"Where is he?"
"Sick."
There was no way for the Aloje Waves to not laugh at Green's reaction to Dijon's response. Cedar even supported it by showing up and going to where they were. He looked very ill as he paused and stared at the empty space in front of him. Dijon gently called out.
"Cedar... where were you going?" Cedar paused before looking at the speaker.
"I...." His tired voice said it all as he gripped his head. "I was going to get some medicine cause I woke up to a headache." Dijon smiled before going over and taking his hands.
"Come on... let's go get you to bed. I'll get you the medicine afterwards." They disappeared back through the door. Minutes later, Dijon returned and opened a cupboard. Crepe sighed.
"You can tell he's sick just by knowing he wasn't the second one awake."
"Why's that the reason?" The other Aloje Dexters sent a glare at Sage, who chuckled.
"Because he always wakes up after the early bird unless early bird wakes up later." Sage grinned.
"Sunrise sharp this morning." The others groaned as Lapis frowned.
"Has anyone beaten you?"
"Discounting Dijon staying up all night, no." Dijon chuckled as Sage growled. "And that was uncalled for." Yellow sent a concerning look as the redhead spoke.
"It's called I'm a hunter and sleep on a new moon is like using HYPNOSIS on Noctowl. You're wasting you time. Besides, it fucking pisses people off and I get things done. So get off my back, will ya?" He filled a cup with water and went back to where Cedar was. Moments later he returned and paused. "Speaking of Hunters... I best get going. I have a Hunt meet to go to..."
And then he was gone. With a tap of his foot, he then had vanished. Green frowned at that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Oh holy fucking no!"
Dijon's blade already had taken off 5 heads. Don't ask why, but it did. He was currently letting it race around his hand, which just looked unsafe, while glaring at Kincaid. The Dimwit leader gulped before someone called out to the hunter.
"Dijon-"
And that's when Kincaid lost his head. It wasn't even a 'see you in hell' sort of deal. That thing was off without Dijon moving that far. Someone screamed from afar while a group cheered him on from somewhere. He huffed as a black smoke came from the newly beheaded body and into the sword. He huffed before turning to see the rest of the hunt and the seniors running over. Aria smiled.
"Dude, that was awesome!" He gave a faint smile.
"Better at night."
"Touche."
"Dijon-" Blue sighed as he scanned his junior. "You didn't have to kill him."
"He was testing me."
"Don't test a hunter."
"That's rule #4."
"Are you kidding me..." Dijon grinned before he perked up.
"Last one to the grounds has to grab Arctic."
That hunt was gone faster than Yellow could move. And that was pretty fast. Blue blinked at that as Green sighed.
"Someone has some answers to give."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cedar coughed as the illness hit him in the face. He was told to go and meet up with the other parts of the Northern Night 5, yet he felt like hell. He was also technically walking into enemy territory, beings that Green could be anywhere. And he was in Kanto. Brilliant. He gulped before his eyes landed on Ice as him and three others talked about something. He went over and frowned.
"Do I want to know?" Ice winced at the sound of the caster's voice before he turned around.
"Cedar! What a lovely surprise! W-what are you doing here in Kanto of all places?" Cedar sighed at the panic.
"I know. Shocking. I'm on a hunt for allies. Here's one, why are you here?" Ice gulped before the dreaded voice of Green hit the air.
"Cedar...." He immediately pointed at Ice.
"Guilty." You would've thought Ice turned into his name. He didn't move for a good minute before he yelped.
"It was the one time!"
"You still did it."
"You don't need to tell the whole world!"
"You're right. Crepe's already done that."
"HE DID WHAT!?"
Cedar regretted that one. He grabbed his ears as the ice mage's voice raised up. Green actually joined him as Cedar tried to calm him down.
"I was joking! Relax, Mr. I'm going to make a big deal about everything!" Ice huffed as he turned away. The other three chuckled as the female pulled him into a hug.
"We best get going before someone gets even more heated." She then slipped something to Cedar before pulling Ice and the other two males away. Cedar glanced at the paper and froze. Sly Sprirtweavers. He purred and sighed.
"Sly.... little..." He gently let his magic activate and his ghost-like wings appear before he took off. He might've heard an angry hiss follow, but he had already left.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Guiders weren't the problem. It was the shock that joined it.
