Prompt

They always thought that moving to a new town, new place, new job would be nerve-wrecking but their doubts were put to rest when everyone in their working place was welcoming and kind. Things are great, they made good friends, no one made fun of them for being different, they felt accepted. One day, that all gets turned upside down when they stayed back late at night at their workplace, finishing up something before clocking out. As they passed by their boss' office, they overheard something that had their blood running cold. "Is that why everyone was so nice to me?" they thought. Continue this prompt!
