*It was the 5th battle, the battle that could decide the winner of the practice finals. The score was 2-2 and Lane was grinning sinisterly as he covered his face with his hand as his eye peeked out and Athena pretty much just stared coldly at him as she watched his Flare flow around him*

Lane: So Athena, what are your last words to Adeona before it is destroyed to a thousand pieces?!

Athena: Destroyed you say? I already told you that wasn't going to happen.

Lane: I'll give you credit for lasting this long, i should've destroyed you in the previous battle but looks like you've exceeded my expectations once again. So this time, i'm holding nothing back! I'll rip Adeona to shreds in this battle!

Athena: Oh really now? Just don't cry when i win this.

*Lanes eyes begin to widen as he smiles with a sinister grin, his voice breaking and took on a more psychotic tone*

Lane: Ha, i'm actually praising you!

*Lane could feel a newfound energy building up inside him, the energy took the form of the Black Sun and it pulsed with a purple ring. Lane opened his eyes and he screamed out his next words as his eyes glowed*

Lane: YOU'RE THE ONE WHO'S GOING TO CRY!!

Referee: 5th Battle!!

*Both bladers take their positions and the battle was about to start*

Referee: Ready Set!!

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

*Both beys land in the stadium for the final time and both of them race around the stadium at top speed*

Lane: Send them flying!!

Athena: Alright, show them your awakened power!!

*Both beys clashed with all their might as sparks began to fly from the collision. Lane began to smile evilly as Lucifer was starting to push it back and send it flying*

Athena: Tch..!

*Lucifer heads onto the 4th Level and heads to jump off of it*

Lane: Do it!!

*Lucifers leaps off the 4th Level into the air and dove straight for Adeona!*

Athena: You know what to do! Counter now!!

*Adeona uses its awakened blades to strike Lucifer head on and it sends it flying into the air and Lane was whipped in the face with a surge of power*

Athena: Is that all you've got? This is all over!

Lane: Oh no, this is only the beginning of the end!

*Lucifer lands back in the stadium and it began to chase Adeona onto the 1st Level*

Athena: Alright Adeona, full speed!!

*Adeona scrapes on its +L Attachment and speeds ahead! The sun inside of Lane releases a thumping heartbeat sound! Adeona lands back in the stadium as Lucifer was close behind*

Athena: Alright now! Do it!!

*Another loud tremor shakes the sun within Lane and he could actually feel it as it ripped through his heart*

*Adeona slams into the wall and it gained a bit of speed*

Athena: Me and Adeona are the ones who reign supreme!

*The sun began to surge with power and Lanes eyes began to glow with a yellow glow and a purple stream of energy began to emit from his iris*

Lane: The ones who reign supreme is me and Lucifer!

*Lanes eye pulsates with a purple energy as he screams out his special move*

Lane: True Emperor Disaster!!

*Lucifer began to accelerate as its blades began to glow with a purple light*

Athena: Send it flying with Ultimate Symphony!!

*Their flares glow to life and Both beys collide and Adeona was effortlessly pushing Lucifer back and was pushing it back towards the rim of the stadium! the Sun within Lane exploded into a fiery supernova and Lane felt a new surge of power come forth! 6 Purple blades form above the stadium and one of Lucifers spikes grabs onto one of Adeonas wings...! The wings swirl in a spiral motion and Lucifer sends Adeona flying and it burst from the intense impact and a massive explosion erupts and the crowd screamed from the winds caused by the explosion!! The layer of Adeona flies up and 3 cracks form in it and it breaks into pieces with an earsplitting shatter and they fall in front of Athenas face who had a face of nothing but shock and terror!*

Lane: HOW'S THAT?!!?!

Silver Eye: Is that really Lane?!

Ashtem: How interesting.. the Dark Prince Of The Sun...!!

Referee: Emperor Lucifer, Burst Finish! With a final score of 4-2, Lane Valhalla is the winner!!

*Everyone in the crowd was shocked, murmurs from the crowd could be heard and Athenas friends in the crowd were more surprised than everybody else*

Shu: Lane..

Valt: Adeona has been completely destroyed..!

