Maximus groaned as he slowly opened his eyes to feel a weight on his left shoulder. He looked to the side to see Cosmo sleeping with his head on his shoulder. He chuckled softly and looked at Alice's hospital bed and sighed as he saw her still sleeping. He glanced up as the door opened and saw Amaury bringing in three cups of coffee. The past two days, Cosmo and Maximus were in Alice's room while Adam, Okan, and Amaury would stay with them as much as possible without sleeping over on the couch. Maximus carefully grabbed a cup of coffee,

"Thanks,"

Amaury nodded,

"Anything?"

Maximus shook his head,

"Not yet,"

Amaury nodded,

"You should get some air, you have been stuck in this dingy room for for the past two days, you need some fresh air,"

Maximus shook his head,

"You know I can't do that...I can't leave her in here,"

Amaury sighed and put a hand on his leg,

"I know Maxie...I know. But you gotta take care of yourself. Ally would not like it if you were ignoring your own health,"

Maximus sighed and glanced at Cosmo,

"I just...I can't Amaury...It feels wrong,"

Amaury sighed,

"I get it man, I do...but take care of yourself dude. Maybe even change your clothes,"

Maximus cringed and looked at his shirt,

"Uh...yeahhhh,"

Amaury chuckled,

"You wore the same clothes this whole time?"

Maximus blushed,

"Maybe,"

Amaury burst into laughter, startling Cosmo who jumped,

"I-I'm up, I'm up,"

The two laughed harder at the groggy adult. Cosmo looked around and yawned,

"What time is it?"

Maximus glanced at his phone,

"Almost 8,"

Cosmo sighed,

"Why so early?"

Amaury chuckled,

"I have work at nine,"

Cosmo shrugged,

"But still,"

Amaury chuckled and handed him the coffee,

"Here. Keep me updated I'll see you two later,"

Amaury left after Cosmo and Maximus waved at him. Maximus glanced at Cosmo,

"Is your family just not worried?"

Cosmo shrugged,

"I told them, my mom will come by soon to drop some breakfast and clothes off so we can change,"

Maximus looked at him in confusion,

"We?"

Cosmo smirked,

"Yes, WE. She found some clothes that she thinks you will like,"

Maximus smiled,

"Thanks,"

Cosmo smiled and nodded,

"Anytime, I'll just text the chat to see when she will be here,"

Maximus nodded and Cosmo pulled out his phone.

"She's here, be right back,"

Maximus nodded and Cosmo left and rushed to his mom holding a few bags. He pulled her into a hug and kissed her cheek,

"Thanks, mama,"

Danielle smiled and kissed his head,

"You are welcome, now go back and force Max to change and eat something, that poor child,"

Cosmo nodded,

"Will do,"

Cosmo smiled as his mother left and walked back into the room with the bags. Maximus looked up at him and Cosmo looked at him,

"If you do not go into that bathroom right now and change, I will personally haunt you the rest of your life,"

Maximus sighed and glanced at his twin again,

"Fine. Just yell if you need anything,"

Cosmo smiled in victory and nodded,

"Yeah, of course. Now get outta here for like five minutes,"

Maximus chuckled softly and grabbed the shirt and sweats,

"Thank you,"

Cosmo smiled at him,

"Your welcome,"

Maximus went into the bathroom and Cosmo sighed while plopping down on the couch,

"Bunny, you gotta wake up soon. I swear that kid is losing his mind second by second. We all miss you,"

Maximus rushed back into the room and smiled proudly,

"Better?"

Cosmo chuckled and nodded,

"Yeah, now you don't look homeless,"

Maximus rolled his eyes and Cosmo took out the plates and food that his mother prepared for the two,

"We have eggs and pancakes,"

Maximus smiled,

"I love your mom,"

Cosmo laughed and smiled,

"She loves you too,"

Maximus smiled hugely and the two started eating their food. Doctor Zander came in and chuckled at the two,

"I see Maximus finally changed clothes,"

Maximus sighed,

"Woah. Deep stab doc,"

Zander chuckled and shrugged,

"All in the day's work...anything?"

