Anjali was shocked hearing what he said.

Everyone stood in shock at everything that just happened.

Amrita's voice broke their reverie and they all looked behind to find an angry Happyji and an equally angry neighbours behind them.

Happy moved in and grabbed Shyam by his collar and pulled him out and pushed him on the floor with the neighbors surrounding him with the women armed with canes and sticks and the men with their sleeves rolled up and ready to bounce on him.

This scared Shyam who looked around for help but found none.

"How dare you show up here!?..... Decieved the Guptas to marry Khushi and when Shashi caught you...... You tried to kill him which left him paralyzed. " Happy revealed shocking the Raizadas who turned to look at Shashi and from his expression knew it was true. "We won't spare you today........ In this neighborhood, no one hurt our daughters and friends and gets away with it especially good people like Payal, Khushi and Shashi. " Happy bellowed making Shyam flinch seeing the fury in his eyes and that of the neighbors. "Atttttaaaaacccck." Happy yelled and the men kicked him while the women hit him with their canes.

If not for the timely arrival of the police, Shyam would have been lynched by them.

They forcefully pushed everyone aside and picked up a badly bruised Shyam and the head of the police officers moved forward and stood in front of him.

"Mr Shyam Manohar Jha..... You are under arrest for attempted murder of Mr Shashi Gupta." He said and turned to his men. "Take him away. " They then pulled a resisting Shyam away and officer moved to the veranda where the Guptas and the Raizadas were standing. "Don't worry Akash....... Your fiancee gave us the video and with the written statement of Mr Shashi Gupta..... He will be locked up for a very long time." He said to Akash who nodded.

"Thank you Aditya...... I have also asked some private detectives to have a background check on him and  sure there is more dirt on him which will help us get him to rot in prison for good...... My lawyers will be at police station for any legal arrangement needed. " Akash revealed and Aditya nodded.

"Good...... We will fully cooperate with them to keep him locked up for good. " Aditya said and left with the others and Shyam.

Happy and Amrita moved closer to them.

"Akash..... We are also here if they need our statement. " Happy said to Akash and turned to Arnav with a scowl on his face. "If not because you are related to Akash..... We would have given you the same treatment. "

"If you hadn't released that video then he wouldn't come to our Khushi's life. " Amrita said in anger and all the neighbors yelled yes in unison.

"Am really sorry for everything. " Arnav apologized shocking all of them because they've heard how arrogant he is. "I really am and it will hunt me for the rest of my life..... And am ready for any punishment. " Arnav concluded with his head bowed in shame.

All were just taken aback by his apology that no one spoke for a couple of seconds.

"Bhai .....Khushi is the only one who has the right to punish you. " Akash said and everyone looked at him. He marched up to Arnav and looked him right in the eyes. "Maybe Khushi may forgive you..... But I will never forgive...... What you did to her nearly drove her to her death?..... You tore up a family bhai...... You took her away from not only her family but her neighbors who clearly with what they did today shows how much they love her." Akash concluded and Arnav looked down in shame and pain to see the brother who idolized him so much look at him in disappointment.

Gradually everyone disperesed afterwards leaving only the Guptas and Raizadas.

They all heard a thud and turned to find and unconscious Anjali on the floor.

The Raizadas and Guptas sat in the hall with worry on all of their face.

It's been over ten minutes since the doctor has been with Anjali in Khushi and Payal's room.

Their reverie was broken by door opening and the doctor came out and all rushed up to him.

"How is my granddaughter? " Nani asked almost on the verge of crying.

"She is fine now...... But please take very good care of them. " The doctor replied but everyone was confused when they heard them.

"My dadi is asking of my sister and and who is this them you are taking about? " Akash almost yelled at the doctor.

"Your sister is pregnant and from her pulse beat.... She is approximately seven weeks pregnant...... Please take very good care of her and buy these medicines for her. " The doctor said and tore a sheet from his note and handed it to a shocked Akash and took his leave.

The family moved into the room to find Anjali wide awake and Nani moved closer to her and sat on the bed.

"How long have you known you were pregnant? " Nani asked and Anjali looked at her.

"I found out three days ago and told him this morning. " Anjali replied making Nani sigh.

Mami moved closer and stood by Nani.

"Forget him Anju..... You have your baby and he or she will be your strength from now on. " Mami said and Anjali nodded with a weak smile.

Anjali stood up from the bed and Nani and Mami moved to her but she denied their help and moved to the Guptas.

"Am sorry for everything...... It's all my fault...... If I hadn't pressured Arnav to buy Sheesh Mahal then none of this would have happened. " The Raizadas were shocked at the revelation and Anjali felt their gaze on her and turned to them. "It was I who made Arnav buy Sheesh Mahal....... I wanted to make uncle feel the same way he made us feel when he kicked us out..... " The Guptas then realized Arnav and Anjali were Maliks with this revelation.

Everyone knew the story of the palace especially about the boy who saw his own mother kill herself in front of him and it was Arnav.

For the first time the Guptas felt sorry for Arnav.

Manohar marched up to Anjali breaking the Guptas reverie.

