Normal Command Game Information
Welcome to Storms and Sickness, a warriors DISASTERS command game!
If you already know how command games work, go to the disasters information.
This is the general command game information page for anyone who is new to command games.
I also have a few minor changes to the usual command game things, as well as the major DISASTER twist, so reading this is still advised.
In command games, you put a command like /hunt in the comments. Later, an admin will respond to the command with something like "[Name of Cat] went hunting and caught 3 prey!"
There are certain mechanics that will be explained.
Updates and Moons
Every day, a new moon will start. Every moon, energy will be refilled and one prey will be eaten by each cat. Every moon can also have an event.
Energy and Commands
Energy determines what and how many commands you can enter. Normally, you have an amount of energy each moon that you can use for commands. Different commands take different amounts of energy, but it normally takes one energy per command.
Seasons and Weather
Different seasons have different affects with different pros and cons. Each season consists of three moons or days so twelve days is a year.
In new-leaf, hunting and foraging starts getting easier. However, hay-fever and floods happen more frequently due to pollen and melting ice.
In green-leaf, you get +1 herbs when you forage and +1 prey when you hunt. Blizzards and frosts never happen. However, forest fires and heat waves occur more frequently. This is also the time twolegs come to the forest so expect some twoleg traps. Due to the absence of recently fallen branches, when you gather, you get -1 sticks.
In leaf-fall, hunting and foraging get a bit harder. Due to falling branches, when you gather sticks, you get +1 sticks. There is also a small chance of getting injured by a falling branch.
In leaf-bare, when you hunt or forage, you get -1 prey or -1 herbs. As it is easy to see where the sticks are, when you gather, you get +1 sticks. Rouge attacks happen more due to starvation and fires happen a bit more due to the dryness.
Hunting, Prey, and Hunger
To last even a couple of moons, you need prey. Prey feeds cats so they don't go hungry.
After one day of no food, a cat is hungry. After two days, they are starving and one energy gets taken away. After three days, they die.
When a cat goes hunting, they bring back prey for the clan to eat.
Foraging, Herbs, and Healing
Herbs are used for healing. To heal a cat, it takes an amount of herbs and one of the medicine cats energy.
To get herbs, a medicine cat goes foraging.
Gathering, Sticks, and Building
Sticks are mostly used for building. If a rank doesn't have a den, they will be sleep deprived and have one less energy. Different dens take different amounts of sticks to build.
Leaders Den: 10 Sticks (Holds 1 Cat)
Warriors Den: 20 Sticks (Holds 10 Cats)
Medicine Den: 15 Sticks (Holds 5 Cats)
Apprentices Den: 15 Sticks (Holds 10 Cats)
Nursery: 10 Sticks (Holds 5 Cats)
Building a den takes at least 2 cats doing the action. You should gather to get sticks.
Training Your Cat
To be more effective at tasks, a cat should train with it's mentor or a cat leveled higher in that skill. If two cats train, the one at the lower level will gain 0.5 in the skill that is being trained. The max level for every skill is 5.
Ranks of Cats
Cats have different ranks. They are mostly similar, though some have different amounts of energy and different commands.
Leaders are basically warriors with nine lives and a role that lets them make announcements. They have 3 energy.
Deputies become leaders after the leader dies. They are warriors for the most part but can also make announcements. They have 3 energy.
Warriors are the main structure of the clan. They hunt, patrol, and defend the clan from danger. They have 3 energy.
Apprentices are warriors in training. They become warriors at 16 moons. They have 2 energy.
Kits are the youngest members of the clan. They can't do anything except play. If they play at least 5 times before they become apprentices at 6 moons, they will be level 1 in all their skills. They have 1 energy.
Queens are she cats that have recently given birth. They have kits in the nursery. They have 1 energy to play with their kits at first, but after four moons, they regain another energy to do something else.
Medicine cats are cats that have knowledge of herbs and healing. Instead of hunting, patrolling, and defending the clan, they use their knowledge of herbs to heal and forage. They have 3 energy.
Medicine cats apprentices are apprentices in training until they become full medicine cats at 16 moons. They have 2 energy.
Each rank serves the clan in a special way.
Attacks, Events, and Patrolling
[This is the normal command game version. It will NOT work like this in Storms and Sickness.]
Sometimes there are events like an attack, flood or twoleg traps. Different events have different effects.
Attacks happen when the border goes below 10 and a wild animal or cat attacks the clan. Use /defend to protect the clan.
To stop most events, you need to keep the border above 10. To do this, warriors should use the command, /patrol in groups of at least three. Keep in mind, attacks will still happen, though not as frequently.
The border will go down by by 2 each day.
Injuries and Sicknesses
Injuries and sicknesses should be healed. If they aren't, they might get infected and kill the cat.
If a cat is slightly injured or has a cough, they loose an energy. If a cat is injured or has whitecough, they loose two energy. If they are severely injured or have greencough, they loose three energy. Nightcough or fatal injuries will kill the cat.
Bonding and Breeding
To have more cats join the game, one way is to breed. If two cats have bonded enough, they can become mates and breed.
There are multiple levels of bonding.
0 Bonds: Strangers
1 Bond: Acquaintances
2 Bonds: Light Friends
3 Bonds: Friends
4 Bonds: Best Friends
If two cats get to best friends, one can ask the other to be mates.
LGBTQ+ is allowed. Instead of breeding, they will search for kits or ask a tom/she cat to help.
Death and Rejoining
Sad as it may be, your cat will eventually die. If your cat lives to the age of 152 moons, they will pass away peacefully in their sleep. Don't worry though, as you can rejoin the game by entering another cat and going through the waiting list again.
