(Birth of the Myth Stormgate)
(This is one of many)

A small child wailed as a couple huffed from their journey home. The mother was weak as she placed the child on a bed while a young girl went over.

"Welcome your brother, Amanda."

~

The boy gently gripped his new staff as he tried to find shelter. He didn't know why he kept the staff, but he did. He collapsed near a small sheltering area, which caught his attention. Gently, he got the strength to get under it, curling up to try and get warm.

~

A rather familiar face walked through the silent town before nearing the small shelter he had set up to see who would use it. Mostly pets wandered in, but he wasn't surprised by anything. Except this time, when he knelt down, he was slightly taken back by the sight of a small child. He quickly scanned the child, noting the thin clothes and dangerous staff. He finally spoke, gaining the child's attention.

"Why hello there." The child opened their eyes, studying the older man. "Why don't we get you to somewhere more comfortable than this little shelter?" Slowly, the child climbed out of the shelter, shivering due to the gentle wind. The older man then picked him up and allowed him to rest as he went home.

The child quietly slept through the night and the man was able to peacefully relax and work without interruption. The child only came to him when he was making food for them. Quietly, he slipped out of his temporary room and to the small table near him. The man noticed him before going over with two plates.

"Morning."

The child silently nodded to him before accepting the plate of food. After the meal, a soft 'Thanks' escaped the boy as he leaned back in the chair. The older man smiled before scooting the chair close to him.

"Alright... let me check you out, ok?" There wasn't much of a response, but he also didn't stop him as he checked the smaller boy. He smiled weakly as he found his back scarred up. "What happened?" The boy  paused before glancing up at him.

"My... papa..." The older male grimaced before he paused.

"What about your staff?"

"My... mama..." The man's heart sank before he gulped.

"Go get it and come back here, ok?" The boy paused before going back to his room and bringing the staff back to him. The man paused before grabbing his wand and casting something. The boy paused before feeling warmth cross over his body and the staff gaining a cold touch. He dropped it instantly as the man smiled. "There... that's not a good staff for you. We'll get you a better one soon." He made the staff disappear before taking the small child's hands. "Now then... what's your name?" The kid blinked.

"Nolan... Stormgate..."

Nolan gulped as he gripped his new staff before looking at the school. It looked frightening and he was terrified for sure. He finally gulped before going in and looking around for the headmaster's office. He found it before going in silently.

"Avery, you really don't know what you're doing!"

"I'm a pirate, Ambrose! Not one of your students!"

Nolan felt weak as he quietly went over to the two men. The pirate noticed him before pausing.

"Looks like you have a visitor. I'm going to speak to trainers." The Headmaster stayed quiet until the Pirate left before smiling at Nolan.

"Why hello there. Come on over."

Nolan trembled as he closed his dorm's door. The school's faculty was kind, but there was few nice students. He placed his staff near his bed before curling up for rest. He had already spoken to the headmaster and adjusted his classes.

"Leave him alone!"

That was the first time he had gotten stood up for. A group of 3 backlashed against Suzie and her friends while the 4th went over to his current form.

"Hey." His eyes raced up to meet the cold Death wizard, Duncan Grimwater. Everyone said to stay away from him, but here he was. They locked eyes before a small smile crossed the cold student's face. "Come on." He gently took his hand, allowing him to pull him to safety.

They grouped up in Duncan's dorm, which made Nolan a little worried. But now that Suzie wasn't in sight, they loosened up.

"I should've smacked her."

"I could've recorded you smacking her." Nolan paused as he adjusted the mask over his mouth. They had introduced themselves; Skyla Songlight as the School's Elemental Master, Remmy Nightingale as the School's Master Witchdoctor, Daisy Willowmancer as the School's Master Experimenter and Duncan Grimwater as the School's Master Darkness. Great. Finally, he moved the mask and spoke.

"Why'd you help me?" They paused at his soft voice before Duncan smiled.

"There's two reasons. One is that we hate Suzie as much as you do. The other is something you wouldn't know until now..."

(Positions of Groups of Families)

"Aw!"

The small hybrid blinked as the group of 5 gently circled her. She then chirped a bit before racing behind Duncan, gaining a giggle from the Grim master.

"Lisa. Come on. We're all Allies." Another chirp escaped the small hybrid as she fluttered her wings a little. "Aw, it's ok. They won't bite. I do, but-" She moved to Nolan upon his words, gaining a giggle from the others as Duncan gasped. "Lisa- I won't eat you."

