The reader is Killed by a Mugger, but instead of passing on, he is given the chance to do good, his soul changes into a device called an Eyecon, and he is given a device called a GhostDriver. He lives in Tengu City. He'll have an Alternate way of Sealing away Spirits powers, by absorbing the power into the ghost driver and creating Eyecons containing the powers of the spirits, he first does this with Yoshino, forming a form of Father-Daughter Bond.
