Senior Dexters Meeting Aloje Dexters (Outdated)
(There'll be some small sections of cursing, but it is unavoidable.)
(Any questions, don't be afraid to ask while you read.)
Red stretched as he went over to the other Dexters. They were meeting up to discuss something about new Dexters. Yellow was asleep against Green as she hummed.
"Red, can you take Yellow off me? I need to stand up and I don't want to disturb her." Red nodded as he picked the blonde up. Green stretched as she stood up. "Thank you." Blue sighed.
"So what are we doing?" Gold hummed.
"I think the smartest plan is sending you seniors in to see what we're up against. Right?" Crystal paused.
"Now you think of a good plan? Where was that thinking when we had to stop Mr. Fedorov?" Gold gulped.
"My... uh... grandmother took it." The group busted out laughing as he smiled nervously. Silver sighed.
"But... Gold is right. Wouldn't sending you guys in be the best idea?" Red nodded as he placed Yellow on the couch nearby.
"Yeah. But I don't think Yellow's coming this time. So the three of us will go down to the region and we'll talk to them. Ok?" The others nodded as the meeting was dismissed.
~~~
Blue hummed as he looked down at the large region from his Charizard. Red's Aerodactyl and Green's Jigglypuff stayed beside him as the region came into view for the trio. Green huffed.
"Large region... if it's anything like Sharea, then I'm expecting a large Dexter group." Red nodded as he scanned the region.
"Or a powerful small one."
"True." She hummed as she pulled out a paper. "From what Blake found for us, this region is split into three Sectors: Fiore, Almia and Oblivia. So knowing that... I wonder how the group is set up." Red nodded as Blue huffed.
"Let's go find out."
~~~
They landed at some docks as a girl raced past them. Three voices called out to her as she dove into the ocean.
"Admiral- Darn it!"
"Ain't no one getting in the way of her and the sea, huh?" The trio running over slowed to a stop as they huffed. The redhead grabbed his breath as he looked up.
"Damn it-" He grabbed his mouth as the green haired female and brown haired male beside him smacked him. "Why!?"
"You're the one with the problem!" The redhead cursed into his hand as he turned around.
"We have to take a boat to catch up with her. That's assuming she hasn't-" His words were silenced as another voice joined them.
"A little help here?" They groaned as they went over.
"Quest cleared already?"
"It was just getting the Sharpedo to give up a box of supplies."
"The same Sharpedo that tore your arm apart."
"I lived! Be realistic and help me out!"
The three seniors glanced at each other before going over. The trio helped the original girl up out of the water as she grinned.
"Being truthful, the Sharpedo wouldn't look me in the eye. I think it knows who's boss." The redhead frowned.
"Admiral, Crepe's going to kill you. And if not him, Seafoam will ground you." The girl, Admiral, shrugged.
"Dijon, you can't say anything." The redhead, Dijon, hissed.
"Listen up, little bi-" He grabbed his mouth before he could continue. He paused as he retried. "Listen up, Admiral. You have been hurt more times than Crepe has pulled all-nighters. Silence yourself before I tell them what recklessness just happened." Admiral raised an eyebrow.
"Did you almost curse?"
"No."
"There's a curse police in the area."
"I... can't confirm that."
"Dijon, the fact that you almost cursed confirms the facts. Shut up." He fell silent as her eyes drifted around the area and landed on the three seniors. Her blue eyes lit up as she saw them. "Ooh! Visitors!" The other three groaned as she went over.
"Dijon, it's your turn to watch her. We have a mission in Boyleland. Don't die of the police, alright?" Dijon nodded as he followed Admiral. The one of the other two whistled and a Staraptor flew down to them. They took off as Admiral smiled.
"Hi! My name is Admiral and this is Dijon! Welcome to the Almia Sector of the Aloje region!" Green smiled as the two boys paused.
"My name is Green! This is Red and Blue. We're from the Kanto region. Nice to meet you!" The two girls shook hands as Dijon grumbled something under his breath. However, all could hear it well.
"Bunch of shitheads-"
He yelped as Admiral swiftly kicked him and tore his feet from under him. He landed on his butt as Admiral hummed.
"Watch it."
"Thanks... ow..." He got back up and rubbed his side. He pulled himself together and smiled. "Is there a reason you're here?" Red hummed as Blue spoke.
"You wouldn't happen to know where we can find the Dexters here, would you?" The duo glanced at each other at his question.
"Well... you're looking at two of them of this Sector. The other two are sulking and working elsewhere. Why are you looking?" Red chuckled at their confusion.
"We're three of the Dexters from Kanto. Nice to know where we can find you guys."
Their reaction got a laugh out of the seniors. Admiral stuttered as Dijon gulped.
"I-i-i-i... what?" Green smiled.
"Can you guys get the other two or get us somewhere we can talk to them?" Dijon pulled himself together as Admiral paused.
"Yeah.... follow me." He started walking away as he tapped something on the device on his arm. Admiral opened her mouth to say something before closing it and running after him. The trio glanced at each other before following.
~~~
The duo took them to a large building. A small group was waiting outside. The blonde within noticed them and went over. The brunette nodded to them as he worked on fixing up the other two people's wounds that didn't look too bad. The blonde smiled.
"So these are the Dexters that came?" Admiral nodded.
"Yep! This is Green Red and Blue from the Kanto region!" She turned to them with a smile. "Guys, this is Seafoam." She shook their hand with a smile.
"Crepe's over there working on getting those two rangers back up." They glanced over as he started cleaning his stuff up and helped the duo to their feet. They thanked him and ran off. He shouted something, getting a complaint back. The group giggled as he shot a glare at them. He went over with a frown.
"What's so funny?"
"Nothing." He scanned Admiral with a frown.
"You didn't get hurt did you?"
"Crepe! I'm alright! Nothing bad happened!" He hummed as Dijon leaned near his ear.
"I would check later just in case."
"Dijon, your whispering sucks."
"Thanks for the useless info, Admiral."
"It's not useless info."
"Listen up, you little bi-" Crepe grabbed the taller male's mouth before his words could continue. The two girls giggled as a muffled 'thanks' escaped him.
