Sue watched the opening of the Stark Expo while she made her dinner in the kitchen. After a long day of handling business affairs, she had decided to watch the man who she would be working with open the large event in his infamous Iron Man suit. She resisted the urge to roll her eyes as he landed in the middle of the stage with cheers sounding from the large audience.

'Miss Storm?' A voice came from the intercom attached to the wall. Sue put down the bowl of pasta that she had made for herself and turned to the intercom, seeing her assistant.

'I have a Pepper Potts here for you,' Felicity said. Felicity was Reed's assistant but was transferred to here when she signed for the company. Sue still wasn't sure how to take her yet, as Felicity was only in her mid-twenties, while she was in her mid-thirties.

'Thank you, Felicity. Once you send her up, you can go home for the day.'

'Thank you, Miss Storm.'

The elevator doors that sat near the kitchen opened after a short while and Pepper appeared. The women smiled at each other and exchanged a small greeting, Sue showing Pepper to the sofa that sat in the open-plan living room.

'Tony wanted me to give this back to you,' Pepper held out a reused plastic bag. Sue took the bag and looked inside, seeing her blue suit screwed up in a ball. Her chest pinged with annoyance at the lack of care and knew that Tony had carelessly tossed it in there for a reason.

'I'm assuming he put this in a reusable plastic bag to make a statement?' Sue raised an eyebrow at Pepper who looked slightly embarrassed.

'He told me specifically to leave it in there,' she said in a bemused tone. 'He said he's made an enhanced version of it. I don't know what that means, but I'm sure you do.'

'I suppose so,' Sue huffed and put the bag down next to her. 'Thank you for bringing it over. Were you on your way home?'

'Yes. I live just down the road here.'

'I'm sure you're flooded with work on the Stark Expo's grand opening,' Sue put the TV on to show Tony's presentation happening live. 'He sure knows how to make an entrance.'

'Unfortunately, that's his style,' Pepper let out a snicker. 'I have a million and one things to talk about with him tomorrow. I should get going. It was nice to see you.'

'You too, Pepper.'

Pepper left and Sue was alone. The suit sat disregarded and deemed useless in the plastic bag beside her and Sue hoped that Tony was on track for a breakthrough.

---

'He just signed over the company just like that?'

'It certainly seemed like it.'

'CEO of Stark Industries. That must be a lot of work.'

'Trust me, it's a lot to scramble together considering Tony left it in shambles.'

Sue walked with Pepper down to the workshop as they talked. Tony had signed over Stark Industries to Pepper and the poor woman barely had a moment to herself. She had found a new assistant for Tony, who Sue had seen walking around with long, curly red hair and in a tight, black dress. Sue knew how it felt to be running a company that had been near enough dumped on them, but at least she had directors who handled most of the logistics of it.

'The Invisible Woman has arrived.'

Sue's eyebrows pinched together as Pepper ascended back up the stairs and left her in the workshop. Tony stood with the blue screens floating around him of different graphs and charts. His voice rang out across the room and Sue wondered if she had heard what she thought she did.

'The Invisible Woman?' she repeated, and Tony looked at her through the screens.

'Yeah. That's my new name for you,' he grabbed something off the table and walked over to the woman while giving her a small smirk. 'If I'm right, and I usually am, you should be able to manipulate wavelengths to make it seem like your invisible. Something to do with the cosmic energy that interacted with your cells from the waves. JARVIS is working the rest out now.'

Tony handed her what looked like a headpiece. It had a white headband with small white pads on either end that would attach to each of her temples. A small piece of rectangular glass sat where her left eye would be, and Sue watched as Tony typed away on his screens.

'I didn't appreciate the way you returned my suit to me,' Sue said as she walked to stand in front of the desk. 'Was it that pitiful?'

'Not pitiful,' Tony said while looking at the screens. 'Just... my stuff was better.'

'And where's your 'stuff'?'

'I'm working on it. Do you like blue?'

'Yes?'

'Shame. Could make it red. I picked red.'

Sue realised that Tony was referring to the colour of the suit he had allegedly replicated and enhanced. She had used blue just because it was the material's original colour.

'Tony, we don't have to do this now. I know you have a lot of other work to do with the Expo-'

'I really don't,' he replied without looking at her. 'I've decided to put aside all of that. Pepper's running the company and I've just had a conference with the U.S government about wanting to control Iron Man. Which, might I say, went extremely well.'

'Yes, I saw. Very well handled.'

