Kasai slowly opened her eyes.

Where was she?  What happened?

There was something next to her.  No, not something.  Someone.

Fuego was already on one side of her, but who was on the other?

She sat up and rubbed her eyes, then looked over and was surprised to see Cory snuggled up to her.

"Oh-!"

It was then she realized she was in his room and not her own.  She blushed wildly.  Why was she here?

Cory yawned as he slowly started waking up.  Kasai looked over at him.

"Hey, Cory..."  She stretched.  Cory jumped and looked at her.

"...hey, Kasai.  D-did you sleep well...?"

"I did, actually."

"That's good..."

The two of them shared an awkward moment of silence together.  Kasai looked back at Fuego.  She immediately felt concerned when she noticed he wasn't awake yet.

"...Fuego?  Fuego, you need to wake up."  She gently shook his shoulder.

... Fuego didn't respond.

"Bro?  Bro, please!"  She shook him harder, filled with worry.  Cory hesitated for a moment.

Fuego still didn't wake up.

Kasai mumbled something in Spanish rapidly.  Cory put a hand on her shoulder to calm her down.

"Kasai?  Are you okay?"

"I'm fine.  Fuego isn't."

Kasai desperately tried to awaken her sleeping brother, but it was no use.  He wouldn't wake up.

She whimpered, her body heating up from concern.  She would've burst into flames, but since she was already weak, she wasn't able to.

She started coughing.  Cory gently hugged her.

"Kasai, calm down.  You're getting yourself too worked up."

"But Fuego-"

"I'm sure he'll be fine."

She took a deep breath and forced herself to calm down.

Cory gently rocked her back and forth as if he was a father trying to comfort his distraught daughter.  She snuggled into him, her temperature dropping again. It was still lower than it should be.

"Did you get sick or something?"

"... probably. I mean, the chances of it are pretty high..."

He whimpered in concern.

"B-but I'll be fine!" Kasai said reassuringly. Cory just sighed.

"...you should probably get to YOUR home now."

"But I want to stay here."

The words accidentally spilled out of Kasai's mouth like water spilling over a waterfall. She cupped her hands over her mouth.

"I-I mean.."

Cory stared at Kasai, wide-eyed and blushing.

The two of them sat in silence for a moment.

"...I wanna stay with you." Kasai whispered, leaning her head against Cory, who gave a small smile and gently stroked her hair.

"...okay. We can stay together a little longer."

The two of them sat cuddled together, though Kasai was still worried about Fuego...

...who still wouldn't wake up.
