The group sat at a large table in the control room. They discussed with Thor about his brother and what Loki had done to put him on SHIELD's arrest list. Bruce Banner stood to the side and changed the subject from Loki's adoptive childhood.

'I think it's about the mechanics. Iridium, what did they need the iridium for?' he asked and was answered by Tony who walked in with Agent Coulson.

'It's a stabilizing agent,' he walked around the table and went past Thor who stood with his arms crossed. 'Means the portal won't collapse on itself, like it did at SHIELD. No hard feelings, Point Break. You've got a mean swing.'

Thor stood still as Tony tapped his large bicep before walking to where Director Fury would usually stand to oversee the running of the carrier. At the absence of Sue, Thor looked around over his shoulders for the woman who somehow had a flexible presence. He assumed she wasn't in the room and turned back to see Tony putting a hand over his eye to imitate Fury.

'How does Fury even see these?' he asked Agent Maria Hill.

'He turns.'

'That's exhausting.'

While Tony planted a hacker implant under a desk and talked his way around the table, Sue stood directly behind Thor without anyone noticing. Her footsteps were nothing but a patter across the panelled floor, and Tony capturing the room's attention made it easy for her to make her way through in her invisible state.

'Finally, someone who speaks English,' Tony cheered after him and Bruce had a back and forth about thermonuclear astrophysics.

'Is that what just happened? Steve said in complete confusion to all the jibberish.

'It's good to meet you, Dr. Banner,' Tony shook his equal's hand and grinned. 'Your work on anti-electron collision is unparalleled. And I'm a huge fan of the way you lose control and turn into an enormous green rage monster. I have a friend who's like you with the whole radiation thing. Only she's a little... hard to see.'

Thor felt a blow of air over his shoulder and whipped around with his arm raised to punch. The group turned to him and saw him looking around with shifting eyes to find the culprit, before Sue's form appeared with a wide smile. Bruce was amazed at the sight of Sue materialising from the air and Natasha held back a smirk at the trick. Steve's mouth hung open as he thought he'd seen everything, cursing for ever betting with Fury that nothing else would.

'Careful where you tread, witch,' Thor pointed a finger at Sue with a menacing look. 'No barrier of yours can protect you from my wrath.'

'Geez,' Sue mumbled with a look to the others that said 'can-you-believe-this-guy?'.

'Please remain visible as much as you can, Miss Storm,' Director Fury announced his arrival and the group turned to see the man who brought them together. Sue sunk into a chair and kept quiet for now, trying not to laugh at the glare she received from Thor, and the smirk she got from Tony.

While Tony and Bruce worked on locating the Tesseract, Sue decided to do some physical digging. Tony informed her that he would be searching SHIELD's data base to find out why they were all gathered now and not before the Tesseract was taken. She used her invisibility to her advantage when following agents to see if anywhere was worth searching through.

Wandering the halls, Sue found a room that was locked by a passcode that she watched an agent type in before entering. She leaned against the wall in plain sight as they exited moments later, unaware of her watching and turning the corner. Sue went to the door and copied the passcode, the door opening and closing on its own to anyone that could have been watching.

The room was full of physical files that were considered too old-fashioned to keep in constant use. She took the time to pull cabinets and drawers open, finding nothing of interest. She wasn't too sure of what she was looking for, but anything to do with the Avengers would be a start.

Pulling open a drawer on the bottom of a free-standing unit, she crouched down and saw a file divider labelled with the word 'Project Initiative'. It was a place to start, and she pulled it out to have a flick through. Nothing was in there that she didn't already know as it was an overview of the Avengers and its goals.

Pulling back other files to fit the one in her hand back in, she caught sight of some words written on a lower part of a file in the drawer. The word 'WATCHLIST' was written in black marker and Sue was intrigued. She pulled it out and opened it to see the front page to be a report of Captain America.

Rogers is an enhanced human with strength highly above average. Enemy of Hydra and highly trained in combat. POTENTIAL THREAT

Sue's eyebrows pinched together in confusion at the last two words written in red. She turned the page and came to Bruce Banner, a description of his mighty strength and thick skin that was as thick as armour followed by the red words POTENTIAL THREAT.