"You are absolutely right..... All this is you fault....... " Manohar exclaimed in anger and Nani was about to retort but Manohar stopped him. "Don't maa...... She brought all of this on herself........ When she wanted to marry Shyam, Arnav and Akash wanted to have a background check on him but you hour glass doll princess her went on a hunger strike in protest of it and made her brothers villains...... All this would have been avoided..... " Nani kept quiet knowing he was right. "I know there is more atrocities that has been committed by that man because I didn't like the negative vibes I got form him when I met him but your Anjali..... You literally blackmailed all of us to accept Shyam....... Anjali has always manipulated and you maa has always supported her in all her foolishness..... You are heartless Anjali." A crying Anjali looked up at Manohar in shock. "That palace and it deeds has haunted your little brother for years...... He watch your mother blow her brains out and you push him there again....... You don't deserve anyone's pity...... A demon like don't deserve a brothers like Arnav and Akash who fulfills every ridiculous needs of yours...... Shyam was right about why you didn't want to have your leg corrected...... But it ends now....." Manohar then turned to Arnav. "Open your eyes...... Because she will put you in some serious trouble but unfortunately she already has...... " Turning back to a crying Anjali. "Immediately we leave here...... You will dust up your certificate and start looking for a job to fend for yourself and your child. " Manohar said shocking the Raizadas women.

"Hello hi bye bye...... She is pregnant. " Mami exclaimed in sympathy and Manohar turned and glared at her making her gulp.

"And so what..... She is not the only pregnant woman to start working...... Millions of pregnant women around the world work all day and still go home to manage the home so what makes Anjali any different from them...... Arnav. " Manohar said and called out to Arnav who looked at him. "Block all her credit cards and any access to money and reduce her account money to one lakh every month until she finds a job..... We will pay for her hospital appointments...... That all we will do for her...... She is thirty two years old and pregnant and has to start learning to take care of herself....... I dare you two to object and you both will face my wrath. " Mami and Nani gulped seeing the fury and seriousness in his voice and expression.

Manohar turned to the Guptas and felt really bad for them especially Payal and Shashi who lost their happiness.

"Am very sorry on the behalf of my family. "

"Please." He was immediately interrupted by Payal."We with the exception of my father are responsible for Khushi leaving....... I let my anger out on Khushi and I saw how disappointed and shocked she was when I for the first time since I met her turned my back on her. ..... We are also responsible and I especially take full responsibility because if I had not let people's words get to my head, I would have fiercely stood up for Khushi like I always did. " Payal said and her eyes started tearing up. "But am happy Khushi for once in her lifetime choose to be selfish and put herself first...... I know she is a strong girl and my only prayer is for her to be safe and happy even if it means I may probably never see her again...... Even if I will miss her, I will choose her happiness over mine anytime and anyday." Payal moved closer to Arnav who looked at her confused and nervous. "For whatever reason provoked you to hurt my sister..... I don't want to know and I don't care to know..... All I know is you are the first man who hurt her most in her entire life. " Arnav bowed his head in shame. "But I have seen that you sincerely regret it but that doesn't mean I will forgive you...... I know you are planning on looking for her. " Arnav raised his head in shock. "If you really are as sorry as you say you are then don't look for her." Arnav looked at Payal in a sad way and was about to speak but Payal stopped him by raising her hand. "Please don't look for her...... Let her be..... If she is meant to be in our lives then she will come back but if not then it will be our punishment for hurting her...... Please I beg you don't try to look for her or even keep tabs on her. " Payal concluded and Arnav sadly nodded.

Manohar felt so proud to have Payal as her soon to be daughter in law because it take a good person to acknowledge his or her mistakes and a greater person to put the happiness of others first even of it will mean a lifetime of pain.

"Well thank you Payal...... And please don't worry...... I won't let your family's never be dragged into this...... We will find a way to make Shyam pay without bringing the public and media attention on you......" Manohar then moved closer to Shashi and kneeled in front of him. "And after this nightmare is over..... I would come to ask for Payal's hand in marriage for Akash. "Shashi smiled and Manohar smiled back and stood up and looked at Payal. " My dear..... I know you don't want us finding Khushi but please allow me let my men find her not to bring her back but to make sure she is safe wherever she is and don't worry no one will know of her whereabouts except for her well-being. " Manohar concluded and Payal nodded and  hugged him taking him aback but he smiled and reciprocated the hug.

Payal then broke the hug and smiled at him who smiled back.

"We will take our leave now. " Akash said to all as he moved closer to Payal and held her hand and afterwards turned his gaze to her. "Take care of babuji. " Payal and Shashi smiled hearing babuji. "I will be here tomorrow to take you and babuji to the rehabilitation center..... The faster he gets better the better we have a solid case against that scum....... I will have some of our bodyguards come here and look after all of you especially you and babuji. "

"Akash .....There's no need for that..... I can take care of us. " Payal interrupted him.

"But Payal. " Akash retorted and Payal stopped him by placing her hand on his lips.

"Don't worry..... I can take care of us and besides I won't feel comfortable seeing all those bulky men around us and it will also draw a lot of unwanted attention on us. " Payal said and Akash sighed and nodded even though he didn't want to leave them all by themselves.

"We shall take our leave now and I will keep in touch with you all soon. " Manohar said and the Raizadas moved out after Akash kissed Payal on the cheek making her gasp in shock at his audacity to kiss her in front of everyone.

While Akash was daydreaming of his love and was a little worried about Khushi, Arnav was very sad and gloomy about what Payal said to him and he knew Payal was right because Khushi leaving was his fault and her absence was his punishment for his irrational behavior.

As the car moved, they passed by the temple and Arnav looked at it and closed his eyes.

"Khushi believes in you even if I don't...... I don't know if you exist but if you do then please bring back my love soon so that I can make it up to her. " Arnav said a silent prayer as the car moved towards their destination with the Raizada women  wallowing in their own guilt.

Delhi Police Station.

Shyam was pacing back and forth in his cell after he was brought there a few minutes ago.

He stopped and moved to the bars and held it in a tight grip with bloodshot eyes.

"Payal..... Akash..... You will both pay very dearly for this.... That I promise you...... I will make you pay. " He uttered in anger.