Chiki: N-No way.. how could something like this happen?!

Aiga: Athena..

*Athena fell to her knees and she picked up the pieces of her bey and she was speechless, she wanted to speak but no words came out and then she heard the voice of Lane booming down at her*

Lane: Well it looks i win.

*Athena looks up at Lane furiously and she looked back down with sadness*

Lane: Now, let's hear you cry! COME ON, CRY FOR US!!!

*Athena looked down at the broken fragments of her Adeona and tears began to well up in her eyes and they began to fall on the fragments of Adeona.*

Silver Eye: What is wrong with him!?!

Ashtem: I knew from the start that Lane would destroy his sister to nothing but i would've never thought he would take it as far as he did now. But i believe this is only the start of what is to come in the future, now that he has destroyed the last bey he needed to destroy; Lucifers evolution can finally begin.

Silver Eye: And what is going to stop him from destroying me and the rest of the Snake Pit?!

Ashtem: Unquestionable loyalty, unless you think you're not cut out for it.

*Silver Eye straightened and nodded and looked back towards the scene as he watched Athena walk off from the stage. Wakiya was watching them and overhearing the entire conversation*

---Later that night---

*Athena walked sadly through the streets of Japan and she walked into the Sparking Arena training center since Aiga wanted to see her*

Aiga: Looks like you finally made it, are you alright?

Athena: I'm fine..

Aiga: I'm sorry about the battle earlier, i really thought you had it in the bag. But it's gonna be ok, you can just repair it or you can evolve it if you want!

Athena: But do i though? I can't keep doing this anymore.. Why should i be the one getting hurt over his wrongdoings?!

Aiga: Athena..

Athena: I'm done, you can have this if you want it..

*She drops the pieces of Adeona to the floor and she storms off but Aiga follows her and stops her before she can leave*

Aiga: Athena stop this, i know you and this doesn't sound like you at all! I know what it's like to lose your bey at the hands of a villain, it really stings but you have to get back up and move on and once you do, you can start all over again with a new bey in hand. What do think Adeona would think about this, would it appreciate you throwing it away after all you've been through with it?

*Athena looked down at her broken bey and it was completely unresponsive, she notices her mother Elaina entering the room*

Elaina: You know he's right, besides i think Adeonas battles are the best battles and i think i want to see more from it.

Athena: Mom...

*Athena looked down at her broken fragments and she closed her fist around them and she began to smile*

Athena: Alright, i'll do it.

*Aiga and Elaina smile and all 3 of them went to bed for the night. Aiga and Lanes match would take place in a couple of days so Aiga had plenty of time to prepare*

---The Next Day---

*Athena went back to the Sparking Arena and she watched all the Legends training harder than ever, the match she had with Lane the day before must've motivated them to become even stronger. Every legend she had ever met was there and they were training for the Sparking Legend Tour which was 2 weeks away*

Athena: To think i would ever get the opportunity to meet more Legendary Bladers, every last one of them are some of the most unique people i've had honor of meeting. Their strength is incredible and they truly live up to the term of Legendary Blader..

*She looked down at her Adeona and she smiled! She goes off and heads to the Bombers as she had heard that the Asahi brothers had made new beys already so she went off to see what they were about. When she got there, the Asahi bros were excited to see her*

Hyuga: Athena! You're here!!

Hikaru: What's up? We heard about what happened to Adeona too..

Athena: Well it's fine, that's actually why i'm here. i've come to evolve Adeona into a new evolved form and knowing you, i figured you and your new beys have some crazy new gimmicks up your sleeves.

Hyuga: You bet! This is Inferno Hyperion!!

Hikaru: And this is Laser Helios!!

Athena: Ah so these are your new beys, sweet!!

Hikaru: And you guessed correct, we did go the extra mile and made a new system! We call it the Spark-Drive system!

Athena: Spark-Drive system?

Hyuga: Yep! Everything there is to know about it is on the computer in the lab!

Athena: Alright, i'll be out shortly!

*Athena went inside of the Bombers lab and all the things she needed to evolve her bey were there. She takes to the computer and takes a look at the designs for the Spark-Drive System Beys and she was astonished by what she learned*

Athena: Amazing! So these new beys are just like regular Sparking beys but they seem to be a lot more compact and heavier! Their chips seem to have a burst stopper in them.. fascinating!