"Better." He gave a faint smile to the seniors. "Sorry about that. I'm Crepe." They shook hands as Green hummed.
"So... Admiral... you said you guys were for this Sector. Does that mean there's more of you?" Admiral nodded.
"We probably have the biggest group in the Dexters. There's the four of us here, three in Fiore and three down in Oblivia. All a bunch of morons." Dijon opened his mouth to counter when Crepe glared at him. Dijon closed his mouth and sighed. Crepe then turned to the seniors.
"Are you guys the seniors of the whole group?" Blue nodded.
"Yep. We all are the oldest. We all have something that labels that." Green smiled.
"We're down one senior, but it's not like the senior of the Triad Wars ever makes it on time." Red raised an eyebrow.
"Except the phone. No one has made her late for that." Green waved it off.
"That too... but either way, she's never on time in person."
"Yet... she holds the oldest Dex." Red countered. Green huffed.
"Hush you." He smiled as she turned to them. "I'm sure you know about the four groups, right?" The younger four nodded. "Well... I'm the senior of the Waves, Blue is the senior of the Flames and Red is the senior of the Blades. Or Triad War senior isn't here, but she'll make sure to be here if we return. Which groups would you guys be in?" Admiral hummed as Seafoam smiled.
"I'm Blade, Dijon's Flame, Admiral's Wave and Crepe's Triad War." Crepe smiled as the other two sighed at her fast answer. Green smiled as Admiral hummed.
"You guys are looking for all of the Dexter of Aloje, Right?" The trio seniors nodded. "Then Fiore would be a better choice to tackle next. They all are in one base unless chaos has struck." Seafoam brought out a paper and wrote something on it.
"Here's the coordinates to their base. That should help you in your search. We'll reach out to the Oblivia crew and let them know you'll be heading down there afterwards. That way you're not chasing them around the Sector." Green smiled as Red grabbed the paper.
"Thank you guys so much. We'll talk to you guys later. Bye!" The quad waved as they sent out their air pokemon and took off.
~~~
A green haired male looked up at them as they landed. He was shaking as he eyed Blue's ride. Nonetheless, a welcoming smile crossed his face as they went over.
"Hello! Welcome the the Ringtown Ranger Base. How may I help you?" Green noticed the shaking as she returned Jugglypuff.
"We're looking for the Dexters here. You wouldn't happen to know where they are, would you?" He paused.
"I'm one. My name is Sage, the Blade here." Red smiled as he shook the junior Blade's hand. "The other two just went out. I can lead you to them if it helps."
"That would be great." Red smiled. "My name is Red, Senior of the Blades and Dexter of Kanto. This is Blue and Green, my fellow seniors." Sage smiled as he shook their hands. "Are you good?"
"Yeah why?" Red hummed.
"You've been shaking since we landed. You sure?" He returned his Aerodactyl as Sage gulped.
"It's just..." His eyes dodged Blue's Charizard as he ran a hand through his hair. "I don't have many good experiences with... uh... Charizard..." Blue blinked as he returned the fire dragon.
"I didn't scare you, did I?" Sage shook his head.
"No... I just got some... unneeded flashbacks and bad vibes. You're good." He smiled. "Let's go see if we can catch up with the other two."
~~~
It didn't take them long to find them. Actually, according to Sage, they heard them before they saw them.
"Lapis!"
"Go go go!"
"Get back here!"
"Darn Go Siblings!"
"I got one!"
Sage groaned as they ran over. There was a group of 8 people up on top of a building glaring down at a group of four. A blonde held a smaller boy with unique looking hair and a small object out of his reach. The teal haired girl smiled breathlessly as she and the orange haired male looked up at the 8.
"Game over, Go Siblings! Drop the act and surrender!" The girl with a violin hummed.
"How about... no? Camerupt!"
With three swift notes, the Eruption Pokemon tried to attack them from behind. The free handed duo pulled out something from their belts.
"CAPTURE ON!"
A light circled it and calmed it down. The smaller boy finally surrendered and ran away with the small device. The blonde smiled.
"1 of 9 down!" She turned to the group as they hissed. "Who's next!" The teal haired girl noticed the Dexters and hummed.
"Hold the line for me!" The other two nodded as she ran over. Sage hummed.
"Are you two done?"
"I wish. But we still have 8 more to get them back to their territory. Why haven't we just thrown a barrier down around their area? Oh wait! Their bloody musician! Ugh..." She looked up at the group as they taunted the duo. "I could kill them if I wasn't being mean to Lapis." She stretched as she glanced at them. "Who're these guys?" Sage sighed.
"These are our seniors from Kanto; Red, Blue and Green." He turned to the trio. "Guys, this is Scarlet, our Flame." She nodded to them as a violin sound filled the air. She groaned.
"I'm done with her and her Camerupt... I'll be back with Lapis hopefully in one piece." She raced over as the blonde calmed the Camerupt. Sage groaned.
"I wonder when they'll learn..." He looked up as Scarlet jumped up to the group's roof. They scattered as fire circled her hand.
"STARGAZER'S SNAKE FLAME!"
The flames raced forward and circled the violinist. She yelped as Scarlet landed and stole the violin. The orange haired male smiled as he lifted his hand.
"STARGAZER'S BUBBLE TRAP!"
A series of bubbles drifted into the air grasped four of the group members; two boys with guitars and two girls with wind like instruments. He then jumped up and grabbed their instruments as the blonde turned to two others.
"STARGAZER'S ANGEL CHOIR!"
The light flashed and the two grabbed their ears. She stole their instruments, a drum and a baton like stick. The trio turned to the last guy as he froze. He wore a similar uniform as Scarlet and held something like a lyre in his hand. His dark blue hair swayed slightly as he gulped.
"We... uh... can talk about this..."
"I'm sure we can. Surrender would be your best option." He laughed nervously before he jumped onto a building.
"I think not!" He made a strumming like gesture on the item and a soft harmony filled the air. Almost instantly the trio grabbed their ears as a soft mist circled them. Sage huffed.