"30!"
"Damn!"
Cedar paused before landing in Cherrygrove City. He spotted Gold looking around and immediately ducked behind a building. He then went over to where the sound was and paused. Silver and a group of 7 or 9 others were looking out across the small body of water at something. The dark caster had a large grin across his face as he glanced at the others.
"That's my 30! Fight that!"
"Shit..." Cedar went over and paused as Gold joined him. So much for that.
"Nah man. That looks like a 29."
"Better fucking not be." Silver eyed whatever they were looking at and growled. "Damn it!"
"Out of my way! That's an opening!" One of the others got in front and casted something. The spell flew before hitting something out in the water. The sound that escaped Silver was the most amazing one as he pulled away from the group and circled around to get a better look from another angle.
"Shit!"
"Oh fuck no!"
"That's how you do a 30!"
"Fuck this!"
Gold glanced at Cedar, raising an eyebrow, only getting a shrug in response. This would be fun.
"No fair, Whitney! You actually train to get a 30!"
"Then you should join me one time!"
"Oh go fuck yourself!"
"No way! I'm better than that!"
Cedar sighed before letting a shock loose, grabbing the group's attention. Silver and Whitney kept a glare locked before Cedar spoke.
"My next shock will be on you two if you don't separate. And no. I won't be the one that explains to Green what happened." Whitney chuckled as Silver growled.
"The lead Guide is mad he just got sidelined."
"I'll get take the front back."
"Oh really?"
"That's not-" Cedar paused as he mentally went over what she had said. Lead Guide... "Wait..." Silver let a half hiss/half purr out as he spoke.
"And you expose us!? Really!?"
"Admit it! I'm better than you."
"Just because you do extra training doesn't mean shit!" Cedar finally split them up the right way.
"Guiders, unless you want to be in the back, split it up!" Silver turned on his heel and let silence fill the air. Whitney didn't pull anything as Gold glanced at the caster. "Much better. Now... if you don't mind..." He held up his hand and let his Coven mark flash to life. "May we?" Silver didn't move until one of the older members sighed and went to the door. The others got the hint and followed. Cedar then nodded to Gold before following. Gold couldn't move as the door closed.
"What...?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cedar was still 100% sure of one thing.
Not all the Waves were not his allies.
He was glad to have Diamond on his side as the Werebeast pushed him out of the way of Platinum's attack. Cedar gulped before Diamond's shield went up and blocked the following attacks.
"Are you ok?"
"I think I pulled something. Other than that? She hasn't killed me." He let a laugh escape as her attacks paused.
"Outta the way, Diamond!" Cedar let his wings out and took off as Diamond shouted something back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cedar found the next group and the leader of the Spiritweavers at the same time. It was incredible. Of course, Platinum refound him with them, which made one of them nervous. Not that it mattered because Cedar was there.
He found them on the top of the mountain, where they were practicing their abilities. He was surprised by the numbers, but he couldn't complain. He naturally spent time with the large Hunt and Coven. He landed beside the Spiritweaver as the others worked to move the clouds out of the way. They were taking their time, which meant they were focusing on the bending and not their ultimatum skills. Cedar glanced at the Spiritweaver and hummed.
"You could've done that introduction differently."
"I've adapted to knowing the boys. Whenever Ice gets like that, he needs time to calm down and cool off. It's different than with Morty, since I have to makes sure he doesn't get too engaged in the weaving or else he passes out. Bill's different. He's the only one who doesn't have any connection with the spirits, so he suffers a little more than the others do." Cedar hummed. "I wouldn't have pulled out if Ice wasn't heated and Morty was pulling out of reality. So..."
"Yeah yeah yeah... I understand." He eyed the trio and paused. "So... Skybenders?"
"Yep..." She sighed as the trio finished and sighed. "They technically have more..." He heard a slight sound of annoyance in her tone as she continued. "But nonetheless, they still practice more then their whole group."
"This... isn't the whole thing?"
"They have a lot of members that come up and join them once a month for practice." The trio went over to them and paused at the sight of the Covenant. The younger girl went over and paused.
"Fantina who-" Cedar showed his Coven mark, gaining a sigh of relief from the male. The others giggled softly before the girl studied the mark. "Coven... where have you guys been?" He lowered his head.
