"No!"

Red frowned as Scarlet weakly tried to answer the question that everyone was asking Lapis. Lapis was busy trying to breathe while Scarlet's voice has faded from trying to yell over the other rangers, particularly Sage and Cedar.

"Guys, I can answer-"

"We asked Lapis-"

"But I-"

"We understand! Let Lapis try!"

Poor Lapis wheezed softly against a tree. He was supposed to be studying for some test and they all agreed Scarlet wasn't helping.

"We asked Lapis, not your darn memory. Why don't you go bother Aria?"

"Because Aria almost made me go deaf yesterday?"

It was true that Scarlet wasn't on Aria's good side at the moment.

"Lemme answer it."

"Lapis has to!"

"He's going to fail. Give him a chance."

"I have a rivalry against his family, this is war."

"Scarlet, let him try."

"No."

Blue sighed as he watched his junior try to convince her teammates to let her answer the question.

"Scarlet!" She turned to him.

"Huh?"

"Why don't you come over here and you can have a memory battle with me?"

Time almost stopped at his words. A smile crossed her face after a moment of processing his words.

"You, Senior Blue, are on."

Blue was impressed. He thought he had a memory for days. But she came prepared. After gaining distance from the others, the challenge hit. But she had cards he was ready for. For example...

"20 years ago, the biggest ranger mission of the year hit the region, in which was a shadow club attacked the eeveeolutions. At the same time, two powerful pokemon were threatening to destroy the triangle regions up in the north. Both situations were resolved by a pair of twins, one a ranger and the other a trainer. It was quickly planned out and put into motion in just a week." He stared at her as she finished.

"20 years? I don't even think Sage was alive then."

"Nope. He's just under the age. Joel, who is slightly older than him, wasn't even considering for the rangers. A lot of the famous rangers now weren't even thought about becoming heroes." He gulped.

"Damn... how do you remember that?" She smiled.

"Old newspapers and files. That's all that needs to be said." He gulped as a cheer came from down the road.

"Yes! Now to do the actual thing!"

"Wait... what?"

Laughter followed. Scarlet grinned.

"Time to jump on them..." Blue sighed before following after the scarlet eyed female. "Guys! I just thought about something!" A groan followed.

"Uh... what?"

Pink stared at her twin as he grabbed his mouth. He had brought up something that pulled her from reality. She was so lost as he regained stable ground.

"I said... remember the time you helped Forest subconsciously help a very large fish kidnap his mom?"

"Wait... that happened?"

Forest screamed into his hands as the other two lost it, only further confusing Pink. Purple grabbed air as the other Dexters glanced at each other.

"Pink! Please! Remember one event!"

"Huh?"

"An event from our journey! Name one thing you remember from it!" She paused.

"Uh.... oh! You almost got eaten by a dragon!" The trio lost it as she paused. "What?" Forest wiped his face and eyes before sighing.

"You can't remember when you and I subconsciously tore down the Abyssal Cult but you can remember when your twin fucking brother was about to die! Are you fucking kidding me!?" She blinked twice as Lime grabbed air.

"Here's the ultimate question..." She looked at her rival. "Do you know when your birthday is?" She paused.

"December... 34th?" Scarlet put her head down in her lap as the trio lost it. "No... December has 31 days..." Purple stopped and stared. "February 30th?" Scarlet screamed into her lap.

"FEBRUARY ONLY HAS 29 FUCKING DAYS!" Lapis and Red grabbed their ears while the others looked at her. Pink blinked.

"It does?" Scarlet slowly raised her head as the champion paused. "I wondered why people kept looking at me like I was crazy." Scarlet took a gentle breath.

"You know... hearing that reminds me of another certain person that did something similar." The group glanced at her as she glared at Lapis. "Mind you, have you submitted that form yet?" He paused.

"Uh... what?" She smirked.

"You know... your fresh and new application I helped you restart since you put information like that your birthday was February 37?" He blushed.

"Heh... oh yeah... that... the thing you pulled me out of a mission to do..." She smiled before looking at the Torren Flame.

"How do you function without a basic memory?" Pink pointed at her fellow Torren Dexters.

"These guys help me out a lot..." They chuckled as Scarlet groaned.

"Great... We are complete opposites... great to know..." Pink frowned.

"What does that mean? I have a decent memory! It just doesn't... work... most of the time." Scarlet scoffed.

"I remember the most unique things. Such as-" Sage and Lapis groaned at her words. "-did you know that back 10 years ago, little Sage was saving the whole region of Aloje with nothing but his Styler cause he didn't have any partners?" Sage looked down.

"Don't remind me..." She chuckled.

"You're right. Joel's 23 run backs were more interesting." He leaned his head back.

"One of these days you'll forget something."

"Fucking make me." He growled as Lapis yelped slightly.

"Can I not be in the middle of this...?" They looked away as Pink frowned.

"At least my memory exists. Don't drop that bomb." Scarlet huffed.

"Name one thing from the past that'll save you here." Pink paused before she scoffed.

"I can tell you what exactly happened at Sonata Hills." The other three grabbed the ears.

"Why that one!?" She shrugged as they pulled away from her. Scarlet blinked as Pink kept talking.

"Who knows. But it started with Lime alerting me and Harmony about Sonata Hills after hearing it from fucking Forest, who heard it from fucking Purple. Don't ask, because that's a lot of explaining. Me, Harmony, Lime and Forest jumped Purple, as fucking Paul mind you, sabotaging the fucking power with Reukra and fucking Taen. They then made a deal with the Sonata City gym leader, aka Harmony, that they would turn the power on if they could see her fucking father. Strange fucking deal, but whatever. After that... I know I forced minor information out of Forest before we followed the fucking shady people into the father's room. After Forest had to step out because he couldn't fucking handle the sight of needles, even though he's in a room with fucking cultists and he's making deals with said fucking shady people."

The group giggled as Forest's face heated up, embarrassment filling it.

"Reukra then summons a half alien we all know and hate more than fucking Taen, fucking Malde. He was Malde before, but we don't give a fuck about it because that's already enough fucking trauma."

The others were chuckling as she loosened up, letting the jokes fly.

"After said fucking half-alien appears, Forest attempts to see the fucking result, only to get fucking kidnapped. Purple fucking escapes twice from me and Lime while Reukra and Harmony leave in silence. We don't know where fucking Taen went after the sabotage, but frankly, no one gives a fucking care. And there you go! Sonata Hills Incident in a nutshell."

She performed a swift bow as everyone applauded her. Scarlet blinked before Purple spoke.

"And this is just her mind throwing the first thing it sees from the pile of memories. None of them are organized, but that's life." She smiled as Lime paused.

"You remember every detail for that... but not the whole fact that Purple was about to be eaten? Really?" Pink blinked.

"Wait what?" Purple slow clapped as the group lost it. "No... what's so funny?!" Purple turned away as Forest gulped.

"You admitted after Purple first asked for a memory of the journey that you remembered the time Purple almost got eaten by Giratina." She blinked.

"I did?" Purple turned on his heel before walking away.

"I'm leaving! Fuck this!" Green sighed.

"Not until you get smacked at least once! Scarlet, Forest and Pink are joining." The named people groaned at that.