"This is almost funny..." Scarlet placed down the violin and jumped up to his level. He yelped as she tripped him and grabbed the item in his hand.
"Give it back!"
"Only if you surrender! That goes for all of you!"
The other 7 were already nodding in agreement. The trio snapped, releasing their respective traps. The group went to the duo and grabbed their respective instruments while the violinist grabbed hers from the ground. Lapis sighed in defeat.
"Fine... just give it back!" She chuckled before holding it out to him. He took it and hugged it close.
"Big baby..."
"Bully..."
He scoffed before jumping down she smiled as she looked at her teammates.
"Thanks Aira. Percy. You going to the concert later or was it put for tomorrow?" Lapis growled.
"Tomorrow. We have a lot of work to do." Scarlet rolled her eyes. The blonde smiled.
"We'll be there. I've got patrol to do. See you later, Scarlet."
"Bye Aria!" Aira smiled as she walked away. The orange haired male, no doubt Percy, huffed.
"So when do you thing peace will hit?"
"At least it's only these guys. Remember when it was a 5 sided war?"
"Don't get me started. See you later, Scarlet." She waved as he left. She jumped down and ran over to the others. She passed the slow moving Lapis and smiled.
"Sorry about that. But duties before greetings." Lapis huffed quietly as he checked the item in his hand.
"Says you. I think you should've let us do what we had planned."
"Move it to the jungle or something. I think if you did it up north of Wintown you could get it done and not have us stopping you every ten seconds. Get out of the towns." He scoffed as he frowned.
"I think you damaged it again."
"Are you going to cry about it?"
"No I'm going to annoy the hell out of you about it." She looked at the sky as she groaned.
"Oh Arceus save me." She grabbed his shoulders and sighed. "Lapis, you are an experienced and great person. You'll live." He huffed as he pulled a small kit and opened it. He pulled out of her grip and turned his attention to the item in his hands. Sage made a soft noise, grabbing their attention.
"Are you two done?" She frowned.
"For the most part." Lapis huffed. "Lapis, be lucky that wasn't a 9 on 7."
"Whatever." He noticed the trio and straightened up. "Oh... I didn't see you guys there..." Green smiled.
"It's ok. My name's Green. This is Red and Blue. We're Dexters from the Kanto region and your seniors. You're Lapis, right?" He nodded as he shifted his position.
"Yes Ma'am. Wave of the Fiore Sector." She nodded as he turned back to what he was doing. Sage sighed.
"Sorry if this was as welcoming as it should've been. Almia is a little more welcoming than the other sectors are. We're the most broken, Oblivia is more distant, Almia... is a little more of a welcoming face than anything despite being the busiest." Red hummed.
"It's ok. Everyone has their strengths and weaknesses." Lapis huffed as he put the kit away.
"Yeah... Like destruction and sadistic natures." Scarlet frowned.
"Lapis, that's your father."
"My father was insane. There's a difference."
"Lapis... when was the last time you touched your needs?" The bluenette looked away as he studied the item. "Lapis..."
"What?"
"Start walking to Ringtown. Now."
"But-"
"Now."
Lapis huffed in defeat as he started towards the path home. Scarlet sighed as they slowly followed him. She lead the way while Sage turned to him.
"So you're going down to Oblivia next?"
"Yep. You mentioned that they were distant."
"It's an island Sector. There's almost no easy way around there. And the group down there almost always is on the move. Be careful." They nodded as they returned to the small town. Lapis paused outside the base as Scarlet sighed.
"I'll get him inside, you get the kit?" Sage nodded as she ran forward. He then smiled at them.
"Safe travels. The storms might try to pull you back, but if done right they're nothing." Green hummed.
"You sound like you've done it." He huffed.
"Hardly. I once joined a ranger, one of the Dexters down there, in a journey through the storms. All he told me and the other rangers that were there was stay close to him and to do our best at following his exact movements. He was very successful at leading us through." He sighed. "Good luck." They nodded as Blue pulled out his Charizard's pokeball.
"I guess the safest way down is one ride. And mine is the better one. C'mon. We'll see you later." Sage nodded before disappearing inside. Blue sent the fire type as Scarlet went out. She waved to them as they took off.
~~~
Sage wasn't wrong when they said the storms would stop them. They were lucky that someone noticed their struggle and helped.
"You guys need some help?" They turned to see a small boy upon a Staraptor fly over. His brown hair swayed gently as the storm roared. His eyes were slightly masked by a pair of goggles. Blue nodded.
"Yeah! That would be great!" The boy nodded as he shifted in front of them.
"Just stay near me!"
He raced forward into the storm. Blue wasn't too far behind him. The other two held on as the two brown haired males flew with no problem through the storm. Light hit as they got to the other side of the storm. The boy smiled.
"Make it in one piece? Everyone accounted for?" They nodded as he shifted next to them.
"Yes thanks!" He nodded as the islands came into view. Red hummed as he turned to the boy.
"Why did you help us?" The boy smiled as his eyes flashed through the goggles. The group paused at how familiar it seemed.
"Because I got the message that basically said you guys were going to go through the storm to get to the Oblivia Sector. And as the leader of the Oblivia Sector Rangers and the Wave of the Sector's Dexters, I decided to help you guys get through my specialty. Welcome to the Oblivia Sector, Seniors!"
Blue blinked as Green gulped.
"Wait... you're one of the Dexters here?"
"Shocking? But yes. My name Midnight. Nice to meet you!" Green pushed her hair out of her face as Red called out.
"My name's Red, senior of the Blades. This is Green, the senior Wave and Blue, the senior Flame. How is it someone your age got your position?" Midnight smiled big.
"I above average kid. I was able to do a lot before 5 unlike most kids my age. It didn't take long to get where I am now after." He looked forward at the sector and smiled. A small noise escaped the device on his arm as a voice pierced the air.
"Voicemail, Voicemail, Midnight?" Midnight grinned as he touched a button.
"Yeah Cedar?"
"Are you on your way back?"
"Yeah. I have seniors with me. You still on ship?"