"Hiding..." He then looked up with a smile. "Me and three others are working on getting back out there." She smiled before holding out her hand.
"Marley. Bertha and Saturn are behind me, Saturn being the little kid that's still scared of life." The male let out a growl as the older lady chuckled. Cedar smiled.
"Cedar. Nice to meet you guys." Bertha and Marley shook his hand while Saturn sorta shied away. He then paused. "Who leads this?" Marley smiled.
"Surprisingly, Saturn. He just doesn't like showing off." Saturn was quiet as a particular voice gained a groan from the caster and a shudder from the lead Skybender. Marley went to his side as he glared up at the demon Wave.
"Not now, Miss I'm about to have a problem because my senior's hatred. I'm busy. Lead by example." Platinum frowned as she glanced over the group.
"Why is a Covenant with an Elita 4, Gym Leader, Sinnoh Trainer and Galactic Admin?" A growl escaped Saturn as Fantina cut Cedar off.
"Well... Platinum dear... That's for us to know and you to find out." She turned to the Lead Skybender and called out. "Do you want the honors?"
Platinum was about to speak when Saturn turned on his heel and snapped his fingers. A huge ball of light suddenly appeared as he floated up to Platinum's level. Fantina smiled as the others joined her.
"Here, Cedar dear, is the power of the head of the Northern Skybenders."
He snapped his fingers on the other hand, creating another ball of light, making it look like he was holding two large human-sized suns. With an angry flash in his eyes, he threw them at the Dexter, who blocked instantly. Cedar gulped.
"But... there's nothing that can damage Platinum-"
"Oh, Saturn knows. That's not his goal. Wait for it."
Platinum finally pushed his attack off of her before her levitation got shaky. Not risking her position, she raced off, confusing Cedar. Fantina smiled as Saturn landed and got curled up.
"While it is very hard to hurt Platinum, her magic for a Skybender is another story. Since she's a void demon, her magic hates light. So he just needed her to block and let the light drain her magic to a threatening level. No harm needed." He hummed as Marley brought the leader close.
"We're all unstable-"
"But large while the south is small and stable. Small Under is unorganized while Big Under is unknown." He hummed as Marley helped Saturn over. Tears had coated his face as Cedar brought him into a hug.
"You did great... shh...................." Saturn trembled in his grip. The girls went to the side to let the boys relax before Saturn finally spoke to him.
"Thank you......." Cedar smiled before letting him sit down and smiled at him.
"You're welcome. You did amazing." Saturn smiled a little before looking at him.
"S-so.... Covenant... right?" Cedar nodded.
"Come on..." He helped the blue haired male to his feet as curiosity filled his eyes. "Let's go over to the girls and talk, shall we?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cedar was glad he made it back when he did. No one had the speed to get to the redhead like Cedar did. Dijon had casted something and it gave the caster a heart attack.
"VALLEY OF THE OVERCOME!"
Cedar froze before he picked up speed and raced past the seniors to get to the field of battle. A light hit it fast and hard, but that didn't matter to Cedar. His eyes flickered over the whole thing as it faded. As it faded, Dijon was breathing heavily with his head down. Cedar's heart dropped. He had casted that? In broad daylight on a full moon? One of those was crazy enough, but both? Was he trying to get himself killed? Cedar instinctively raced down as Dijon collapsed, his sword vanishing. He grabbed him before he hit the ground and scanned over him. There wasn't even an aura left. He quickly shook the hunter, causing him to open his eyes half way. A soft, playful smile crossed his face as pain filled his eyes.
"Cedy..................................................................."
Cedar bit his lip before he gently nuzzled against Dijon's face, gaining a playful, yet weak sound from the redhead. He then let his wings come back out as he took off, hoping to get Dijon back up and running.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Where's Dijon?"
"Huh?"
"Your boyfriend?"
"Oh...... uh......"
Blue was fidgeting with something in his hands as they tried to track down the redhead. Since the battle, they were worried due to Cedar's actions. Green frowned as Crepe scanned the area.
"How are you not panicking? Cedar probably has him somewhere and you're barely concerned."
"That's because Cedar's the most trustworthy person to have him right now. Unlike Lapis, who probably would've put him in a bodybag by now."