Lisa climbed up to the Stormgate's shoulder before purring gently as he silently looked over his notes. He then reached up with his free hand and rubbed her head, gaining a soft purr from Lisa.

Across the way, Suzie frowned at the sight.

"Pixiedust... Dove... Willow... Stormgate... Grimwater... Laveraux... Grãcé... What?"

Suzie and a group of students; Artur (Her brother), Penny, Electra, Garrick, Rosie, and Mindy; were looking for some way to lock onto a connection with the group that was going against them. And this was their closest.

"There's Nolan... but is he what they mean by Stormgate? Same with Duncan... But the others?" Rosie went over with a book that looked rather formal.

"I found something. It's pretty new, so it'll work."

"What?" She placed the book down, allowing them to read the title.

"'7 Families of the Spiral'?" Rosie nodded.

"Pixiedust, Dove, Willow, Stormgate, Grimwater, Laveraux, and Grãcé." Suzie took the book with a hum. "It talks about the members of each family and their purpose. It also has pictures and currently locations of many of the members." Suzie paused as she looked over the book.

"Wow... According to this... We have a Grimwater, Pixiedust, Dove, and Willow. There's rumors of a Grãcé and Stormgate being here. Interesting..." Artur paused.

"Who?"

"Skyla is a Pixiedust, Remmy is a Dove, Daisy is a Willow, and Duncan is a Grimwater. Interesting..."

(Laveraux Prowess)

A pair of red eyes scanned Wizard City as the ship docked. Magic instantly picked up the girl's stuff as she went over to the town area. A small sign marked her location as she set the stuff down and sighed as she pulled out her phone and called someone.

"Hey, I'm here at Wizard City. Where are you? ... Where-" The girl jumped as someone landed beside her.

"TADA!" A blonde girl stood up from her landed as the other blonde closed her phone. Purple eyes scanned over the boxes as she grinned. "Ready?"

"You gave me a heart attack... Yeah. Let's do this."

"Shoto!" The first blonde smiled as a group of 6 went over to them.

"Duncan!" The two wizards hugged before she perked up. "Are these the other Families?" He Smiled as he pulled away.

"You know Skyla of Team Pixiedust. This is Remmy from Team Dove, Daisy from the Willow Academy, Lisa of the Grãcé League and Nolan of the Stormgate Code." She shook each of their hands.

"Shoto~Lee Łæœrshire of the Laveraux Family." The other Blonde finished setting something up behind her as Remmy smiled. "I'm guessing you guys know Saffron?"

"Hey Cuz." She glanced at them and grinned.

"Remmy!" They hugged as Remmy purred.

"What are you doing with the Laveraux?" She blinked before giggling.

"Why would I tell you? Unless..." Remmy pulled away from the practical master dealer.

"Never mind. I get it." She smiled before turning to Shoto.

"Your station's set up." Her face lit up as she went over and grabbed a knife and spoon.

"Good. Then let's get to work. The Grimshire's got competition." Duncan grimaced.

"Per usual. Good luck."

"Holy shit... that's incredible."

Saffron nodded as she and Shoto talked about the Families. Saffron was the only one of the Laveraux's (More specifically the Deveraux's) to have had contacts with more than a handful of the other Families.

"But it's still the same. They've grown..." Saffron nodded as Shoto finished the order that was waiting. "There." Saffron gave the person waiting their treat before turning back to the treat maker.

"Well, we have to soon leave our mark."

"We did that years ago. And I suspect that we haven't stopped. The Grãcé are the only ones that can rival us."

(Pixiedust & Dove)
(I had to put them into one or else it wouldn't make sense)

"You're going to get us killed."

Ashley shrugged as she looked over the enemy lines. There was 400 waiting for them at least and she kept saying blizzard.

"It'll be quick."

"400. We don't know how many are ice and shit."

"I'll pack Prisms."

"Out of my way."

Devin raced forward, spear spinning as she started clearing the field. Ashley frowned as she glanced at Erin, Keith and Emma, who were quietly waiting behind her.

"We're going after her." They sighed as they raced out. Erin instantly sent out a heal to Devin before Emma sent buffs to Keith and Ashley. Keith's sword purred before cutting down several enemies. Ashley threw down Climaclysm, tearing down most of the army against them while Devin tore down whatever remained. She then scoffed.

"I had it."