"All but Sucrose. You may want to pick up some speed. She's asking for assistance in the air over here. Let's just say Purple Eyes gained some bird friends." Midnight chuckled.
"On way. Tell Sucrose help is on way."
"Copy that captain." He smiled as he glanced at them.
"Try to stay with me. We'll head over to The Union and I'll let you land while I help teammate. C'mon!" He flew up slightly and dove down. Green groaned Blue smiled.
"Alright... Bring it on."
The other two held on as he raced after the smaller boy. He caught up with no problem as a small boat came into view. A small group stood on board as they slowed down. Blue landed as Midnight raced up to a Pidgeot that was in the air. The girl on top smiled at him as they pushed the attack back. As soon as Midnight had joined, they almost instantly cleaned it up with no problem. Once they were done, Midnight flew down and landed.
"Thanks Staraptor! See you later!" The bird nodded as it took off. He turned to the girl that was still in the air. Her lime green hair swayed in the air as she smiled down at them. "Get down from your high perch!"
"Erm... no!" They giggled as he puffed his cheeks. "Aw.... ok..." She jumped down and pulled a wing like device from her back. She glided down and gently landed on the deck. The device vanished behind her as she smiled. Midnight huffed.
"Stop overachieving..."
"Um... no!" He groaned as the others giggled. He then turned to the seniors with a smiled.
"Sorry about that!" He glanced at his teammates. "Guys, these the people Seafoam messaged about. Red, Blue and Green." He turned back to the seniors. "These my teammates. Sucrose, Chris, Rand and X-7 all close allies and aids to us Dexters. Parchment here is Blade while Cedar is Flame." They all shook hands before silence emerged. Green turned to Midnight.
"How does a group like you guys manage something as big as this?" Midnight smiled.
"Trust and backing each other. Takes lot of time, but we get there." Cedar smiled.
"Communication is another as well. Since we are always out of yelling range, being online and always having our devices on is key." Parchment chuckled.
"Or you shoot Midnight out of the sky because he's stubborn. That also works." Midnight's eyes looked at her with pure shock in her eyes.
"Um... what?"
"Nothing!" She and Cedar shared a sly smile at the smaller boy. He gulped nervously as he looked away.
"Alright..." Green smiled. She didn't think the juniors would have a little mischief. She was proven wrong.
"You guys seem a lot more sorted than the other Sector." Midnight rubbed his head sheepishly as Rand chuckled.
"That's because Midnight's head is in another dimension and we have to be ready for the crack." Midnight frowned.
"That's not-" The others held back chuckled as he paused. "Wait a minute-" Cedar let out a soft giggle. "Hey!" They busted out laughing. "You shouldn't listen to her!"
"But she's your mother, Midnight, and our boss. It was kinda needed." He sighed as he looked away.
"Jeez..." Cedar huffed as he turned to the seniors.
"Are there other Dexters? Like ones that are older than us?" Green nodded.
"All over the world there are Dexters. Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Alola, Galar, Torren, Holon, Dreamal, Vesryn, Aroma, and Sharea. All working and doing jobs similar to what you guys do now." Parchment paused.
"How did you find out about us?" The other two glanced at Red, who flinched.
"A very proud and unique Dexter in the Blades volunteered to come into this region and gather info about the Dexters here. He watched you guys while you did your work and gathered data for us." Parchment frowned.
"And who's that...?" The other two seniors chuckled as Red looked at the sky.
"The Torren Blade, Purple. Why?" Parchment bit her lip as Cedar turned away from them.
"I told you we should've pushed."
"No!" The others busted out laughing at Midnight's reaction. Cedar frowned.
"You don't realize how annoying it was! Three different sectors, same feeling of being watched!"
"Then you should've picked sector and stayed in."
"Midnight!" The group giggled. Parchment sighed before turning to the seniors.
"We were just curious because Cedar and I have clashed with him several times. Sadly for Cedar, he was almost followed."
"Stalked."
"Followed. Stalking would be he was following you specifically, yet he was also watching 3-4 others as well."
"...Stalked." Parchment frowned at him as the others giggled. Midnight sighed as he turned to them.
"We been really busy... sorry 'bout that.." Green smiled.
"You're good. At least you guys work well together. We've seen groups that can't."
Midnight smiled before a scream filled the air. Instantly a Pidgey flew down and grabbed Sucrose, flying her up to her Pidgeot. Midnight hit something on the device on his arm and a Staraptor flew down. The other 4 rangers ran to the side and sent a light to one of the islands. Four Staraptor flew over as the seniors went beside Cedar. The group took off and headed straight to the source of the scream. Cedar sighed.
"Oblivia at it's finest..." He turned to them. "What are you guys going to be doing now?" Green hummed.
"Most likely going back with the information. We might send a group to come down and get a proper greeting for you guys and start getting you guys into meetings." Cedar nodded as Red pulled out his Aerodactyl.
"Then let's go. tell the others we said bye, ok?" Cedar nodded as they took off. Cedar hummed as he looked into the horizon as they vanished.
"Yeah... but are you ready for the truth?"
~~~
Red went over to the other Blades as they looked over his notes about the juniors.
"These are some interesting notes... we're gaining some unique juniors..." Crystal murmured as she looked up at him.
"Yeah... but what's interesting is what I heard from one of the Flames down there."
"What?"
"'Yeah... but are you ready for the truth?' I overheard it when we took off. I don't think he knows I heard him. But we're against something else."
~~~
Crepe gulped as he looked at a screen. It shifted scenes of the Dexters' meetings. He turned to the others as they discussed future battles, missions and tasks.
"Guys..." They turned to him. "They're talking about us. They might try again." Sage gulped.
"We can't hold the line a second time." He turned to Lapis. "Your group is planning a mountain attack?"
"Yes." Lapis said softly. Cedar gulped.
"We down south will be on lock down. They can't through the storm with all that'll be happening." Seafoam gulped as she turned to Admiral.
"You, me, Sage and Dijon." Admiral gulped as she looked at the table. A huge map with several pieces upon it laid across it. She pursed her lips.
"Yeah..."
