Frost
I've actually had this idea for a while but I had a realization for what medium I could do this in so screw it all I dropped everything and started making ref sheets XD
This is based on a video, a Minecraft machinima, that I made in the January-March timeframe
(Yeah it took a while because I had technical difficulties)
So in that time, I accidentally came up with a story for these characters and ever since I have kinda wanted to do an RP??? Problem is is that I don't have the people I need to pull it off (Like no VAs. That's the big one)
But I came home from school today and had the thought, "what if I did Frost as a comic?"
Annnnnddd CUE IMMEDIATE GRABBING OF PAPER FOR REF SHEETS FOR A COMIC.
This is just the plot. I think I might have written something about this before, but I can't find it so screw it all this is gonna the thing for it.
Legend has it that before anyone here was born, a curse was brought on this land.
Snow and ice swept across the fields in a matter of hours, leaving nothing but cold and death in its wake. Generations have grown and passed only knowing the cruel, clear ice or the unforgiving white blanket that covered the land.
Some places and people managed to remain warm in this time, while others grew cold and heartless.
My father never knew where he came from. He only remembered nothing, then existing, as he explained it. No one else believed him. I don't either. But in this small, cold village, he was the only person who could laugh at an insult or bring a spark to a dim heart. He died when I was young. Sometimes I can feel that warmth I remember too, but I ignore it. Tenderness doesn't get you anywhere in the snow.
A once in a lifetime chance has been presented. A chance to remove the ancient curse and melt the tundra. Four individuals prophecized to take this chance are finally being brought together.
Daniel, a coldhearted man with unique characteristics. (The main character or at least POV)
Rothenschul, a serious but determined and passionate man whose one goal is to remove the ice.
Catherine, a princess with more fire than a princess should have.
Ariel, a young girl whose gift is often looked upon as a part of the curse.
As the four journey onwards, they find that the descendants of the original cursers of the land are less than willing to let them remove their ancestor's hard work.
"But O heart! heart! heart!
O the bleeding drops of red,
Where on the deck my Captain lies,
Fallen cold and dead."
Yeah BTW this comic doesn't have the happiest of endings. I plan on killing two of the main characters and I'm excited >:3
Also the little excerpt is from "Oh Captain, My Captain!" by Walt Whitman and is the basis and inspiration for this story when I read about the poem last year.
