Cross Ange

Synopsis:

In alternate but not too distant future of Earth, Advanced Technology & Warfare became the dominating force of both the people and the military. Thanks to these new technological advancement, they managed to reach the Moon & Mars and build their futuristic civilizations.

Chief among them were 2 nations: the United States of America and Greater Kingdom of Germany who were the ones created the advanced technology that change the course of history. It was these 2 nations founded the United Federation of Nations(UFN) after the Second Great War(Alternate WW2), a multinational militaristic and peacekeeping alliance organization that kept the world in check for security & peace.

Their peace will be interrupted when a portal opens in Berlin(capital of Germany) during a state visit of US President as dragon-human hybrid beings known as D.R.A.G.O.N.S appears and ask their help to free Aura, a mystic powerful Dragon who kidnapped and used by the mysterious Embryo to create an utopian planet called "Mana".

After long explain about their world including special women without a Mana called "Norma" who were discriminate by the People of Mana and were used as "biological weapons" against them, America and Germany decide to venture the world and free the people and Norma of Mana from corrupted governments & racist anti-Norma people and show Embryo what the true freedom, equality and warfare is.

My Thoughts:

This idea was inspired from a Cross Ange fanfic called "Cross Ange: Axis Liberation" where Axis Powers won WW2 via stalemate but less dictatorial and more democratic government.

But in this version, the United States of America and Germany was the power players of the story with the UFN as the supporting role. But the difference was both nations and their history was altered due of one positive choice.

The US still follow the ideals of George Washington and the Founding Fathers and became more united than the current one. Yet, they still had the Manifest Destiny but with no Indian Wars(because of Andrew Jackson was never elected as President), Mexico(along Cuba and Puerto Rico later in the late 19th Century) were annexed & became a states and slavery was declared illegal(meaning there's no Civil War but segregation still exist until the 60s but less racism).

As for Germany, their history was the same but after the Great War, the US made a separate peace treaty after they were NOT happy about the Treaty of Versailles and the Kaiser wasn't abdicated.

The Second Great War happened(an alternate WW2) but this time, it was the Soviet Union are the BAD guys as they invaded Poland and other European states including France for Communist Revolution, forcing the US and Germany team up to stop the Red menace. The war ended with US, Germany along with Britain and allies arrived in Moscow and planted the American & German flags over Kremlin. Josef Stalin and his loyalists were executed by the renegade Soviet faction led by Nikita Khrushchev as the latter sign an unconditional surrender.

After the war through the present(the Cold War still happen but ended early due of some political & economic reasons), Advanced technology became breakthrough around the world for both science and natural way but it was the US and Germany became the world leading powers as the two nations send 4 men(2 Americans & 2 Germans) on the Moon. Advanced warfare was implement as new and powerful arsenals was created as well as the giant, humanoid-like robot mechs known as "Mobile Suits"(aka Gundam).

Since Cross Ange was created by the same guys created Gundam, imagine the Ragna Mails meet Earth's versions of their own mechs but better & more powerful. 😏