"Blasphemy, Dove. Blasphemy."

(Grimwater)

Duncan growled at the pirates that were picking on Remmy. The poor Dove was still crying as they avoiding his magical prowess as a Witchdoctor and pointed out all his other flaws.

"Hey." They turned to the Grimwater as he pulled out a particular wand. "Leave him alone."

"Aw... a Death Wizard wants to play. Now that I think about it-" Duncan didn't let him finish.

"Dear Grim that oceans this place,

Tear down those that dare claim victory

And end them in the pits of the Waves of Night!"

His wand flashed weakly before the darkness raced at them and pulled them out of the area. He put the wand in its little sheath before going over to the Dove Witchdoctor.

"Remmy." He leaned against the Grimwater, his eyes fading out from what had happened. "No no no... come on-" He picked him up before carrying him to the others to rest.

(Willow)

"You did what?"

Daisy hummed as she pulled ingredients together to help Remmy. Apparently she had made Suzie slip with a fake floor illusion and gotten away with it. She quickly put a potion together before giving the Dove.

"Here..." Remmy took the potion with dim eyes before softly sipping at it. He made a face before she hummed. "You have to drink all of it. Come on." He groaned a little before he continued the small sips. She then smiled. "But yes I did. I'm still not caught."

(Grãcé)

Lisa's eyes glowed as she touched Nolan's head.

"Belhem."

A glow covered him as he was gingerly healed up. She then grinned as he made a soft noise.

"I got it!" She then made a chirp before running around the Myth Wizard, getting a giggle from the others.

(Laveraux)
(Łæœrshire and Deveraux groups are making appearances. No Vermon group)

"Nana..."

Duncan's first reaction was to put up a barrier. It was up and cutting the battle off from the bystanders. The others glanced at him as he called out.

"Tear her down!" Shoto's wand glowed a deep red as she pointed it at her Rival. Her assistant slipped out of the way as the manipulator casted.

"Warlord's Rage!"

A pillar of red light slammed down on the Rival Sweet Maker as the others gasped. Duncan gulped as all they got was a scream from the target as Shoto growled. The pillar continued its assault for a good minute or two before starting to fade. Nothing was there as she finally took a steady breath. Then she turned to the assistant, who had found a lovely hiding place behind one of the shops. He frowned at the sudden attention.

"No thanks."

"Uh uh. Take it like the little rat that you are." He stuck his tongue out before darting around.

Just to dodge a sword racing at him.

Remmy squeaked as Saffron clicked her tongue at Bryce's near-prefect, accidental dodge. She then swung at him, aiming for the head, which he ducked. Upon landing from her leap from wherever, she swung at him again him. This time he had gotten a small wand out to send a small magic spark to block her. They continued their exchange of blows before she hummed.

"Not bad, but you are up against the wrong Swashbuckler."

He recoiled by blasted a large shadow blast at her. She merely sheathed her blades and grabbed it with her right hand, forming a shadowy blade. Her other hand grabbed at the sky, as if using the sun to make a glowing sword. He flinched before she appeared behind him.

"Night."

A ghostly wailed hit the air before a twister of darkness encased the duo. Shoto was silent as the others gasped. It died down a few seconds later, only leaving Saffron. The two magical blades had vanished as she grinned.

"KO!"

"MURDER!" Duncan groaned as Remmy crossed the shadowy line where the barrier was, knowing he was in dangerous territory. "I'm related to Murderers!" Shoto shrugged as Saffron giggled.

(Stormgate)

"Oh Lady Nightstar he isn't."

People had learned that Nolan was the holder of the Tear of Storms.  So now since they're always trying to get it to Marleybone's museum (Despite the other families' arguments on why it's a bad idea), Nolan was a target. Except that Nolan was the master of crowd control and escape.

"Where is he?"

"Left." Suzie glanced to the left as Nolan turned a corner. "Just missed him."

"What?" Duncan's eyes widened as Nolan stood right next to Suzie, as if waiting for her to turn to him. Instead, she felt to where they had said she 'missed him' in confusion. The Myth Wizard shrugged as he sat down next to them.

"I can go another hour before a troll 'accidentally' gets summoned."

"Accidentally?"

"Yes. Do you have a problem with that?"

"I need to evacuate the World. What world's the safest?"

"Whichever one doesn't have a Stormgate." Skyla froze.

"Fuck-" Nolan smiled.

"I'll see you guys at the dorms tonight."
