Two Weeks Later.

East Sydney Private Hospital.

Akash sat in his wheelchair staring at his legs which he couldn't move.

He knew stressing over the fact that he was paralyzed was useless and he had to accept it and live with it.
But the worst wasn't the fact that he was paralyzed but the fact that the family he betrayed has never left his side since he was admitted.

Arnav and Aman took care of all of his hospital bills and his comfort including hiring the best doctors in the country to help him.

Khushi and Payal including Preeto and Maya whom he has just got to know always showed up every day to make sure he was well fed and changed regularly.

And Natasha, his Natasha, never left his side and even quit her job just to be with him but was now working at Payal and Khushi's restaurant.

He felt so peaceful with Natasha in ways he never felt with Payal and he knew he was in love with her and so did he know about her and wanted to confess his feelings before he was left paralyzed.

Even though he wanted to be with Natasha, he knew it will be selfish of him to be with her because she was too young to take on a burden like him so he decided to keep his feelings to himself and never confess and if ever Natasha does, he would reject her.

He knew it was selfish to do that but it had to be done.

"Sky? " Natasha's voice broke his reverie and he smiled seeing her looking gorgeous and chic in her white blouse and navy blue jeans paired with black stilettos and a black Shein bedazzled bag on her shoulder and holding a pink paper bag.

She looked worried and pulled one of the chairs and sat in front of him and placed the bag on the table.

"Sky are you okay?...... You look so lost. " Natasha asked and cupped his cheeks and she smiled and moved it and kissed her knuckles.

"Am fine...... I was just thinking about my life and how I begin from here. " Akash replied and signalled her to look at his legs and Natasha shook her head.

"Sky..... If you are worried about what you will do then put a stop to it because this is the twenty-first century and you can do anything you want if you put your mind to it and is serious about it..... You have a supportive family who will support you through everything...... Look at me..... I am an orphan but thanks to you I have four sisters now and they love and support me so much...... I am now a manager at the restaurant which I always wanted to be and now look..... I have it and others love it. " Natasha exclaimed enthusiastically and Akash smiled. "I have no relation with them but they made me one of them so imagine you who is family. " Akash bowed his head as his eyes shimmered with unshed tears and Natasha knew why and lifted his head by the chin. "Let it go Akash...... They've all forgiven you as a real family does to its members who stray but change for the good...... Let this guilt go or especially you won't enjoy it like I am..... Please Sky..... I beg you. "

Akash nodded as the tears finally flowed down his cheek and she hugged him and he reciprocated.

"Now time to eat something before we leave. " Natasha said as he broke the hug and pulled the chair towards him and opened the box.

"It's vegetarian pad thai....... Your favourite. "  Natasha squealed and Akash laughed and she started feeding him.

And that's how Aman and Arnav found the duo laughing and feeding each other.

"Now I know what he felt for Payal was your attraction and not love and Payal and Khushi were right when they said the same. " Arnav said and Aman nodded. "His eyes had never shined the way it does when Natasha is around...... And to tell you the truth, they do look good together but knowing Akash, I would rather let her go than try to be with her especially with his condition. "

"You are right but we can't let that happen. " Aman continued. "But we are here to make sure he doesn't lose his only chance of being happy. "

Natasha felt a presence and looked up to find Aman and Arnav at the door and Akash turned and saw them.

"Are you guys done with the discharge papers? " Natasha asked and Arnav nodded.

"We are only left with his medicines and we are good to go home. " Arnav replied smiling at them but Akash looked gloomy and they all sighed knowing what he was thinking.

"Your house is not my home. " Akash whispered but enough for them to hear.

"It's your home Akash and will always be your home and we are your family..... I know your guilt is the one speaking and it's normal...... I and everyone were angry at you at first because you turned into someone we never thought you will but now you are the real Akash that we all know and you are repenting and that all that matters..... Things happen for a reason Akash...... Thanks to you I have Payal and Aadijay. " Akash smiled genuinely at Aman and he mentally danced knowing his words was working. "This is your time to make it up to Aadijay and I and Payal including the entire family will never let him know what happened..... The only thing he will know is that you and Payal fell out and it was better for you two to separate. " Akash was shocked hearing this.

"But it's all a lie and we never know if one day he will find out and hate me. " Akash exclaimed in concern and Aman shook his head.

"Aadijay is young but he takes after Payal in the form of understanding and he will understand if someday he finds out..... That's why I, Payal and the family wants to start knowing him and he knows you as a father. "

Akash shook his head confusing the trio and they all frown at his gesture.

"Aman.....you are his father and that is the only truth he has to know but I will be happy to be his uncle for the moment and when he is old enough to know, we will try to make him understand in a not so traumatizing way. " Akash insisted and they all smiled and Arnav moved closer and hugged him.

