Bunty has a crush on a girl. And made Chintu love another girl from their class.
In simple words it was like "if I fall in pit I will also let others fall in pit".Bunty has that sort of attitude for his friends.

Bunty used to deceive his friends by telling lies about studies,girls,exams thus distracting all from studies.

Ajay on other hand was more mature.he focused only on studies.he knew loving during college may act as distraction to his studies so he avoided it.

Now Ajay works in a good company and has few but good friends who encourage him when he do something right and scolds him when he do something wrong.

Bunty got distracted in studies due to falling in love with a girl. And has to repeat the semester. But he was promoted to second year.

Whereas Chintu who was having gullible and innocent behaviour had to repeat the year as he was having failed subjects in both semesters.