The woman flipped through the file quickly, seeing names like Thor and Tony. All were descriptions of their strengths and how they could be threats to the people of Earth and of SHIELD. She came to her own page and read her description with an anger rising inside of her.

Storm possesses energy to disappear and create near unbreakable barriers. Associated with Stark and swift when invisible. POTENTIAL THREAT.

Sue thought she had read it all and went to throw the file to the floor in frustration. But before she could, she caught sight of another page behind her own with word 'STORM' written at the top. She pulled her page back and froze as the name she thought she would never see again was labelled as a potential threat.

Storm can ignite his form and combust into flight. Female sibling with equally as dangerous abilities, could be associated and highly flammable. POTENTIAL THREAT.

In Tony and Bruce's lab, the two worked on the screens while Loki's scepter sat lonesome on its stand. Director Fury entered the room to see the progress on locating the Tesseract, when he saw that the screens they worked on displayed anything but that.

'What are you doing, Mr Stark?' the man asked in a stern tone. Tony and looked at the man he had grown to mistrust.

'You're supposed to be locating the Tesseract.'

'We are,' Banner perked up and pointed to a screen on the other side of the room. 'The model's locked and we're sweeping for the signature now. When we get a hit, we'll have the location within half a mile.'

'And you'll get your cube back, no muss, no fuss,' Tony shrugged before he pulled up confidential files from SHIELD up onto his screen. 'What is Phase two?'

A clang of metal made the three turn to see Steve with a HYDRA assault rifle slammed on to the metal table. His face was like stone as he stared at Director Fury. The man remained expressionless at the three men in the lab that looked at him for an explanation. He hoped it wouldn't have to come to this.

'Phase two is SHIELD uses the cube to make weapons,' Steve said and glanced to Tony. 'Sorry, the computer was moving a little slow for me.'

'Rogers, we gathered everything related to the Tesseract. This does not mean that we're-'

'I'm sorry, Nick,' Tony cut him off and turned the screen that displayed weapon plans and blueprints to the group. 'What were you lying?'

At that moment, Thor and Natasha walked in and noticed the stares the men gave each other. Natasha saw the look Director Fury gave her and turned to see Bruce looking confused and angry at the new information about SHIELD. The room was tense and it was only going to get worse, as Sue stomped through the doorway and stepped to be next to Thor.

Tony noticed her hard eyes and the way her jaw clenched at the sight of Director Fury. His eyes travelled down to her gloved hand which held a brown file. He looked back up with a look of inquiry, but Sue was too angry to meet anyone's gaze but Fury's.

'Fury,' she called, and the man unwillingly turned his attention to her. 'Care to explain why you have a potential threat watchlist with all our names in it?'

She held up the file and word 'WATCHLIST' could be seen by everyone in the room. This caused Thor to furrow his brow and looked to the man who was like a lobster in a steaming pot. Director Fury kept his calm and eyed Sue who he knew had more to say. He glanced to Natasha once more and she took caution with her hand over the holster of her gun.

'Not only that,' Sue began again. 'But there's someone else in here who I believed to be dead.'

'Miss Storm, we can have a conversation about this at another time,' Director Fury was careful with his words.

'No, I think we should have it now, actually,' she crossed her arms over her chest with the file still in hand. She caught sight of the screen that displayed the blueprints to what looked to be weapons made with the power of the Tesseract. Bruce looked to the woman who he thought was genuine to him.

'Did you know about any of this?' Bruce asked Natasha with a look of betrayal.

'You wanna think about removing yourself from this environment, Doctor?' Natasha replied.

'I was in Calcutta, I was pretty well removed.'

'Loki's manipulating you.'

'And you've been doing what exactly?'

'You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you.'

'Yes, and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy,' Bruce then pointed to the screen of plans and blueprints. 'I'd like to know why SHIELD is using the Tesseract to build weapons of mass destruction.'