The two shook their heads. Maximus sighed,

"I just hope she wakes up soon,"

Maximus grabbed her hand and squeezed it gently squeezed her hand,

Maximus screamed in shock,

"GUYS! I felt her hand squeeze back!"

Zander and Cosmo immediately were at his side watching the teenager. Alice groaned,

"What the hell? Why does it feel like I got hit by a bus?"

Maximus and Cosmo laughed in pure relief while Zander chuckled,

"How are you feeling?"

Alice opened her eyes,

"Like I got hit by a bus,"

Cosmo sighed,

"If only,"

Alice immediately glared at him,

"Oy!"

Cosmo laughed and smiled at her,

"Kidding,"

Alice smiled and Maximus squeezed her hand softly,

"Welcome back Ally,"

Alice chuckled softly,

"Thanks, how long was I out?"

Zander smiled,

"Around three days,"

Alice nodded slowly,

"Cool, when can I leave?"

Maximus sighed,

"Not for a bit longer,"

Alice sighed,

"Ugh,"

The three chuckled softly. Zander nodded at Maximus and Cosmo,

"I must ask you two to leave for a moment while I check up on Alice,"

Maximus sighed but left after Cosmo. Zander sat down in the chair next to Alice,

"Can you sit?"

Alice slowly sat up and laid her back against the head board,

"My whole chest feels like it's on fire,"

Zander nodded,

"It should, we performed the surgery and fixed almost everything. However, you must not be under any stress for the next month or so. If you get a big attack, it could very well cause more problems that will be hard to fix,"

Alice nodded slowly,

"Okay, no stress...gotcha,"

Zander smiled softly,

"Yeah, you have to be careful and rest your body, you should not be alone in an unknown place for too long. Try to be with someone who knows your illness at all times or have someone within the vicinity at least,"

Alice sighed,

"Damn, no freedom,"

Zander chuckled,

"Yeah, no freedom for a while longer,"

Alice nodded,

"Testing?"

Zander nodded,

"Bi-Weekly until we get the all-clear from your heart,"

Alice sighed,

"How much will that cost?"

Zander sighed sadly,

"Don't worry about that right now, worry about healing,"

Alice shrugged,

"I gotta doc,"

Zander patted her shoulder,

"Take care of yourself Alice,"

Alice nodded,

"Alright alright, I'll be careful,"

Zander nodded

"Great, I know you don't like telling people, but I don't think you want to be around Cosmo and Maximus twenty-four seven,"

Alice chuckled and smirked,

"That is true...I'll work on it,"

Zander smiled and patted her shoulder,

"I'll get them back in here. We can discharge you tonight,"

Alice smiled,

"Thank you,"

Zander smiled and nodded. He left the room and immediately Maximus and Cosmo were in the room again. Cosmo smiled at her,

"So, what's the plan Bunny?"

Alice chuckled and smiled softly,

"I wanna tell Ender and Derek,"

Cosmo and Maximus looked at her in shock before they broke out into a big grin. Cosmo wrapped an arm around her shoulder,

"Proud of you,"

Alice smiled,

"Thanks Nebs,"

She pulled out her phone,

"I'll just text it into the group chat,"

Cosmo nodded and took out his phone too. Alice opened her messages and smiled at her coworkers Groupchat.

I get these attacks that happen
when I am under some kind of
stress? or something like that.
So they been happening since
I was like seven or something
like that. Only a few ppl know
bout my 'illness' cuz they saw
me experiencing one of those
attacks. They r similar to
panic/anxiety attacks which
suck lol. But so I just got some
surgery done to help with it cuz
apparently it happens cuz of a
heart issue or something like that.
My doc said that I had to be
extremely careful the next month
or so cuz if I get a bad attack my
it won't look pretty for me. So I
decided to tell y'all. 😅