"Welcome back baby brother. " Arnav said and broke the hug and pinched his cheeks.

"Ouch Bhai..... It hurts. " Akash complained with a pout and they all laughed at him because of how adorable he looked.

They were all oblivious of Mami and Nani standing behind them and they had tears in their eyes seeing the brothers finally reuniting again.

Natasha was the first to see them and he expression changed and she looked nervous which confused Akash and he followed her gaze to find his mother and Nani standing at the entrance.

Akash frown and glared at them knowing why Natasha was looking nervous because Nani, Mami including Anjali had always criticized her fashion sense was classy and elegant but Nani and Mami saw it as an easy woman character but with Anjali were was pure jealousy.

"Aku," Mami exclaimed shocking Akash as it has been years since she called him that and his eyes shimmered with unshed tears.

Arnav and Aman who knew why felt sorry for Akash because they knew she yearned for the old Mami they all knew before they started getting rich and she completely changed from an understanding and caring want to a materialistic woman.

"What? " Akash asked angrily because he didn't want to get his hopes up thinking he would get the mother he knew before.

Mami looked down ashamed and Natasha who was confused felt sorry for her and pinched Akash and shook her head.

"I bought you some of your clothes, laptops and all your gadgets. " Mami replied while moving closer with his suitcases and a hurt smile played on her lips which made Akash realise he was too harsh on her and he looked away to prevent himself from crying but Mami misunderstood it as rejection. "I will understand if you don't want me in your life...... I bless you and wish only the best for you...... I will leave now. "

She immediately walked out of there and they knew she was crying.

Nani who knew she was the chase of all this left without saying anything and the tears Akash was holding on to fell uncontrollably and Natasha hugged and consoled him.

Outside the hospital, Mami and Nani entered their cab and her tears didn't go unnoticed by Manohar who had arrived at the hospital.

He knew he loved Mami and she will forever be the love of his life but his one mistake led him to this and he wished he could turn back time to the past where they were really happy with the little they had.

Where Mami was the perfect wife and mother until his mother's constant taunts about her being unworthy of him and calling her a gold digger got to her and she changed after his business started talking off and so did Arnav's.

But it was too late because his divorce with Mami made his marriage to Tanu legal and he always cringes at it.

He then saw Akash being wheeled out of the hospital by a blonde woman and Aman and Arnav holding suitcases following behind them and they entered two Escalades and drove off.

Tanu who was with him couldn't stand the love that shimmered in his eyes when he saw Mami and Akash and it annoyed her that after all these years, she couldn't ameliorate a place in his heart but she had plans, big plans to make him and the family submit to her and that calmed her down.

"Are you going to follow them or not. " Tanu yelled breaking his reverie and he glared at her. "What?..... I need to see my daughters who for God knows what they are being told that they refused to see or answer my calls all these days. "

"Just shut Tanu and stop pretending you care about them and you better be on your good behaviour or else I won't hesitate to send you back to Sri Lanka. " Manohar warned and threatened her making her silent and looking out of the window as Manohar drove out of the hospital to the mansion.

After nearly half an hour, Manohar stopped at a huge gate and Tanu marvelled at the elegance of the huge gate.

Manohar spoke to the guard who let them in and Tanu glanced at the gardens in awe as the mansion came into view.

The mansion had an exterior of marble stones, as it posed in smugness surrounded by the greenery of the gardens.

The way to the entrance went in a roundabout, allowing them to see it in a one-eighty degree and the maple trees near the entrance complimented the greenery perfectly well illuminating the magnificence of the mansion.

She marvelled at the sight of richness and extreme wealth the mansion exuded.

She knew the Raizadas were rich but didn't think of it in such a magnitude.

The house.

They got down and moved to the entrance into the mansion to find it opened and entered and she marvelled at the interior.

Manohar shook his head seeing the greed igniting from her eyes and he felt disgusted.

She moved away from the entrance and gasped seeing the indoor pool on her left.

Manohar heard cheering and dragged her towards it and found Akash who was shedding tears of joy looking at the foods on the table.

"I don't deserve this. " He heard his son say and Khushi slapped his shoulder playfully.

"Of course you...... We are really happy to see you and I officially welcome you home. " Khushi declared dramatically and Arnav kissed her on the cheek making her giggle and blush and the others laughed.

It warmed his heart seeing all of the boy's happiness, from Arnav to Aman to Nk who was holding a woman possessively and he knew it was his fiancee.

He loved that his daughters were also included in the family seeing Mansi holding Akash's hand and he didn't look disgusted by it as he thought he would.

"Amma...... Appa.? " Tara exclaimed in shock seeing her parent and everyone turned to find a nervous Manohar and a nonchalant Tanu.
