Jackson woke up abruptly after yet another realistic nightmare. He rubbed at his eyes and looked to see Cosmo and Maximus were the only other people awake, 

"Hey, guys," 

Maximus slightly smiled at him and nodded, 

"Morning," 

Cosmo smiled at him, 

"Good Morning," 

Maximus nodded at the room where Alice is, 

"You can go in for a few," 

Jackson looked at him, 

"Are you sure?" 

Maximus nodded, 

"Yeah," 

Jackson slowly stood up and entered the room. He felt his heart shatter at seeing Alice unmoving in the hospital bed. He grabbed her hand gently and squeezed it, 

"Hey, Alice...Dang...I never thought this would ever happen. When you told Nick and I about what the results of the surgery were and stuff, I guess I didn't want to believe that something like this could actually happen...especially to you. Alice, you are the most amazing person that I have ever met, and I think it's important that you know that...from the second I met you, I knew something was different about you...like a good different. I have no idea what I'll do if you leave. I care about you a ton Al, don't give up on us, you are still needed and wanted in this crazy messed-up world. I know I have no idea how much you go through every single day, but I want to be there for you more...I'm sorry I haven't...please come back to us safely, don't go without a huge fucking fight...you want to die dramatically remember? Don't you let this stupid illness take that wish away from you, Alice Zaro,"

Jackson sighed and let one tear slip from his watery eyes as he rubbed at them. He patted her hand once more before leaving, feeling more hallow inside than he has in a while.
