The Reader is just your average pokemon trainer, well not really, he doesnt leave home to challenge the league, he lives with his little sister, while their dad lives off writing manga. They live in Sainan Town, located in the Kanto Region(Gary had to get those extra gym badges somewhere, right?). The thing about Sainan town is, that it houses a diverse population of pokemon from different regions, but its rarely visited from trainers in the Kanto region despite it having a Gym(Ice Type).