Poor Lapis choked on his water and was immediately trying to get airflow. It actually got to a point that Cedar had to give himself up to save him. A shout hit the air as Sage rubbed his back.
"ARMS OVER YOUR HEAD!" For some reason Lapis followed the directions before his coughing died off and the other two Flowers chuckled.
"Damn it... he beat both of us."
"That's what I was thinking."
They went over as a calm aroma filled the air. Green blinked before they went over to Cedar, who was making something in the kitchen. Crepe sniffled up the scent before he paused.
"Mm..... whatcha making?" Cedar chuckled as he started setting up a tray.
"Food."
"Cedar..."
"What, you hungry too? What did you have for lunch?" The Unit's stomach seem to let out a nasty growl as he sighed.
"Today's jam day! You know how I am about Jam.........."
Cedar sighed as purple sparkles drifted into the air and a bowl appeared under Crepe's nose. His eyes dilated before he took the bowl and took a few more sniffs, gaining a giggle from the others. Cedar smiled before grabbing the tray and leaving them. Green took an instinct move and dragged Blue after him while the others teased Crepe. Cedar went to Dijon's room and had some sparkles knock. A giggle escaped the door before he went into where Dijon was. Green was able to keep it open a crack as they peaked in. The scene was shocking.
Dijon was laying on the ground with a goofy smile as Cedar tried to get him onto the bed. His Buizel was gentle pushing him over to the bed while a Kirlia held the tray with PSYCHIC. Cedar tried to keep a playful face while attempting to move Dijon. However it seemed he could not keep both as he struggled with his work. Green had to bite her lip to hold her laughter before Cedar whined a little.
"Dijon, I'm not that strong... get on the bed..."
"No..................................."
With those words, he barely helped Cedar before slumping against the Covenant, gaining a complaint as they collapsed on the ground. Cedar gritted his teeth before pushing at Dijon, knowing this was just so that he couldn't get to his cards. He was able to get Dijon to roll off of him before getting to his feet and was able to get his main deck out before he was practically tackled by Dijon. A curse nearly slipped past his lips as he gave a gentle smiled to the half-in-reality redhead before he spoke.
"Dijon... get off of me. Please?"
"No........ Comfy!" Cedar sighed before Dijon was picked up by the purple sparkles from before and placed on the bed. Dijon was dead silent as Cedar got up and grabbed his shoulders before the sparkles took the tray from Kirlia.
"Now that we got you here, food." Dijon took one look at the tray before his face scrunched up and he disappeared under the covers. A groan escaped the Covenant and pokemon before they went another round. Blue slid in, despite Green's objections, and went over.
"Cedar?" The Covenant gave him a tired smile as he continued to try and coax Dijon into eating. "What happened to get this...?" Cedar sighed as Dijon gave a whine.
"He casted a spell... one that he shouldn't have casted as it wasn't in his range... in broad daylight on the full moon. While one of those situations can make him lightheaded... all can threaten his life."
Cedar stopped himself for a minute as Dijon gave another whine, this time to grab his attention. The caster paused before noticing that the hunter had emerged from the blankets and was staring at the food while grabbing his stomach. His face had a dead expression, but something seemed to spark. He then gave another whine, this time of impatience, as he threw his head into the pillow and gave a tired noise. Cedar smiled before speaking.
"Dijon..." The redhead poked his head out before seeing the food get closer. He sat up and smiled as Cedar sat down on the bed and helped him with the food. Blue hummed at that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It wasn't until new moon did Dijon recover. And Cedar helped him through all of it. The seniors went down there while most of the others were discussing things. Cedar wasn't with them as the older Dexters joined them and Yellow paused.
"Where's Cedar?"
"Resting." Dijon whispered softly. "He had... uh... drained himself out while helping me, so he right now regaining his energy." Yellow hummed before a soft noise filled the air and Cedar appeared, slipping past Lapis to get to the counter. He looked tired as he grabbed some food. Scarlet smiled.
"Cedar, you wanna join us now?" The words went right past his ears as a strong smell filled the air and he went over to an empty table. Lapis chuckled before calling out in a sing-song voice.
"Cedar...~" The Covenant blinked before looking over. "You should join us...~"
"Drop the aura." Lapis cursed under his breath as Cedar turned back to his food. Then he spoke again. "After this I'm going back to my room. So don't you dare, Midnight."
