Long ago, while all the vast worlds were still one, the world was a place of peace and light. Kingdom Hearts, the light that shone on the world, stood in the sky as an ultimate source of power and life. It's counterpart, the X-blade, and the X-blade's weilder were sworn protectors of the ethernal heart. 

It wasn't long before the people of the world's hearts began to feel envy and greed over Kingdom Hearts' power. Many slaved to forge their own weapons, designed after the X-blade, which were appropriately named Keyblades. People were not only forging the Keyblades from desire, but many others made themselves a Keyblade in order to protect Kingdom Hearts alongside its Guardian. 

War raged between the two forces, those of dark that lusted for power and those of light who wanted nothing more than the peace they had had to last. The Guardian of Kingdom Hearts fought fiercely, X-blade cutting with more skill than many of the other warriors combined.The battle lasted for months, almost everyone on both sides had fallen, their keyblades being in the ground as their final resting place. 

After the long battle, three warriors remained: the Guardian, a warrior of dark, and a warrior of light. The Guardian stood tall between them despite the wounds scarring the Guardian's body. The three of them stood in silence looking over the barran wasteland that was littered with Keyblades and fallen soldiers. 

"At this point..." the Guardian began, grabbing the two men's attention, "I have but one choice....." 

Confused, the two warriors stood still as the Guardian walked to the center of the battlefield and held the X-blade high. Clouds seperated from each other to show the brilliant light of Kingdom Hearts. The Guardian looked back at the two warriors. 

"Listen well, for I will only say this once, you both must go out and train others with your own method and powers. I must seal Kingdom Hearts away, for its magnifience is too much for humans to possibly truly respect and grasp." the Guardian spoke solmenly, holding the X-blade in both her hands in front of her, "You both must unlock the secrets of the weapon you hold so tightly in your hands. For this world will no longer just be one world anymore." 

"What? But you cannot seal Kingdom Hearts away! What will we do without it's light!" the warrior of light exclaimed. 

"This wasteland shall be the only place where there will be true darkness, but every where else there will be light. Though, I am afraid, I will no longer here to keep the peace. The X-blade must be shattered in order to completely lock Kingdom Hearts away, but with it, my heart shall shatter also. You both must be ready, for there will be a day that I will come back in the form of another to return to my beloved Kingdom Hearts."  the words flowed from the Guardian's mouth with sorrowness and pain. 

"Wait, what are you saying-" was all either of the warriors could protest before the X-blade made a loud snap as it with broken to pieces. The twenty shattered pieces of the X-blade turned black and white shards of seemingly glass, thirteen black ones, seven white ones. They all floated in the air for a moment before shooting across the sky as the earth began to shake.

The two warriors glanced at each other before each taking their Keyblade and running oppisite directions as the clouds and earth seemed to roar. Darkness covered the sky as Kingdom Hearts disappeared, to be gone forever in darkness.