~~~
Silver pushed his hair out of his face as they arrived at the Pueltown Harbor. Admiral was showing some kids her skills.
"Alright.... Eevee! Power up!" An Eevee appeared at her feet and her styler flashed. "Poke-assist! Normal!" She sent it at a Spearow. The light circled it before it came over. The kids applauded her before going off. She smiled. "Thanks Spearow." It nodded before flying off. She hummed. "Eevee... do you think we should've done a different type?" It shrugged as it sat down. She smiled at it. "I'll be sure you get something special at dinner." It perked up and smiled. "See you in a little bit, Eevee." It ran off as she hummed. Her eyes met Silver's as she paused. She went over with a smile. "Hello! My name's Admiral. Welcome to the Almia Sector!" They smiled at her energy.
"Gold. This is Crystal and Silver. We're Dexters from the Johto region. We were sent to ask some questions." She hummed.
"Follow me. I'll take you to somewhere we can talk with a little bit of privacy and I'll gather the other sector Dexters."
~~~
Dijon yawned as him and Seafoam met Admiral and the Johtotrio in the break room. Admiral's energy kept them busy until Dijon frowned.
"Admiral, Crepe'll kill you if he sees you trying anything." She hummed.
"That's if he does. He's booked today."
"Uh huh... ok Admiral." Seafoam smiled at their seniors.
"What did you need to ask us?" They sat down as Crystal hummed.
"Just some stability questions." The group shared a similar expression that was hard to read.
"Alright..."
~~~
Lapis gulped at the sight of the helicopter that had joined the battlefield at the mountain. Him and his family had shielded their identities from this and were surprisingly pushing Scarlet and her group back. From the message Seafoam sent, they had to be quick or pause until the seniors were safely at Ringtown. He spotted the trio and pulled his group into hiding. Scarlet noticed and they hid as well. The two rangers waited until Sage sent the message.
"I have them in my area."
That reassured them as they clashed once more.
~~~
Sage smiled at the trio as they landed. Silver was pushing his hair out of the way as they went over. Crystal's eyes caught sight of several bandages that were spread across the junior's body and went over.
"Did something happen?" He paused before realizing what she meant.
"A group of Luxio got mad at someone trying to get a Shinx from their pack and got aggressive. I'm still recovering from the injuries." Crystal studied him. He didn't even consider lying, did he? He then smiled. "Let's... take this inside, shall we?" The trio nodded as they followed him. He gripped his head as they sat down. Gold frowned.
"Where are the others?" Sage hummed.
"Mountain. I tried to get them here, but they overcame my words by bringing up a dangerous threat there. And since I'm wounded, they told me to stay here and wait for you guys while they do that. I feel guilty not helping... but alas, self needs are also required at times." Crystal nodded silently before sighing.
"We'll start with you and if they're not back before we're done, we'll come back later." Sage nodded at that.
~~~
Parchment groaned as the storm grew. It was unstable for sure. Parchment was able to send out one message before all communications went down. She gulped before turning to the source.
~~~
They quad Dexters were walking out when Sage's styler hummed. He grasped it as he looked at it. He gulped.
"Oh boy..."
"What?" Gold asked. Sage hummed.
"The storm that circles the Oblivia Sector has become unstable. There's no safe access point. They're saying that any and all potential entryways are closed until the rangers down there have brought stability." Silver hummed lightly as Crystal groaned.
"There goes that..." A loud sound filled the air, making them jump.
"Go Siblings!"
"Listen up, Stargazers!"
Sage looked at the ground as he tapped something on his styler. A voice came through.
"Don't even say it."
"What do you think I was going to say?"
"That there's several idiots up north of me?"
"No... I was going to ask who was winning?" There was a weak laugh.
"I'm not sure. I just know that there was a curse. Probably the Stargazers or the poor rangers trying to keep up. I hope that they're ok."
"... did you get sidelined?"
"Tell your rangers to stop being so good." Sage cracked a weak smile at that.
"I would if I could... but we all know who the best ranger is."
"Cut the lies."
The Dexters busted out laughing as he tried to make a comeback. He groaned loudly before grabbing his head.
"You make my head hurt. Go split them up or something. Stop torturing me."
"You're the one that decided to try and calm a pack of Luxio."
He tried to make a comeback when a soft noise emerged from the styler. He sighed before putting it on his belt.
"'I'm not the best ranger.' Yeah... says the ranger that can do that. Honestly..." The trio chuckle. He frowned as Crystal hummed.
"Why don't you try and reach out to the other two?" He paused as he grabbed his styler.
"Let's see..." He paused as he waited. A loud sound came from the mountains before silence and a answer came.
"Hey Sage." Scarlet's voice appeared.
"Are you guys done?" Lapis's voice answered.
"Not yet."
"Lapis, where are you?"
"Sorry sweetheart. Not answering-"
An explosion cut him off, resulting in silence from everyone else.
"I shall repeat. Where are you?" Lapis let out a nervous laugh.
"Erm... just finished up with my battle. What about yours?"
"Keep one eye open tonight." Sage sighed.
"Knock it off. When are you two going to be done?" Silence greeted him as a loud sound came. Sage winced as Scarlet replied.
"Lapis has to answer that."
"I have to keep an eye open tonight? You better know a really good barrier." Sage groaned as Crystal sighed.
"Hey love birds, can you do your flirting elsewhere. I can't tease you if I can't see it." Silence followed briefly before Scarlet answered.
"We're not flirting. I thought it was-"
"Scarlet." Scarlet went quiet at Lapis's tone. Sage hummed.
"Yea ok. Not flirting. Got it. Please finish up and return."
"Yes sir." Upon their answer, a beep followed by a loud sound from the mountains filled the air. Sage groaned.
"And half an hour later they're laughing like a bunch of idiots." Silver paused.
"Are you trying to cover for them?" Sage's reaction answered that question. "I'm asking because it seems obvious about what you truthfully answer and what you think about. You have no problem answering questions about yourself, but you lie about your teammates." Sage gulped.
"Is it that easy to see?"
"Yes." The redhead answered. A magic circle hit the air as a cheer/hiss filled the air.