*Athena went right to work on her new Adeona and she began with the Chassis which she planned to make it a Single Chassis! The 8A Chassis was a Right Spin only Single Chassis that had a very sharp shape to it with a very heavy weight. She went to work on the Sparking Chip which she planned to make it Right Spin only and just like Helios and Hyperion, it was going to have a burst stopper in it*

Athena: We're half way done Adeona, sooner or later we'll get our payback..

*She went to work on the Driver which was going to be a fused disk and driver with a special mode change in it and finally the Ring which was the most special part of the bey.. After about 2 hours of construction and adding details and color. The new Adeona was finally completed*

Athena: It's finally completed! Welcome to the world, Sovereign Adeona!!

*The bey began to glow in her hand and when she went out of the lab to battle, the brothers were already gone*

Athena: Man, they left early.. ah well, i guess we'll battle later Adeona!

*Adeona glows and it drags Athena into the Avatar World and Adeonas new look was completed! Adeona donned Black Steel Armor with Purple Veins and Eyes and it had purple energy wings that sprouted from the back*

Athena: Lookin great Adeona!

Adeona: It's great to be back!!

Athena: I still feel bad about you getting destroyed the way you did, i coulda done something to stop it from happening but-

Adeona: You don't need to blame yourself Athena, all that matters is that we can start over again. We did it with Limit Break and now we can do it again with Spark-Drive.

Athena: I see, well either way.. i'm excited to have some amazing battles with you again, Spark-Drive is gonna be a lot of fun.

*The avatar world disappeared and Athena went to the Sparking Arena and she found her first opponent, it was Drum Koryu!*

Athena: Drum!!

*Drum looked up from his training and he looked back towards Athena with a bit of surprise and smiled*

Drum: Athena, you're back!

*Athena nodded and she held up her brand new bey*

Drum: Ah so you finally fixed it!

Athena: Yeah, this is Sovereign Adeona!

Drum: Sovereign Adeona huh? Sounds interesting!!

Athena: It should, it's apart of the Spark-Drive System.

Drum: Spark-Drive System? What is that?

Athena: You'll find out soon.

*Both beys get set up at the stadium and both bladers take their positions and the battle was about to start*

Drum: Sovereign Adeona.. from the looks of things, it has a fused disk and driver combination with a Single Chassis to accommodate that. It also seems to have Metal in its chip which also seems to Right Spin only, looks like it ditched the Dual Spin for this evolution. There also seems to be something else about it but i can't quite put my finger on it..

Athena: I know everything there is to know about Tempest Dragon so this will be a piece of cake hopefully!

3 2 1 GO SHOOT!!!

*Both beys land in the stadium and Sovereign Adeona raced around the stadium at top speed as it zoomed past Dragon*

Drum: Wow it's so fast..!

*Adeona comes charging in for the attack as does Dragon*

Athena: Let's go! Sovereign Adeona!!

*Both beys collide and one of Adeonas big blades begins to cushion back and it sends Dragon flying into the air*

Drum: That was some incredible attack power, Looks like Adeonas ring has rubber attack blades with a bit of metal in them!!

*Dragon hits the wall as it uses the weight and speed of the Charge Metal driver to gain a bit of speed boost and it hits the wall and uses its Bound wings to charge in for the blow*

Drum: Bound Wing!!

*Adeona tilts on its driver as it began to speed up too*

Athena: Now's the time, Adeona!!

*Adeona began to glow with its Purple and White Flare as it speeds toward Dragon*

Drum: It's time to get serious! 

*Dragon hits the wall again and awakens*

Drum: Tempest Break!!

Athena: Now incinerate them, Sovereign Symphony!!

*Adeona bursts straight through Dragon and the stadium erupts with a ball of flames*

Athena: Alright! Hehe!!

*Adeona continued to spin in the stadium as it began to glow with its Flare and it glowed even brighter as Athena smiled*

Athena: Adeona.. we've finally done it, we're just gonna get stronger from here!
