the strongest of all our land || chapter two
I passed out right before I hit the floor. When I woke up, I expected my bones to be broken. But they weren't. I was inside some sheet in a ball - I ripped through it eventually and at the same time heard foot steps. I gasped and covered my mouth when I saw a guy who looked like a human - like me. "Hey, it's awake!" He yelled out as a guy with black hair, glasses, seeming calm and collective, with blue eyes came to greet me.
Is that the Dragon Lord?
"We'll gather a few people to get it sent to the Dragon Lord," He looked at me, then turned. "Wait a second, aren't you the Dragon Lord? Your blue hair, blue eyes, - I thought your hair was black!" I yelled and stood up, immediately feeling a ton of pain and fell to my knees. He gave me a confused, thoughtful look. "No, I'm just his strongest knight." The man told me.
"Then who is the Dragon King?"
The man didn't answer me. He just came over to me and picked me up with one arm. I complied and he walked me to some kind of travelling wagon. I read about these. I thought that they didn't have them, guess I was wrong. "Knight! Please, take me to the Dragon Lord!" I said as he sighed and put my bag that I fell with next to me. "I will send a scroll and get permission for you by the end of today." He looked away.
"Alright! Thanks, bro!" I smiled cheerfully and he gave me a strange, confused face. "What? My name is not 'bro'! I am Tenya Iida, Dragon Lord's most trusted warrior and knight." The man told me. I did pay attention, but at the same time rummaged through my bag to make sure everything was there. I see the computer was completely smashed, and my books looked sort of destroyed. I didn't want to work, anyways.
An hour later, we're on our way out to this place that looks like a city — no, it's a village. Knight Iida left me to a house with this group of people that weren't home. I didn't trust walking into their house without them being there, but Knight Iida told me to stay here until they were back. When he left, I searched the room, as if there was some way to leave this place. I checked the paintings and looked out the window to see villagers walking around, trading and seeming to be laughing. I sighed and sat onto the ground where there was a drawer next to me. It wasn't until at least an hour later when I heard some conflict outside.
✰ ✰ ✰
It was beginning to become night. The sun was setting. Where are the owners of this house? I went down the stairs that I was up at, above the front door there is a hanging sword and a two battle axes on the side of the door. I poked my head out of the door that I opened to see young children running and screening away from ugly, zombies. "Help! It's chasing me!" A little girl yelled. I hesitated before springing into action.
Grabbing the battle axe that I've just seen, I ran towards the girl and stood protectively in front of her before swinging my axe, slicing the zombie's neck off its shoulders. The little girl was running to who seemed like her parents. I let out a heavy sigh until I turned around and saw a tall, skinny, multi colored creature. I didn't have the guts to actually say something. Before it could touch me with its long, skinny fingers, I sliced its wrist off and put my arm up for protection as it's other arm came down at me to slice my skin to pieces.
It touched me.
But nothing happened to me. I looked at my arm— it looked as if it were rock. Did that thing infect me? I don't know. But all I know is that now I can hit it with the rock arm. I punched it in the face and used my other arm to slice off its neck, just like the zombie. Villagers all around laughed, smiled and cheered for me. It was exhausting to have to hear all the uproar. Best of all, my arm looked like it was back to normal!
But then, I heard it. Steps from behind me that sounded like there was someone important. A sudden silence fell. "Congratulations, young man!" Some guy said, hopping off a horse and clapping for me. More people riding horses followed behind him, and I was in a state of shock. I looked around to see the guys, gals and non-binary pals nearby stopped clapping and kneeling to this man. Maybe he's the Dragon King?
"Young man, please tell me, have you gotten your ghoul slaying provisional license?" The man asked me while I was getting down onto my knee, kneeling for him. "L-license?!" Kiri shuddered. "Oh, you aren't aware? I'm 100% sure you're of this city. Oh well, thank you for your bravery, but you must serve your time." The man grabbed me and pushed my arm behind my back, he slammed me to the ground as I was fighting against him. He rested a knee on my lower back. "Damn you, Dragon Lord!" I yelled. Him and the others around me started laughing, that includes the villagers. "Young man, the Dragon Lord would kill you for going around and comparing him to elegant people like me." He snarled into my ear then lifted me up, pushing me into a traveling wagon, and that's when I noticed my hands were tied up with tight rope.
"I'm the server and knight of the land- They know me as Monoma Neito. Sure, I am not like Sir Tenya Iida, but I can do much better than him serving that selfish, blood thirsty scumbag! And, who knows? Maybe you'll be released by the actual Dragon Lord!" Everyone started laughing with Monoma as I now became the new laughingstock of the village.

Then, soon passed four months of the village's prison.
"Hey, Eijiro, you have someone here to bail you out." Someone came up to me, he looked like he was the warden. "Apparently they want to take you to the Dragon Lord."
"You're kidding, right?" I gasped and went towards the bars of the cell I was stuck in, holding onto them before he pushed me away from them. "Fortunately, I'm not. They're the Dragon Lord's most trusted of all. The strongest group of all our land." He opened the door that kept me imprisoned then walked me to the front of the town's jail, where I met what's said to be the most trusted of all land — what's said to be the strongest of all land.
And then, I met them. The—
