Alice and Maximus were hanging out with Cosmo at his place since they were awaiting a phone call with Alice's results. Cosmo grabbed her hand,

"It's okay Ally, don't stress too much,"

Alice looked at him,

"Nebs, I'm worried,"

Maximus sighed,

"We all are, but don't worry, we will stick with you,"

Alice smiled softly at him. Then Maximus' phone started ringing and he immediately picked it up and put it on speaker,

"Hello?"

"Hello, is this Maximus Zaro?"

"Yeah, you are on speaker with Alice and Cosmo,"

"Alright, so Miss Zaro, this is not easy to say,"

The three frowned at his words, Alice took the phone,

"What is it?"

"My team and I have been looking into all of your tests, even all the past ones since you started getting check-ups...and we found something,"

Alice frowned and Cosmo wrapped his arm around her,

"What did you find doc?"

"You have this odd problem with your heart where there is some serious clotting but instead of causing horrible heart problems, it has been causing your attacks. I don't want to be the one telling you, but you need surgery as soon as possible. What I have noticed is that every single time you get an attack, it gets worse which is why you felt more pain last month when you got that big attack,"

No one spoke for a solid second. Alice just stared forward, in shock, and Maximus and Cosmo could barely comprehend what Doctor Zander has said. Alice gave the phone to Maximus and left the room. Maximus looked at his phone and sighed,

"I-uh...thank you doctor...uh...so wh-when should we go to the hospital?"

"I'll get a room set up for tomorrow, again...I'm sorry Maximus,"

"I-it's alright...see you tomorrow,"

They hung up and Maximus looked at Cosmo,

"I-I gotta check up on her..."

"Y-yeah, go,"

Maximus ran out of the room and saw Alice staring off into space on the porch. Maximus pulled her into a hug as she burst into tears. Maximus started tearing up to,

"A-Alice...we...we will get through this,"

"No no no, you will be fine. WE will be fine alright? No matter how long we gotta stay in a hospital, I will be there for you like always,"

Alice shook her head and continued crying into his chest as he pulled her into him tighter. Maximus squeezed her,

"Maxie...promise me you will never give up even after I go,"

They went back in and Cosmo looked up at them and saw their blood-shot eyes and he immediately got up and pulled them into a group hug,

"Okay, let's get prepared, I gotta let my mom know that I won't be home for a few days,"