"Take that, Go Siblings!"
"Darn it, Stargazers!"
"This is our win!"
"Huh?"
A guitar sound hit the air, causing a scream to follow.
"What was that?! Your win?! Can't seem to understand!"
"Billy!" Sage sighed.
"Idiots..." He turned to them. "I'll admit. I am trying to cover them. But I'm not getting involved. That's why I stayed here."
"Garrett! I swear to Arceus if you-"
The explosion that followed clarified the results.
"Go Siblings! This is a win!"
"Tiffany! Tell your twin to fight us like real people!"
"I ain't fighting fire, Scarlet! Learn that the first time!"
"Lapis! Get down from your high perch!"
"The glory of victory seems to be drowning you out! Can't hear-"
"STARGAZER'S ANGEL CHOIR!"
A light hit the sky from the mountains before a scream followed."Aira!"
"I'll just take these-"
"Wait wait wait!"
Sage hummed as the shouts went quiet.
"I feel bad for those guys... their musicians up against that girl's star powers. Their ears will be ringing for a while now." Gold frowned.
"Why cover for them?" Sage gulped.
"This is actually a more aggressive battle than what we're witnessing. When Lapis almost said he wasn't answering Scarlet's question, he forgot about the whole thing about hiding what was actually happening." He sighed as a Pidgeot appeared overhead while three voices shouted from elsewhere. "Speaking of Lapis..."
A group of 5 landed near the entrance of the town. Lapis waved the large bird goodbye before they headed over to the quad. They were talking in rather loud voices as they grasped their ears. Sage chuckled softly at the sight. Sadly, Lapis noticed and frowned.
"What's so funny, captain?" Sage shook his head.
"I'm trying to not laugh at you guys. How are your ears?" The female beside huffed.
"That girl needs a restraint with that spell and the ones that are similar with it. 'Cause Arceus damn it that hurts." Lapis nodded silently in agreement. Sage hummed.
"Did you leave the others at the mountains?" The group smiled.
"This is payback for burning our eardrums." The group was suddenly on the ground as Scarlet appeared behind them.
"Thanks for leaving us." Lapis growled.
"Thanks for destroying our ears! We need them."
"Whatever." She noticed the trio and squeaked.
"Oh uh...." Sage hummed nervously as she gulped. "Hi seniors..." Gold hummed. Lapis chuckled softly as he stood up and started helping his group up.
"Typical. I'm the one that seems to acknowledge the odd presence first while you two wave it off." The other two remained silent as he finished and glanced at the group. "How about we meet at the harbor of Fall City for the next meeting?"
"Bell Tower first for the concert. That's tonight. We're livestreaming this one." The first female mentioned. He nodded.
"I'll be there. See you guys later." They nodded before splitting up. He went over. "Now to discuss the importance of eardrums." Scarlet huffed.
"I'm grabbing a sandwich. Who wants one? Lapis does? Great." Lapis growled as she went inside.
"I do NOT want a sandwich! I can wait until dinner!" Scarlet poked her head out.
"What's that I hear? 'I'm going to try to make it through the week with no food?' I think not. Two sandwiches it is." She went back inside, receiving a groan from Lapis and a giggle from the others.
"One of these days imma do it." Scarlet came out with three sandwiches.
"The trashcan can't save you either. Neither can Minun."
"Can I just win one battle?"
"Oh Arceus no. That's like saying we're going to let your father rule the world."
"He's not entirely that bad." Scarlet almost dropped her sandwich.
"Sage, can you grab the kit?"
"Yeah." Lapis blinked.
"It's not that bad-"
"Dude, you literally just said that you father, a maniac, isn't that bad. He almost destroyed Fiore. So yes. It is that bad." Sage went over with a small suitcase. Lapis looked at his untouched sandwich.
"But-" He stopped himself as he walked over and into the base. She sighed.
"Thank you, Sage. I'll go deal with him." She took the kit from him and ran after the bluenette. He smiled.
"Five pokedollars says that he dumped the sandwich." He sighed. "But most of the answers I gave for those guys are true. The only one I lied about was friendship status because I don't exactly have an answer. One minute we're best friends, next we're trying to kill each other, next we're back at peace. There's no real answer." A loud sound came from the base. "And there it is." Silver hummed.
"Since we can't access Oblivia, do you know where Crepe is?" Sage hummed.
"I wish I could help you, but being the only Triad War, he's impossible to keep track of. So you're on your own. I can contact you when Oblivia is open. But that might be a while." Crystal smiled as she pulled out a card.
"Reach out if it does. We need to talk to those rangers." He nodded as he took the card. "We'll have to come back for Crepe. Thanks for the help." He nodded as they took off. He looked down and sighed.
"Let's assume he'll cooperate."
~~~
The news let out that the Oblivia Sector had opened up. Sage was able to confirm it and that the Dexters were waiting for them. The Johtotrio went in as Midnight raced past them. A group of rangers raced after him with a large complaint. One of the rangers paused by them.
"Sorry about that! If you want, I can take you guys to where our Operator is and I'll regather them." Silver hummed.
"That would be great."
The ranger nodded as he led them to where a ship was docked. Cedar was watching the sky with a frown as they landed. The ranger tapped his shoulder before taking off. Cedar barely blinked as he hummed.
"Yes?" Silver paused as Gold gulped.
"Um... we're waiting for the Dexters-" Cedar scoffed lightly.
"You're looking at the Flame." He then shouted. "X-7! You're lagging behind! Are you sure you're a master here?!" The female shot a glare at him before getting in front of the group with two motions. The others paused briefly before racing after her. Cedar chuckled as the ranger from before called out to him.
"You're a jerk!"
"Yes I am! Have you caught them yet?" He hissed lightly before racing after the group. Cedar sighed. "Good times... Parchment! Can you come back?" One of the rangers pulled out of the race and landed beside him.
"What?"
"Dexters are here. Can you get them to a private area while I attempt to help Rand get Midnight down?" She got off the Staraptor and nodded as she waved it off.
"Absolutely. Follow me guys." She led them to a small hut. Crystal frowned.
