Characters from the second part that didn't appear in the first one sort of got shunned to the sidelines, especially the Ritual Beast characters, most of the reason why is because Issei sort of had to take a bigger spotlight compared to the first part, this is due to the fact that the characters didn't have any arcs of development unlike Avance or Kamui.