Sue put the band across her forehead and stuck the white pads on either side of her temple. Her left eye looked through the glass and she saw a blue light turn on in the corner. Tony continued to tap away on the screens before looking to her. He saw how her brown hair was tied back in a low bun with her fringe covering her forehead and small hairs framing her face. Her doe-like eyes stared back at him, and Tony almost forgot about the small burning he felt in his chest from the arc reactor.

'Tony?' her voice rang out and he cleared his throat, regaining his composure.

'You're gonna have to concentrate now,' he said and glanced up at her vitals that were displayed on the screen in front of him. JARVIS was monitoring her cells and brain activity, displaying it all as normal for the time being.

'You need to quite literally, disappear.'

Sue let out a deep breath. She had never tried to use her abilities in this way before. It was usually only her strong emotions that brought it out. The forcefields were the easy part, the disappearing was a challenge. She focused on the small burn that burrowed inside her. It was the same burn she felt when she had screwdrivers thrown at her from Tony Stark. It wasn't a hot burn, like from a fire, but like from ice. It made her veins feel cold and the hairs on her skin stood up as it rushed from inside her. But rather than make it protrude off of her, she let it encase her.

Tony watched as the woman's eyes narrowed and it wasn't long before he could see parts of the wall behind Sue. His lips parted in awe as Sue's skin started to become faint before disappearing completely, her hair and features following. Her clothes that consisted of a thin white t-shirt, jeans and shoes stood lonesome in her place. The headband that monitored her vitals and activity floated in the air, the blue light flickering as JARVIS analysed any changes in her body. Sue's entire being had turned into the clearest glass known to man.

'That... is a neat party trick,' Tony let out and checked the screens. 'JARVIS? Anything?'

'Miss Storm's cells are reacting with the cosmic energy that remain from the radiation she was exposed to. Visible, infrared and ultraviolet light seem to bend around Miss Storm, yet her vision is undistorted with light still passing through them for full functionality. I've never seen anything quite like it, sir.'

The door to the workshop opened and Sue lost her concentration. Sue's form appeared once more, and Tony's new assistant was in a mild shock to see the clothes that once stood on their own suddenly have a body inside them.

'Natalie,' Tony cleared his throat, and the woman regained her professionalism as she turned to him.

'Mr Stark, your jet is waiting for your departure,' her smooth voice said, and Tony put away all the screens.

'Great.'

Sue took off the headpiece and laid it down on the table. She felt slightly fatigued from the actions, but accomplished. From the look that Tony had, she knew she had pulled off full invisibility. The stare that burned into her side made Sue look to see Natalie waiting for Tony to grab whatever he needed. Natalie gave Sue a small smile when she caught her stare, before Tony stood up straight and brought her attention to him.

'We're heading to Monaco for a getaway,' Tony said to Sue. 'Spring of the moment thing. The Grand Prix is happening tomorrow and there's a big lunch party... thing.'

'Sounds ravishing,' Sue let out with a laugh and glanced towards Natalie for an explanation. She was confused as to why Tony was explaining his vacation to her, and Natalie mirrored a similar expression. Tony let out a sigh and blinked a few times, forcing out his words through his nervousness.

'You could... tag along. It's just me, Pepper... Happy... Natalie, of course,' he pointed to his new assistant and looked to the woman he was struggling to keep eye contact with. Tony had to tell himself to pull it together. He was Tony Stark; playboy, billionaire and genius. No woman made his palms this sweaty or make his heart skip a beat.

'Oh, I couldn't intrude,' she shook her head with a bashful smile. Tony Stark was inviting her to Monaco. She'd only ever travelled from her hometown in England to America, and outer space, of course. Monaco was luxurious and Tony was sure to dine at the most expensive restaurants and stay in the best hotels.

'Come on,' Tony jerked his head towards the staircase. 'Think of it as me returning the favour for all the tests and stuff. Free of charge.'

'I don't know, Tony,' Sue looked down to her feet. Heat climbed up to her cheeks and her throat was beginning to dry up. Tony stared at her and resisted the urge to laugh while Natalie's eyes widened.

'You're glitching.'

'I'm sorry?' Sue looked at Tony with pinched eyebrows.

'You're glitching. Like a... computer.'

'It seems that Miss Storm's emotions can activate the energy that's manipulating her cells, sir,' JARVIS's voice rang throughout the workshop. 'When Miss Storm gets nervous, the energy-'

'Thank you, JARVIS!' Sue yelled out and the system's voice paused. Tony bit his lip and Natalie let out a small snicker. Sue caught a glance at her hands and saw the tips of her fingers disappearing and reappearing. She cleared her throat and looked up, hoping that the redness of her cheeks were at least see-through.

'Monaco would be fun,' she nodded.
