Sue wore a cropped t-shirt with grey sweatpants; all laced with the unstable molecules Tony had used to make her red suit. Most of her clothes were now able to disappear with her body, making full invisibility a common occurrence for Sue. She had been practicing her abilities in the training room that Tony had made in the new Stark tower. Her hair was slightly messy after she pulled it out of a ponytail and was tired after her attempts in creating a forcefield the size of a building. But it would need more work, as she couldn't seem to master one any bigger than a small plane.

'Sir, the telephone,' JARVIS's voice sounded throughout the room. 'I'm afraid my protocols are being overwritten.'

Sue looked to Tony as he let out a large sigh when his phone unlocked to display the name 'AGENT COULSON'. The man wanted to avoid anything to do with SHIELD or any other organisation who wanted to talk with him.

'Stark, we need to talk,' Coulson's voice came through the screen. 'Storm needs to be present too.'

'You have reached the life model decoy of Tony Stark,' he tried to do his best impression of a soulless voice and face, making Sue bite her lip to prevent her from laughing. 'Please leave a message.'

'This is urgent,' Coulson said.

'Then leave it urgent.'

The elevator doors opened, and Sue turned around to see Phil Coulson standing there with his phone in hand. She could sense Tony's impending groan as the agent walked into the penthouse with a solemn expression. The man was worried about something and the women in the room sensed it, but Tony was too caught up in the annoyance of having his security breached.

'How are you, Phil?' Sue asked, putting on a smile. The man appreciated her attempts at being polite and returned the favour.

'Good, thank you, Miss Storm,' Phil held out an electronic file to Tony who gave him a stretched look of reluctance.

'I don't really like being handed things,' Tony said, and Sue let out a 'tsk', taking it into her hands instead. She walked past the three who stood together, and she started swiping through the files.

'Official consulting hours are between eight and five every other Thursday,' Tony tried to get the agent out of his house, but Phil was determined to ignore the billionaire.

'This isn't a consultation.'

'Is this about the Avengers?' Pepper pipped up before backtracking. 'Which I know nothing about!'

While the three bickered, Sue sat on the large sofa as she went through the files. Videos and photographs of extraordinary men with profile descriptions filled the screen. Captain America, the famous soldier that had risen from the ice after disappearing during the Second World War, was seen battling behind enemy lines. Dr. Bruce Banner, also known as The Incredible Hulk, roared as he attacked the U.S army at Culver University. And Thor Odinson, a demi-god who travelled from the planet Asgard years prior, was shown in New Mexico fighting against a destroyer.

'Tony?' Sue called out from her place on the sofa. The three turned around and looked to the woman who looked up from the files, her face displaying the urgency Phil insinuated.

'You're going to want to see this.'

The helicarrier was magnificent. Most of Tony's equipment was situated in the lab that was set up for him and Dr. Bruce Banner. Sue carried the last of the boxes from the quinjet that SHIELD provided and huffed as workers walked past her nonchalantly. Whatever Tony decided he desperately needed on the SHIELD helicarrier was beyond Sue, but she thought there could at least be an offer to help from someone.

She stepped out of the quinjet and started making her way across the landing strips. The wind blew her hair back and the oceans waves roared against the floating carrier. Sue squinted as her eyes watered from the breeze and hurried towards the door that would get her out of the brisk, ocean air.

'Ma'am, do you need some help with that?'

Sue turned her head and squinted at the man who walked briskly over to her. His blonde hair bounced on his head and Sue tried not to notice how tall and how colossal his shoulder width was. In the sun, she couldn't make out his facial features until he stopped in front of her and shaded her with his shadow.

'Any help would be appreciated from Captain America,' Sue joked and felt the box slip out of her hands and into his. The man gave a small smile as he took it under his one arm and carried it with ease.

'Where is this going, ma'am?' he asked and Sue went to show him the way, when Phil Coulson appeared next them with Natasha Romanoff by his side.

'Miss Storm, I see you've met Captain Rogers,' Phil motioned between the two before he turned to introduce Natasha. 'This is Agent Romanoff.'

'Ma'am,' Rogers greeted politely.

'Hi,' she greeted back and sent a nod to Sue as they already knew each other.

