Act 2: A Worrying Event

The next morning, Colin let his dog and went out into the streets. He had to find Jacquelyn and learn as much as he can about his life. There was something very troubling about Jacquelyn's life that made Colin concerned. It was early morning when Colin arrived at the trading center. As he was making his way to the center, the shorter man decided to pay a visit to another prince. He entered the castle and waited at the entrance.

"Who are you?" Proimnseas asked as she pointed her lance at the man.

"I am here to seek an audience with your rulers" he said with a bow.

"Why?" she asked seriously.

"You are in no position to question me when it may involve the lives of your prince and princess" he said seriously.

Proimnseas was tense. She had this very doubtful feeling about this man.

"Proimnseas! Who is there?" Percival asked as he stormed into the entrance.

He felt this strange relation with this man.

"I am Lancelot. I have come here to warn you about a man with a very strong sword. He's after you and your royal friends" the short man answered as he smirked at him.

"What would he do to us?" Saffron asked surprised.

"He wishes to destroy the monarchs for his own personal reasons" Lancelot answered seriously.

Saffron and Proimnseas looked at Percival with worry and concern. Percival began to plan something. He needed to bring his friends to him and discuss this.

"Proimnseas. Send word to Sol and Colin about a meeting" Precival ordered as walked back to his chambers.

He was a bit worried about a possible uprising. Proimnseas departed from the castle and went to find the servants of Sol and Colin. The two young princes were already in town due to an upcoming party, so Proimnseas didn't think it would be hard to find their servants.

"Hey! I want to buy something!" Colin shouted at the stand and slammed his hand on the stand.

Jac awoke with a groan. He peeked out of his stand and saw Colin. Jac woke up and went to his shop.

"What do you want to buy?" Jac asked annoyed.

"What do you have?" Colin asked excitedly.

Jac raised an eyebrow at this odd boy. He was kind of well known for selling a little bit of everything to everyone. He walked back to his supply cabinet and found a bag of apples.

"Here. What do you think of this?" Jac asked as he placed the bag of the apples on the desk.

Colin opened the bag and gasped in delight. He took one apple in his hand and examined it.

"This one of the freshest apples I have evert seen! Did you get these from France?" Colin asked interested.

Jac was surprised Colin knew these apples, "Yeah. I am from France"

Colin's eyes were wide as he took out his coin pouch. He took out ten gold coins as he took the bag of apples!

"Wait, you're just giving me this?" Jac asked amazed.

"Yep! You helped me out a lot!" Colin answered as he ate one apple.

Jac never meet a person like him before.

"Hey! Let's hang out! I know some great places to see!" Colin offered.

"Sure" Jac said.

The odd friends departed from the stores and walked around the town. Proimnseas had just left from the twin's villa and went to Sol's villa. She decided to enter through the maid's quarters and find a servant. She caught a whiff of salt water and knew a few certain traders were here. She ran towards the kitchen and saw Nelma talking to Abel.

"Proimnseas!" Abel exclaimed happily as he ran towards her.

He gave her a warm hug and smile.

"It is nice to see you too, Young Prince Abel. I have a message for your brother" Proimnseas stated.

Abel and Nelma were surprised by her message. Abel began to wonder if their guest was telling the truth about something. Once she delivered her message, she went to find Prince's Colin's castle. She ran to his castle's garden area in hopes of finding the head maid. She found Maria sitting on a bench and reading a book.

"Maria!" Proimnseas greeted in delight.

Maria nearly dropped her book and smiled at Proimnseas, "Yes Proimnseas?"

"I have a message! We will also be able to hang out together as well" Proimnseas reported happily as she tried to hide her blush.

"Really? What is the message?" Maria asked politely.

Proimnseas prevented herself from stuttering as she answered "Well, Prince Percival wishes to meet with Prince Sol about a supposed threat"

Maria's expression was serious and concerned. She placed her book on the bench and went to find Colin.

"Proimnseas, when is the meeting?" Maria asked.

"Tomorrow" Proimnseas answered as she bowed.

"I will make sure he attends" Maria said as she ran to the castle.

Proimnseas sighed, but she did expect this from Maria. Proimnseas returned to her prince.

"So, why are we climbing on the roof?" Jac asked suspiciously.

"I am going to show you something amazing!" Colin stated as he continued to walk across the roof.

The two friends were currently climbing over some stone roofs and heading towards a destination. Jac followed Colin. Jac was surprised at how quick Colin was on his feet.

