Alice woke up with a start and sighed when she saw a familiar white room of a hospital room. She heard the door open and looked to see Maximus walking up to her,

"Hey,"

Alice smiled softly,

"Sup,"

Maximus smiled and sat down in a chair by her bed and grabbed her hand,

"How are you feeling?"

Alice chuckled,

"The same as always, it kinda hurts a bit more than usual though,"

Maximus frowned slightly,

"Where?"

Alice sighed and pointed to her left chest...right where her heart is...Maximus frowned deeply,

"I'll get the doc, they said that they wanted to run a few of the usual tests today,"

Alice shrugged and nodded,

"Nothing other than the usual,"

Maximus sighed and nodded,

"Yup, the life of the Zaro twins,"

Alice laughed and Maximus smiled,

"Oh, and Cosmo wanted to know if he could visit after work today,"

Alice chuckled and nodded,

"Sure,"

Maximus smiled and nodded,

"Great, now try to relax a bit okay?"

Alice smiled,

"I will,"

Maximus left quickly to find a doctor and found Doctor Zander by the door,

"Doctor Zander, Alice is awake,"

Doctor Zander looked at the teenager and smiled,

"Thank you, Mister Zaro,"

Maximus nodded and Zander walked into Alice's room,

"Hello Miss Alice Zaro, my name is Doctor Zander, how are you feeling?"

Alice looked up at him and sighed,

"I'm feeling a pain in my chest right now,"

Zander nodded and wrote that down in his notes,

"Does that usually happen when you experience these attacks?"

Alice shrugged,

"Sometimes,"

Zander frowned slightly and nodded,

"Alright, if it is alright with you, I would like to run my own test on you,"

Alice looked at him in confusion,

"What kind?"

Zander smiled kindly at her,

"Not to worry dear, it will be a test to monitor your heart, the past doctors have primarily focused on your brain and lungs but I think it could be helpful if we monitor your heart as well,"

Alice nodded,

"Alright, how long is the test?"

Zander smiled at her,

"The results take a few weeks, maybe a month, to come in, but the process is relatively simple, we will give you some anesthetics and take a few blood samples as well as take some images of your heart itself,"

Alice nodded,

"Alright, I'll do it,"

Zander nodded,

"Great, we just need your signature right here,"

Alice signed and Zander nodded,

"We will do the test in a few hours as to allow you to rest and have some visitors before,"

Alice nodded,

"Thank you,"

Zander smiled,

"You are very welcome,"

Zander left and nodded at Maximus,

"You can go in now, we will start some tests in a few hours,"

Maximus smiled and nodded,

"Thank you doctor...uh do you mind if I ask how much?"

Zander looked at his notes and glanced at the amount: $3,000. Zander smiled at Maximus,

"Since this is all for research, it is free of charge,"

Maximus' eyes widened,

"Woah, really?!"

Zander smiled and nodded,

"Yes,"

Maximus sighed in relief,

"Thank you so much, Doctor,"

Zander nodded at him,

"You are very welcome,"

Maximus looked at his phone and chuckled as he saw that Cosmo was almost there. Maximus entered Alice's room again and gave her a water bottle,

"Doctor Zander said you should drink some water,"

Alice smiled and gladly accepted the water,

"Thanks, Maxie,"

Maximus rolled his eyes,

"I still hate that nickname,"

Alice smirked,

"All the more reason to use it,"

Maximus rolled his eyes and glanced at her,

"Cosmo should be here soon, he texted me earlier,"

Alice smirked,

"Clout,"

Maximus burst into laughter and nodded,

"Yes, free clout,"

Then they heard a knock and turned to see Cosmo smiling at them and held up a bouquet of flowers. Maximus smiled while Alice chuckled,

"You really got flowers?"

Cosmo smirked,

"Of course I did, and I got blue ones! Well, and red ones!"

Alice laughed softly while Cosmo gave them to Maximus,

"Thank you, Nebs,"

Cosmo winked at her,

"The best for the best,"

Alice chuckled and Cosmo smiled. He looked around the room,

"Well, you got a nice room...it's nice and white,"

That made the twins laugh harder. Maximus smirked,

"I know right? They always put her in the most decorated rooms,"

Alice pouted,

"Y'all are mean,"

The two guys laughed and Cosmo smiled at her,

"We are just playing Bunny, don't worry. So when did the docs say you can be released?"

Alice shrugged,

"After my tests,"

Cosmo nodded,

"When will those be?"

Alice looked at the clock,

"Like in another hour or so,"

Cosmo nodded,

"You know what will cheer you up?"

Alice smirked,

"What?"

Cosmo winked at her,

"Clout,"

They all laughed and Cosmo took out his phone and threw his sweater at Alice,

"Put that on and sit up straighter, we gonna do an amazing pose,"

Alice chuckled and nodded,

"Alright,"

Alice smirked,

"Yes! The clout!"

They all laughed again and Alice smiled at Cosmo,

"I appreciate it Nebs, thank you,"

Cosmo smirked at her,

"Anything for you Bunny,"

Alice chuckled and hugged him carefully and he gladly hugged her back. Doctor Zander walked in again and smiled at the three adults,

"Alice, we are ready for the tests,"

Alice nodded and glanced at her twin and friend,

"Be back soon-ish,"

They nodded and Zander helped her up and took her to the exam room.

Cosmo and Maximus looked up from the waiting room when they heard the door opening, Doctor Zander came out with Alice right behind him. Maximus smiled at his twin,

"How did it go?"

Alice shrugged,

"It went well,"

Doctor Zander nodded,

"We will have our results in around a month, just try to stay calm and relaxed. Be very careful,"

Alice nodded,

"I will Doc,"

Zander smiled and shook her hand,

"We will be in touch,"

Alice nodded and Cosmo handed her his hoodie again,

"Here, it's cold out,"

Alice chuckled and put on the hoodie,

"Thank you,"

Maximus smiled,

"Is it alright if we come over Cosmo?"

Cosmo nodded,

"Yeah, of course. I will tell my mom that you guys are coming over, she was worried when I told her Bunny was in the hospital,"

Alice smiled hugely and nodded,

"Tell her I said thank you,"

Cosmo smiled and nodded,

"Will do,"

They got in his car and drove off to Cosmo's house. Alice looked at Maximus,

"What about our mom?"

Maximus shrugged,

"I think she is at work right now,"

Alice shrugged and nodded,

"Alright,"

They both secretly knew what that meant: She was probably out getting wasted again. Alice smiled at Maximus,

"I love you,"

Maximus smiled softly at her,

"I love you too,"