"Don't you guys have a base?" Parchment frowned.
"We... do... but we would take an hour to get you guys there because the way we all go always closes up after we go through. There's no landing spots and the only other way is by ship. So unless you want to go that way-" Crystal shook her head.
"Actually, keep walking." The boys held back a chuckle as they went inside. She sighed.
"Now to wait for Midnight..." A shout hit the air as Cedar slipped in.
"He's coming after he's done blowing Red Eyes up. That guy does know that his Charizard army isn't good, right?" Parchment hummed.
"I wonder why he still uses them..." The door opened and closed as Midnight slipped in.
"Cedar! X-7 stole my job!" The group giggled as Cedar sighed and brought him into a hug.
"I'll talk to her later, ok?" Midnight murmured softly under his breath. "Right now, we have to talk to our seniors, ok?"
"Ok..."
~~~
Crystal hummed as she looked over the results. Gold frowned.
"The stability of this region is worse than the Torren area."
"Agreed. At least they have Purple to even out the odds. These guys have no stability that I've seen. It's always either wars, arguments and rivalries, or pain and suffering. Where's their stability?" Silver hummed.
"I think we need to talk to Crepe. He's the last one."
~~~
Crepe watched the Johtotrio as they flew away. Darkrai floated next to him as a soft whisper escaped the young Triad War.
"What's the plan now, seniors?"
~~~
The Blades, Flames and Waves were all meeting up for a discussion of the older members' notes. Scrappy, the only Sharea Dexter that was sorted out, eyed the information.
"So..." Gold said, breaking the silence. "What do we do? This was what we could get." Blue hummed at his junior's words.
"There's how many Dexters down there?"
"10 without splitting them into their respective sectors." Crystal whispered. Red gulped.
"Sage, Scarlet and Lapis were semi cooperative, Sage being the most. Dijon, Admiral and Seafoam were cooperative. Midnight, Parchment and Cedar were decently cooperative.... that's nine. What about Crepe?" Gold huffed.
"Never collided with him. But from what we were hearing, mostly from Sage, he's kinda impossible to work with." Silver glanced at Scrappy, who had finished looking through the notes.
"Alright Scrap Paper... what's your mind saying?" The smaller girl hummed.
"From all of the information, these guys need guidance to see we're not bad people and we can help them. But from what it looks like, they're all working together to maintain stability. I bet if we talk to Crepe, we can find a stable point of this group." Silver sighed.
"This news report is brought to you by a scrap paper ad." The group chuckled at that. Skippy hummed.
"But Crepe won't talk to us." A soft chuckle came from the door as a familiar face revealed itself from the shadows. The group shuddered.
"Then that's a job for those in his shoes. Who's joining? Only my group? Ok."
~~~
Crepe hummed lightly as he eyed the trio entering the forest. Their eyes had caught his attention as they flashed. He silently followed them as they walked through. He knew the forest like the back of his hand, but these girls knew what they were doing. They were almost all the way through when Crepe's curiosity overtook him and he called out.
"Hey!" The trio paused as he stepped out. "Who are you and what are you doing here?" The blonde hummed.
"My name is Yellow. This is Whitley." The brown haired girl nodded. "And Lime." The green haired girl waved. "We're are the Flowers of the Triad Wars! We're here looking for someone. And you are?"
Crepe had to pause and process her words. Flowers of the Triad Wars? Looking for someone... did she mean him? He blinked out of the daze and straightened up.
"My name is Crepe. I'm the 13th Top Ranger as well as the 3rd Top Unit of the Ranger Union. I'm the solo Triad War of the Aloje Region. You wouldn't happen to be looking for me, would you?" Yellow smiled.
"You're definitely a Triad War. It's good to meet our junior finally." Crepe gulped.
"I don't believe you..." Whitley pulled something out of her bag.
"Does this satisfy you?" She held up her Pokedex, gaining a new reaction from the male. The other two pulled out theirs as he paused.
"I.... uh... yes." He gulped as they put the Dexes away. "Why are you looking for me?"
"Well... we're were hoping to talk to you about some things. Do you have a special place you would like to go to talk?" Crepe paused.
"Yeah... follow me..."
~~~
He led them to a small area by a farm. He peered into the farm and waved to someone. He then went over as Yellow looked around. There a decent little clearing with a small beach attached. There were some supplies for something over at the side and a small group of pokemon running around the beach. He whistled softly and the Starly went over to them.
"Can you send this to the chairperson?"
It nodded as it grabbed the note from him and took off. He sighed before calling out.
"Turtwig, Shieldon! Can you two help me with something?" The two slower pokemon nodding before making their way over. "Can you guys get 4 seats while I get a table set up?"
The two nodded before running off. He smiled as he walked over to the supplies and pulled a decent sized table out. The duo came back with four chairs.
"Thanks guys." He took the chairs and placed them down as they ran off. He finally turned to the three girls. "Sorry about that. Have a seat." Yellow smiled as they sat down.
"It's ok. Is this like a little base grounds for you?" Crepe nodded.
"I've slowly been working on getting an actual base up. I'm doing well for the most part." Lime nodded as she looked around.
"Even though it's not much, it's definitely doing better than what my group's base has. Our Blade, Purple, has been working hard to get us a new base before our current one collapses." Crepe hummed as he looked at the table. Whitley paused.
"Well... we have some things to do before we can get into some bonding, ok?" Crepe nodded as Yellow brought out a folder.
~~~
Red shuddered as Emerald nervously tapped his laptop. The base had gone silent after what they heard. Emerald gulped.
"I can safely say that the region is still in one piece." A sigh of relief escaped the room as they relaxed.
"That's good to hear." Forest gulped.
"Do realize that they're still down there." The others gulped.
"Thanks for the reminder..." Forest nodded silently as they paused. Emerald gulped.
"All three are down there with a high likelihood that something's going to happen. That's not entirely good..." X hummed.
"But if we know them like we do, they'll be difficult to track down and find to maintain. Not to mention they'll know how to deal with us and still do damage. So what do we do?" Purple murmured something softly under his breath. Red looked at him.
