They replied to him, "Wa alaykas Salamu wa Rahmatullah - and peace be upon you and Allah's mercy."

Adam (AS) returned to his Rabb, who said, "This will be the greeting of you and your children."

Adam (AS) realized that he had an enemy, who was Iblis and that the angels were his friends. However, one matter remained to be solved. It was that the angels had said, "Our Rabb does not create anything except that we have more knowledge than it."

Allah Ta'aala heard what the angels had said. He wanted to teach them that Adam (AS) was better than them. He summoned all the animals of earth and the birds of the sky and presented them to the angels.

Allah said :" Tell me the names of these if you are truthful."

They replied : "You are the most pure! We have no knowledge except what you have taught us, Indeed You are All - Knowing, Most wise."

Allah said : "O Adam, tell them their names."