Phil was called to the bridge by another agent and the three were left to talk. Natasha motioned for them to walk with her, and Sue offered to take back the box from Rogers next to her. He gave her a small laugh and shook his head, saying that he was happy to carry it.

'Really, ma'am, I'm fine,' he insisted before he stuck out his hand for a shake. 'Steve Rogers. We weren't properly introduced.'

'Susan Storm,' she accepted his shake, liking the fact he continued to call her ma'am.

'It was quite the buzz around here, finding you in the ice,' Natasha started as they walked. 'I thought Coulson was gonna swoon. Did he ask you to sign his Captain American trading cards, yet?'

'Trading cards?' Steve repeated.

'They're vintage. He's very proud.'

'Dr. Banner!' Steve called out and Sue followed his gaze to see a man trying to avoid being walked into. Agents bustled and trained around him, the man grateful to be called over and hurried to shake Steve Rogers' hand.

'Oh, yeah, hi. They told me you would be coming,' Dr. Banner said with a kind look in his eyes. Sue noticed how he looked slightly uncomfortable being on the floating vessel. He caught Sue's stare and gave her a smile, recognising her face.

'Miss Storm,' he greeted, shaking her hand enthusiastically. 'I'm a big fan of Dr. Richards' work. And you coming back in the shuttle was quite a story. The way you disappear too is... well, its better than what I got from the radiation.'

An awkward laugh came from both Sue and Bruce Banner, and Steve looked to Natasha with a look that said 'save this'. Natasha didn't need to be told and heard on her earpiece that they were preparing for flight.

'Gentlemen, Susan, you might want to step inside in a minute. It's gonna get a little hard to breathe.'

The helicarrier began to vibrate and the engines on all four corners began to whirl. The ocean swished as air was taken into the engines and sent outwards, the wind picking up and whipping across everyone onboard. Quinjets were strapped down by workers before they ran in straight lines to get inside.

'Is this a submarine?' Steve questioned.

'Really? They want me in a submerged, pressurized metal container?' Bruce snickered as the two walked to the edge to stare below at the sea.

Sue watched as the four engines turned to a grey blur as the helicarrier lifted and began to ascend upwards. She chose not to move to the edge where Steve and Bruce stood. Heights weren't her strong point and she got enough of the fear from being on Tony's flights. The box that she was originally carrying was still under Steve's arm, so she decided to turn and head inside.

'Oh no, this is much worse,' she heard Bruce say before she was out of earshot.

With Natasha behind the wheel, Sue watched as Loki chose to surrender once Tony turned up next to Steve Rogers. She tagged along in case Tony needed backup and stayed in the quinjet with Natasha in her red suit. Natasha commented on how amazing it looked on her and Sue filled her in with all it can do. The redhead said it was kind of 'cute' that Tony could read all her vitals.

'What do you mean by that?' Sue pinched her eyebrows together. Tony and Steve loaded Loki inside and sat him down at the back, barely talking to each other.

'He can see how you're doing at any time of the day when you're in that suit,' Natasha elaborated with a raised eyebrow and noticed how clueless Sue still looked. 'Nevermind.'

Natasha lifted the quinjet into the air and started heading back to the SHIELD helicarrier. The night was cloudy, and Sue noticed how spits of rain dropped onto the windshield. Some thunder boomed, but the jet was built to handle all forms of weather conditions.

'I don't like it,' Steve spoke up. Sue turned and saw Tony standing next to him with his helmet off.

'What? Rock of Ages giving up so easily?'

'I don't remember it being ever that easy. This guy packs a wallop.'

'Still, you are pretty spry, for an older fellow. What's your thing? Pilates?'

Sue ignored the jabs Tony sent to Steve. She knew the two wouldn't get along as she was aware of Tony's dislike for Captain America. His father was always so fond of him when he worked with SHIELD and Tony would hear stories and stories about the world's first Avenger. Anyone who had potential of showing Tony up was someone Tony would need to show up.

Sue turned her attention to the man they'd flown all the way to Germany to arrest. Loki sat with his head down and stared at the electronic cuffs that held his hands together. Sue also thought that it was strange for Loki to surrender so quickly. She was sure that she would have to drop out of the jet and show some of her new abilities she had been practicing. Or maybe it was that she wanted to show them. Either way, Loki wasn't one to admit defeat while he could still stand.
