Busted

Natalie and I ended up shopping for the rest of the day, until the mall closed actually. I love getting new stuff, but I hate the shopping part of it. Walking around the mall for hours, the people, trying stuff on, waiting in lines, etc. You get the point.

I was walking downstairs to grab a pop tart from the cupboard when two hands pushed me down the stairs. Luckily, there wasn't that many left so I didn't go tumbling down. But I could tell bruises would be forming soon.

I whipped my head around, seeing my little brother. Once he saw the death look on my face, he ran for the hills.

"MOM!" I yelled, standing up and brushing off my pants even though there was no dirt or anything on it.

"What is it, Sam?" She walked into the room, looking exhausted.

"I just busted my fucking ass because your son pushed me down the stairs." I replied. She sighed, rubbing her forehead.

"Don't use that language, and which son?" She asked.

"The little demon child you decided to have. You should've stuck with three children. He's satan." I said, crossing my arms over my chest.

"Thomas! Can you come here please!" My mom yelled to him. He cautiously came down to where we were and I fought the urge to hit him.

"Tell Sam you're sorry."

"I'm sorry," He said, looking apologetic. But that look was quickly replaced with a smirk. "That you're a fat ass!"

My jaw dropped as he ran off, my mom running after him and yelling at him.

"What's with all the freakin' noise?" I looked up to see my younger brother Dean, who's 14, rubbing his eyes and still in his pajamas.

"The devil decided to push me down the stairs and I just about busted my ass." I answered.

"Good" He answered with a laugh. I glared at him and he just shrugged, going to the cupboards in the kitchen. He grabbed the box fruity pebbles and opened it, tipping it up to his mouth. The cereal rushed into his mouth faster than he'd intended and it went all over the floor, basically giving him a fruity pebble shower.

"Now THAT was funny!" I burst out laughing as he glared at me.

"Now pick this up and go get ready for school. Don't make mom late." I said in a serious tone when I finished laughing. I grabbed a poptart and went outside. Just as I did, Natalie pulled up and we both rose to school.

"I feel bad ignoring Jake," She sighed. "He looks really sad whenever I blow him off."

"Forget him. He's not even hot anyways." I replied, not knowing how to reply.

"Morning ladies" Shawn passed us, nodding his head.

"Hey Shawn" Natalie and I said in unison.

Shawn's basically the schools biggest nerd AND geek, not in a bad way, but he just is. Perfect grades, 4.0 gpa, chess club, math club, science club, book club, etc. He's probably the only boy I think is remotely good looking in our school. Smart guys are always attractive. Well, maybe not always, but it's an attractive quality to have on a guy.

"I saw the way you just looked at him." Nat said, snapping me out of my thoughts.

"What?"

"You had googley eyes when he went past us!" She squealed. "Aw that's so cute Sam!"

"What the hell are you talking about?" I asked. I didn't have googley eyes when he walked past us, she needs to calm down.

"You like Shawn!" She exclaimed. I gave her the dumbest look ever and closed my locker.

"No. Just......no" And with that I walked away, leaving her to jump to conclusions. She's a crazy girl, that one.

I wasn't paying attention, per usual, and I fell to the ground as someone bumped into me. I'm not gonna have an ass by the end of the fucking day if this keeps happening.

"OW!" I yelled out in pain, looking up at who knocked me down. Mason McMichaels. Of course.

"I'm so sorry, let me help you." He apologized, picking up my books for me and holding out his hand to help me up. I ignored it, standing up on my own.

"That's the second time I've busted my ass this morning." I groaned in pain. He laughed and I quickly shot him a death glare, grabbing my stuff out of his hands and walking to class.

Well, first block went by fairly quickly. Let's hope second block does too.

I walked into forensics, taking my usual seat and beginning the warm up that was on the board. Everyone was here and working on the warm up and I noticed the class became silent. I looked around to see everyone working, which was strange because I'm in a class full of idiots.

"What are you looking at freak?" I was pulled out of my thoughts by the one and only Brittany Evans. I guess I zoned out and I was looking at her, I don't know why though, there's not much to look at.

"You, bitch. Do you have eyes?" I said back. By now, everyone in class was looking at us and some guys were going "OOOOOO."

"Settle down class, settle down," Mrs.Hettley shushed everyone before turning to Brittany and I. "You two, if this happens again you're both getting a referral."

"Yes m'am." I sarcastically replied, putting my head down and continuing the warm up.

Ten minutes later when we were taking notes from a PowerPoint, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned and the girl next to me handed me a piece of paper. I gave her a confused and annoyed look before taking it out of her hand and opening it.

I'm really sorry about this morning. Sit with me at lunch so I can make it up to you?
- Mason

I looked to where he was sitting. He had a dead stare on me that never left and looked like it wasn't ever going to. When he noticed I read it, he had a big smile on his face. I gave him a face and wrote on the back of the note.

There's no way in hell I'd sit with you.
- Sam
P.S. make it up to me by buying me a shit ton of chocolate and letting me use your netflix

I gave it to the girl next to me, and it was passed until it got to Mason. He opened the note with a big smile, then frowned, then silently chuckled. He wrote on the note again and it got handed back to me again. I'm surprised Mrs.Hettley hasn't even noticed. Well, she is extremely old and half blind.

You got it (;
- Mason

I grimaced as the bell rang, I didn't wanna risk anyone finding the note and accusing me of liking him, because I don't, so I shoved it in my bag and left the class, speed walking to my next class so Mason couldn't catch up with me.

"So you mean to tell me that THE Mason McMichaels was flirting with you?" Brandy looked at me in excitement. I rolled my eyes.

"He wasn't flirting with me," I paused shoving another French fry in my mouth. "He was being a douche bag. It was obviously a joke."

"I don't think so."

"And whys that?" I looked up at Brandy.

"Because he's coming over here." I groaned, putting my elbows on the table and letting my head rest in my hands.

"Hey Sammy" I heard a familiar voice say. I slowly looked up to see Mason. He was leaning his hands on the table and his face was way too damn close to mine.

"Do you need something?" I asked.

"Yes, actually, I do." He began, sitting next to me. "I wanna make it up to you for accidentally bumping into you this morning."

"Dude chill you accidentally knocked me over, you didn't stab me. Now can we drop it?"

"Nope." He smirked.

"You're enjoying this aren't you?"

"Yup," He grinned, handing me a piece of paper. "Text me."

"In your fucking dreams buddy." I replied with a laugh.

He laughed too before he left our table.

"God that was-" I was cut off by a high pitched voice, instantly giving me a headache.

"Hey Samantha!" I looked to see Julia Graham.

"You just did it again, you made the face!" Natalie said, pointing at me.

"I don't think right now is the best time for that, Nat." Brandy said, pulling Natalie's arm down.

"What do you want Julia?" I said.

"I see you've clearly fallen for Mason."

I almost choked, bursting out laughing and letting out a loud snort.

"Man you're dumber than I thought!" I replied, still laughing.

"Listen fat ass, just don't talk to him and we won't have a problem. Do you understand me or do I need to talk slower to dumb it down for you?" She asked me the last part slowly and I rolled my eyes.

"I'm trying to eat and looking at you is making me lose my appetite so could you, you know," I paused, shooing my hand away making a gesture as to say 'go away'.

My friends struggled to hide their laughs as Julia looked embarrassed. As an attempt to seem better than us, she tossed her hair back and shot one last glare at us before leaving.

"Man I love high school." I sarcastically said with a laugh. Nat threw her arm around my shoulders.

"Me too Sammy, me too." She smirked.