A noise escaped the smaller boy as he hid his pink-lighted hand behind his back. The others giggled as Crepe went over and gently rubbed the caster's back, gaining a soft purr from him. Crepe didn't seem to try and convince him to join them as he gently helped Cedar relax a little bit more. Green hummed at the sight. Crepe then whispered something quietly in Cedar's ear, gaining a soft reply as he finished his food. Crepe gently took his dishes and put it in the sink before helping Cedar back to his room. Silence followed before Crepe rejoined them and spoke.
"Ok.... so who'd Lapis kill?" The bluenette went pale as the others giggled.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Green frowned as they went over to the group of 6 that were quietly talking to the side. Cedar purred as they glanced at his phone.
"Ok...... the Southern Night 5 and the Small Under Night 5 are willing to meet. Big Under Night 5 is sending their leaders to meet since they're so big." He smiled. "This'll be interesting."
"When is this?"
"Next week since full moon is tomorrow." Silver hummed as Green growled.
"Covenant..." He let a groan out before Silver huffed.
"Leave us alone, Green."
"Why are you with him?" He held up his hand, letting the Guider mark glow with its yellow light. She paused as he spoke.
"Now will you leave us alone? Thanks." The other 5 giggled before they went out to somewhere. She growled at that.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cedar was full of smiles as the four Night 5s met up. It was impressive due to the fact that between the Northern Night 5 and Small Under Night 5's sizes (And the fact that the Northern Coven came out of hiding), the Southern Night 5's stability and the Big Under Night 5's leaders, it felt so complete. Arctic finally stood up, making everyone fall silent for a moment.
"Well.... since we have all gathered here, despite all that goes on around us, we shall start this unification right. So... shall we?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cedar stayed quiet as he eyed the Earth Queen. He was supposed to be talking to the other representatives from each Coven, but he highly doubted they would come while Green was there. He sighed as he glanced at Chili and Yuki.
"So... do we want to move or face it?"
"Small Under's Covenant has yet to show up."
"Yeah I know-" Green let out a yelp as Scrappy tripped her before going over.
"So who wants pie?" Chili spit out his water as the other two stared at the scene.
"Scrappy!" The Bunny Wave turned as the senior got up. "What was that for!?"
"Sorry. You were in the way of my path to my meeting and I was in a hurry." She then turned to the other three Covenants. "So are we getting started?" Cedar blinked before he finally could get words out.
"How do I unsee that?"
"You don't." Yuki murmured as she glanced at Chili, who had cleaned himself up from the mess. "You good?"
"Yes..." He smiled at the Wave and gave her room near his spot. She sat down as an choked noise escaped Green.
"W-w-what?" Cedar paused.
"You weren't at the reunion."
"Skippy needed me and I had work."
"Never mind."
"So we doing this or-"
"Scrappy!?" She nodded to the senior.
"I kept getting cut off. Now can we have peace and quiet please? Thank you." The four then went on with the meeting as the Wave froze.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cedar trembled as he sat down in an alley. The Aloje Dexter meeting just ended up in a disaster and he wasn't sure who to trust. He felt everything fade as he stared at the grey wall. A void. He knew this was to happen. He felt a hand on his shoulder, which slightly pulled him from the darkness as he looked up. Tiffany. He lowered his gaze as she forced him to his feet and helped him somewhere. He was able to get some words out.
"Tiff-"
"Not yet." He went quiet as the void consumed his mind. He lost track of where they were until something pulled him back.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Too easy if you ask Tiffany. She had heard what had happened and knew this was going to happen to her beloved boyfriend. Not this time. She got him to her campsite and into a tent she had prepared for him. She sat him down, knowing he wouldn't resist with his mind. Gently and sorta forcingly, she helped him get his jacket and shoes off. His eyes had already turned into a void-like emptiness. Without any resistance, it was easy to get him comfortable and ready before she kissed him on the nose, gaining a bit of life in his eyes. He looked at her in wonder as she gently pushed him down and kissed his nose again.
"Sit tight, my dear. I'll make this as enjoyable as I can."
She then dived down before a faint noise escaped Cedar. Like she said, too easy.
