Have an out of context scene

"Looks like the programming has taken full effect." Ratchet rebooted Shade's systems, securing her helmet over the exposed circuitry. A slight whine filled the silence between them as the femme slowly came online. She stirred her optics widening as they locked onto the black and white cyberninja. He looked startled, turning to Ratchet.

"Is that...supposed to happen?"

"It's just a byproduct of the programming." The medic rummaged through the drawers looking for something.

Shade finally found her voice; "Jazz! I thought you were-"

  The cyberninja shook his head. "Turns out it was just a nasty case of cyberflu. Ol' Tarantulus wanted to get you alone, so he figured he'd make you go to him looking for a cure."

  Ratchet finally produced a small flashlight and clicked it on, shining it into Shade's optics. She narrowed instinctively. "Optics are responding fine." He clicked the light off and scanned her briefly. "Your other motor functions appear to be functioning normally. How ya feeling, kid?"

   Shade looked down at her servos, flexed them, and frowned. "...different. I'm not sure how." Her helm shot up suddenly. "Did you get rid of-"

"All taken care of. I replaced it with some basic programming, similar to that of a regular protoform."

  She vented in relief. "Thank you, Ratchet." She retrieved up the visor that was laying next to her, hesitating before putting it on. "Out of curiosity...what was that byproduct you mentioned?"

  Ratchet turned to pick up an empty tray and handed it to her. "See for yourself."

  She accepted it hesitantly, took a deep vent, and held it up to her face. What she saw nearly made her drop the tray. Her mouth hung open in shock. Everything about her head was the same, save for one thing:

  Her optics were bright, neon blue.

  Hello readers! This little snippet is from the sequel to my TFA Shade story that I've been working on. Since I have a lot more ideas and content for the sequel, I'll probably release it first. It might take a while, though.