"Can you tell that to the whole group?" Purple nodded faintly.
"We could wait until something does happen and then reach out. They're normally weakened after something big." Blake nodded.
"That isn't a bad plan." Pink had a big smile across her face as she touched her brother's shoulder.
"Why do you do that?" Purple blinked softly before he looked at the ground.
~~~
The quad had finished up with the main chat and had started bonding. Yellow had confirmed that Crepe was definitely the stability. How? He had a hidden personality that said it all.
He had originally been insecure and only listened to them talk about their journeys and tales until he finally started coming out with his own. Then from there it was small questions, comments and jokes between the stories before he was laughing with them and truly talking about their similarities.
Yellow smiled as she listened to Lime and Crepe make some jokes about the Time Travel Pokemon. They weren't bad.
"Hey. All I said was training. I never asked it to try and kill a dragon." Crepe smiled before the duo chuckled. Yellow hummed.
"Crepe..." The brunette paused. "You seemed so tense before. Is there a reason?" He looked away.
"I... I've always been known for being the one who's suffering and struggling with keeping the group together and keeping the region from getting destroyed that it's just became a normal part of my life. I wish that wasn't the case, but..." Yellow reached over and touched his shoulder. He looked up and into the senior's eyes.
"I know what you mean, but loosen up a bit. Not everyone can do everything. You have to show what's all there." Crepe smiled softly and nodded as silence filled the air. A shout cut through the silence and made the brunette turn. He sighed.
"The restraint I have sometimes..." He murmured as he stood up. "Mime Jr.! That's ours!" The small pokemon teleported onto his shoulder as Yellow touched his arm.
"Let us go with. Triad Wars normally work best together." Crepe smiled as they went out to the scene.
~~~
Dijon hissed lightly as he jumped in front of Admiral and saved her from a raging Magmar. The female ranger was on the ground with her hair covering her face. The Triad Wars ran over and paused. Dijon met Crepe's eye and a smile crossed his face. Crepe smiled.
"Rest Dijon. We got this." Dijon nodded as Crepe calmed the Magmar. Yellow and Lime got to the juniors while Whitley met Crepe's eye. A sly smile hit her face.
"Watch and learn." She looked at something in the greenery. Her eyes flashed as she held her hand up. "Foongy!" The mushroom pokemon appeared in her hand as she shouted.
"CLEAR SMOG!"
The attack slammed into the greenery, pushing the plants and revealing a group of people. They winced as Crepe smiled.
"Mime Jr.!" The smaller pokemon smiled as it leaped forward.
"PSYCHIC!"
It flashed before the group was floating. A loud, yet shared complaint followed as he smiled. Lime smiled.
"Nice job." The duo nodded before going over. Yellow was trying to check Admiral, only to get hisses in reply. Crepe gulped before glancing at Dijon, who shrugged. He sighed.
"Admiral, get up."
"Get off me."
"Admiral, do you want me to look at your arms or let you die?"
The female brunette slowly sat up, keeping her head down. Crepe hummed before taking his backpack off and kneeling at her side. He slowly started working on her arms, making sure to not leave a spot unchecked or undone. Yellow watched as he worked. She hummed while Dijon huffed.
"And the usual continues... always working... not taking help..."
Crepe finish with Admiral and saw Buizel and Eevee's condition. He picked them up and checked for wounds. Yellow smiled before kneeling down beside him.
"May I?"
He glanced at her before giving her the duo. She pulled them into a hug as a soft glow covered them. He watched as the glow vanished and the duo were healed. He blinked as they bounced out of her arms. She smiled while the trio juniors stared. Whitley giggled.
"The ability of the world's finest, Yellow of the Viridian Forest, has appeared before your eyes!" Yellow smiled at her words.
"Hey, why don't we go back to your amazing show of hide and seek? You did a fantastic job as well." Whitley smiled as Dijon hummed.
"I don't think we've met..." Crepe smiled at him.
"Dijon, these are my seniors; Yellow from Kanto, Whitley from Unova and Lime from Torren. Sorry about that." He turned to the trio. "This is Dijon and Admiral, the Wave and Flame here." Yellow smiled at them.
"Nice to meet you guys." Dijon shook her hand while Admiral simply nodded. "Are you two ok?"
"Yes. Thank you." Admiral whispered extremely softly as she looked at the ground. Crepe sighed softly before yelping as a Jolteon shocked him.
"Hey!" Admiral was suddenly on the other side of him before running after the electric type. "Admiral!" She sent a smile of pure mischief before disappearing into the distance. "I swear that Eevee is something else."
"Ditto." Dijon grumbled. "Final answer."
"You wouldn't be wrong if I could figure out how it's so accurate."
"Mew?"
"If that's a Mew, I'm going to go hang Heath."
"Please don't. We need the entertainment for later." Dijon sighed. "Well now I have to catch up to her. Nice meeting you seniors and I'll see you later, Crepe. Pueltown Harbor, 6:00. Don't be late. " He ran off in Admiral's direction. Crepe smiled faintly before his face went red.
"Damn it... that sly Buizel." Yellow giggled.
"I'm guessing he just asked you on a date?" Crepe nodded.
"I'm still trying to figure out how he does it so cleanly..." Lime hummed.
"What would've made it better is if he had kissed you as well." Crepe's face heated up.
"W-what?" Whitley chuckled.
"Lime here has the most active love life. Yellow's is interesting, mine is shy... so when she says anything about love, she knows what she's saying." Crepe gulped.
"While that would be great... we're a switching pair. He's better at... asking for things or getting answers while I do the more interactive stuff." Yellow hummed.
"So you know what you're doing." Crepe nodded nervously.
"Yeah..." He sighed. "Is there anything else?" Yellow smiled before handing him a bag.
"As a Triad War, you have a lot of room to grow. When you're ready, we'll come and help you get to our level as well as find your place in our ranks. We may be the smallest Dexter group, but that's what we show. We are the group on top." He took the bag and nodded. "See you later, Crepe." He nodded as he waved them off. A smile crossed his face.
"Finally... a chance..."
(Let me know if you need anything else.)
