Sorry for the late update and please ignore any mistakes seen.

Lavanya and Nk arrived only to meet Surbhi and Manoj sitting on the huge couch in the hall with teasing smiles on their faces.

Nk rolled his eyes knowing they were teasing him because he went out with Lavanya who looked down embarrassed.

The parent might have thought it was a date but he just accompanied Lavanya to the cafe to meet with a private detective she hired a few weeks ago.

Flashback.

Lavanya was pacing back and forth in the hallway nervously.

Nk who had just come out of Khushi's room after helping Payal take care of her frown seeing the worry etched on her face.

"Lavanya!? " He called out and Lavanya jerked in fright. "Am sorry for scaring you....... But are you okay. " Nk asked in concern and Lavanya hesitate but told him the truth.

"Please seat....... " She said and Nk sat down with her. "Few weeks ago before my so-called wedding..... I overheard my parent arguing and ease dropped on their conversation and discovered a shocking secret...... You see my grand uncle who is very rich but never married or had children and he was dying of a deadly and incurable tumor so he put forth a condition in his will that the nephew who gives birth to a son first will inherit everything which only my father knew....... My father was overjoyed since among his two cousins and their wives my mother was the first one pregnant and he was hoping for a son but ended up with me....... He was furious when I was born and he and my mother hated me since and because of my birth my mother couldn't conceive again..... Two years later she and my father hatched a plan to make my mother pretend to be pregnant and hire a woman for my father to sleep with and get pregnant and when she gives birth to a son she will be paid and they knew it had to be fast because my uncle's wife was pregnant with her first child and they were afraid it will be a boy....... Everything went smoothly until that woman gave birth to a girl and my parent got angry and abandoned  her and the child...... My parent made everyone believe the child was still born and few weeks after that incident my uncle's wife had a son and a month after that my grand uncle died and all the property went to him....... I was shocked but happy that I had a little sister out there....... So I hired a private detective to find her and a few minutes ago he called me to meet up since he has good news for me........ But with Khushi's condition and the media outside I just can't leave like that..... It won't be right. " Lavanya revealed and shocking Nk who knew she might have had a difficult childhood because of her parent.

He thought for sometime and stood up and rushed upstairs and come back after a few minutes with his car keys.

"Come on let's go. " Nk said.

"But what about Khushi and Payal? " Lavanya asked.

"Don't worry....... I told her you needed to do something important and she understands and beside maa is here to help so come on and no more questions. " Nk replied and Lavanya smiled and followed him to the garage and into his car as they speed off put of the gates to flashes of cameras.

Lavanya then showed him the cafe and within a few minutes there were there and saw the man waiting for them.

They sat down with him and the man looked confused seeing Nk.

"Who is he? " The man and Lavanya looked confused on how to introduce Nk.

"He is...... He is...... He is my fr..... "

"Am her husband NK Mehta and I know the reason we are here so go ahead. " Nk said cutting Lavanya off and surprising her.

The man nodded and sighed.

"I was able to find the woman and there is good news and bad news...... The bad news is I found your sister but she didn't have a good relationship with her mother....... According to neighbors...... She was very abusive to her and when she was twelve years old........ Her mother died and a kind neighbor took her in since they had no relative........ She lived with her until she also passed away of a heart attack when your sister was in her second year in college. " The man revealed shocking Nk and Lavanya who was on the verge of crying knowing exactly why her baby sister was maltreated.
"The good news is...... I found the college she attended and it's a famous college in Delhi and in the next twenty four hours I will be able to find out what she looks like and that will make out search easy because I tried social media and a lot of people with the same name popped up........ So finding her picture from the college will help us narrow the search down. "

Lavanya smiled hearing she was close to finding her sister and thanked the detective.

"So..... What's her name.? " Lavanya asked enthusiastically.

"Preeto...... Preeto Malhotra. " The detective replied and both were shocked hearing the name but brushed it of thinking that it can't be the Preeto they know.

"Okay then...... I will take my leave now........ The fast I work the faster you get your results. " The detective said and left after shaking their hand.

Nk and Lavanya also moved out into his car and the drove back home.

Flashback ends.

Surbhi asked them to sit and called HP to bring them tea.

"So where did you two go. " Surbhi asked and Lavanya knew there was no need to hide the truth from good people like them.

She proceeded and told them everything not leaving anything out and the Mehras were shocked and finally understood Lavanya past attitude was because of her parent.

"What is the world heading to ........ Just for money people are destroying the lives of others and their own children...... It's good you went away from toxic people like them my dear. " Manoj said to Lavanya who nodded.

Surbhi moved away from her husband to Lavanya's side and cupped her face.

"We are your family now and whether you and Nk end up together or not...... You will always have a mother in me and a father in Manoj...... So don't you ever hesitate to come to us if you need anything....... Understood. " Surbhi said and Lavanya nodded with tears cascading down her cheeks.

