sleeper agents trained to be in place in case fo war or catastrophe, given a single mission they must carry out at any and all costs.  Leaving their families even though they don't want to, or possibly trying to take them.

Small town atmosphere, somewhere remote, and something happens, an agent gets the call and steps up.
