The readers father was a scientist, a criminal one at that, who had no moral stand on who he used in his experiments, not even his own son. He had found the remains of Vehicons and repaired a body, refueled it with energon, and was ready to transfer the mind of his own son into the alien body. He succeeds, but his son throws him aside, freaking out over what has happened to him, and ran, ran out into the desert, unknowingly towards the Autobot base, failing to understand how to control most of his body. The only thing that gave him any chance, was the fact that the Decepticon symbol on his chest was worn down to nothing.