"We are almost there! Just a little more way to go!" Colin stated as he jumped over a gap to another roof.

Jac stopped for a moment and realized that Colin had to jump across a gap to get to another roof.

"Ok, no I am not doing this" Jac stated as he stood still.

"What? Why?!" Colin asked surprised.

"I can't make that jump!" Jac retorted as he motioned to the gap between the two buildings.

"Uh, yeah you can" Colin stated a matter of fact tone and a nod.

Jac thought Colin was crazy. Jac was sure that he couldn't make this kind of jump.

"You just need a longer running start. Don't worry, I'll catch you" Colin reassured as he placed the bag of apples to the side and waited near the edge of the building.

Jac couldn't believe what he was hearing. How could Colin think like this?

"So, are you ready?" Colin asked.

"Alright. Just give me a minute" Jac said defeatedly.

Colin cheered as Jac took a few steps back. He calmed down his breathing and then faced the roof. He then ran towards the edge as fast as he could and jumped! He reached for the roof. He nearly missed it, but Colin grabs his arms! Colin pulls Jac up onto the roof. Jac sat down and tried to catch his breath.

"See? You made it!" Colin exclaimed.

Jac just glared at Colin. Colin took a few steps away from Jac and walked towards the other side of the roof. Colin sat down with the bag of apples on his lap and gazed into the sunset. Jac wandered over to his new friend and gasped. They were looking at the coliseum and sunset. Jac found this to be a spectacular sight.

"My father used to watch the sunset with me. I never watched it with anyone else. I thought you would like to see it" Colin said as he ate another apple.

Jac was speechless. He never met a person like Colin. As he sat down and gazed at the sun with Colin, Jac couldn't help but feel envious about Colin. Colin was able to live in amazing place and somehow make a living here. Jac would want his family to live in a place like this. He then remembered his two guests staying at his place.

"Colin. Thank you for this wonderful evening, but I have to go and help my friends" Jac said as he stood up.

Colin was a bit sad by this, but he let his friend head back home. Jac ran back to his house and found his friends eating some bread together.

"Jac! Where did you go?" Jeannette asked as she ate another piece of bread.

"Out. I got us some money" he said as he dropped a sac of gold onto the small table.

Joren was surprised, "How did you get this money?!"

"Someone really likes apples" Jac said as he sat with them.

Jeannette and Joren were praising Jac for his wealthy gain. The trio of traders went to buy some quality food for the night. Colin had decided to head back to his castle and rest. He was pleased to have fun with his new friend. When he entered the castle, Sal ran up to him and barked in delight.

"Prince Colin!" shouted Loyal as he ran towards him.

"Loyal, what's wrong? I was just gazing at the sky" Colin reassured him.

"Prince. There is something important you need to know" Loyal stated seriously.

Colin was nervous about the news. Loyal was never this serious before. Abel and Nelma had asked for Sol and Stevvy and reported about the meeting. Sol was about to lose his temper, but Stevvy remained calm.

"Something doesn't make sense about this" Stevvy said to Sol.

"Why would he start an uprising? Because he's a simple servant!" Sol retorted as he swung a sword downward.

Stevvy was writing something down at a desk. Abel and the Explorers were resting for the night. Bryson was also in his room too.

"Just because he is a servant doesn't mean he would cause an uprising. He told us he wanted to protect us as well. Someone is lying" Stevvy concluded as he finished his writing.

"Why? We don't know them personal! That doesn't make sense!" Sol swung his sword down.

"Exactly. We don't know them, but I wonder if they know us" Stevvy replied as he looked at his friend.

Sol stopped swinging his sword and looked at him. Stevvy had a point.

"When do we meet with them?" Sol asked as he put his sword away.

"Tomorrow" Stevvy said as he finished his writings and departed for his chambers.

The next day, Sol, Stevvy, and Colin each made their way to Percival's castle. Proimnseas meet the three of them at the entrance of the castle. She had them follow her to the dining hall of the castle to meet up with Percival. Proimnseas left the three lords in the dinning hall. Colin took a seat while Stevvy and Sol stood by him. Once the doors opened again, Percival entered.

"I know we were supposed to meet in two days, but I needed to meet with you three now" he said seriously as he approached them.

"What is going on, Percival?" Colin asked worriedly.

"I believe someone is trying to turn us against each other and destroy everything we have worked for" Percival stated seriously as Colin and Sol gasped in shock.