She then hugged her and cried as Surbhi stroked her hair calming her down.

Lavanya then broke the hug and wiped her tears.

"Thank you so much...... I will definitely come to both of you if I need anything. "

Immediately Lavanya was done Preeto barged in jerking all of them.

She stopped seeing them looking at her and Lavanya stood up and moved closer to Preeto who looked at her and she immediately got mad seeing the tears in her eyes.

Preeto rushed out of there in tears confusing them and they all turned to glare at Aman for answers.

"Aman...... What did you do to her? " Lavanya asked angrily surprising her and the others.

"She saw some very bad people related to her past...... That's why she reacting that way. " Aman revealed looking at them in particular Lavanya who looked towards the stairs.

"They say blood is thicker than water and it's absolutely true become of the way Lavanya behaved seeing Preeto in tears....... How will both react if they found out they are half sisters. " Aman thought looking at Lavanya not knowing someone was throwing daggers at him for ogling at his wife.

Nk fumed seeing Aman looking at Lavanya and this didn't go unnoticed by his parent who smirking seeing the jealousy in his eyes.

"Nk..... Can I speak to you, Akash and Arnav....... It's very important. " Aman said and Nk nodded but looked at him angrily which confused Lavanya and Aman seeing him behave that way but his parent knew better.

The two went upstairs to the study of Arnav and asked HP to call Akash and Arnav to the study.

Arnav and Akash entered the study only to find Nk glaring at Aman who was lost in thought.

"Aman...... Why did you call us here? " Arnav asked breaking his reverie and he sighed and asked them to sit.

"I found out something about Preeto tonight and since she is like a sister to your wives..... I thought to share it with you all since it's important. " Aman said and they all looked at him confused and curious especially Nk.

"Okay but what has that got to do with Lavanya? " Nk asked because he knew they didn't know each other much.

"Nk....... It has everything to do with Lavanya especially........ Because Preeto is her half sister. " Aman revealed shocking all of them especially Arnav and Akash. "We just finished our dinner when Mr and Mrs Kashyap walked in and she immediately got angry seeing them and that was when I discovered Mr Kashyap knew and was more surprised seeing the neutral look on Mrs Kashyap's face and I immediately realized she also knew........ On our way I asked her how she knew them and she told me how Mr Kashyap used her mother and her to get property from her grand uncle but he didn't become he wanted the property to be passed on to his grand nephew but she was born a girl and so Mr Kashyap abandoned her and her mother......... Wh"

"Who maltreated her because she was a born a girl. " Nk concluded shocking them.

"Wait Lavanya know!? " Akash asked in shock.

"Yes and no. " Nk replied and told them everything.

This shocked them all and they sat down not knowing what to do.

"I think we must tell them. " Akash suggested.

"But not know....... " Nk said surprising all of them. "We will do it tomorrow after you and Khushi bhabhi comes back and do tell on your way back and Akash you also tell Payal tomorrow in secret...... I will also speak to mum and Dad...... Aman, you also come here  tomorrow .... We all have to be prepared to support them emotionally because we don't know how  this will end. " Nk said and they all went to their respective rooms and Aman went home after being told Preeto is asleep.

The Next Day.

Garima and pacing back and forth in her cell in anger because no lawyer was willing to represent her and on top of that she didn't have the money to hire one.

She gripped the bars and shook it in frustration while hyperventilating and closed her eyes to calm herself down.

After a minute she felt a presence and opened her eyes only to find Khushi and Arnav standing in front of her.

She smirked seeing her but Khushi kept a neutral face which confused Garima because she thought after finding out about her parent she will break down and confront her with yelling and tears and she will rub salt to her injury but it's not as she had expected but she wasn't going to give up on hurting Khushi.

Only if she knew she will be the one hurting and not Khushi.

"Well..... Well..... Well...... My dear little daughter is here....... How do you feel knowing you gave the title of a mother to the woman who killed your parent and made you an orphan? " Garima said with an evil smirk on her face.

"I feel pity. " Garima smirked wider hearing this but it dropped hearing her next words. "Pity not for me but for you. " This shocked her and she looked at Khushi as if she was a ghost. "And do you want to know why? " Khushi said with her arms crossed. "I will tell you why....... You thought you separated my parent by killing them but you brought them closer in a place where you evilness won't reach them......... You used buaji to hurt me but still here I stand stronger than I have ever been....... You tried so many times to hurt me and made my life miserable but failed....... I gave you the status of a mother and you belittled it and abused it........ I love you with a clean heart but you hated me for the mere reason of being the symbol of  the love of my parent..... You destroyed so many lives in your obsession. " Khushi said

"Just shut up. " Garima yelled hearing this. "It wasn't an obsession it was love...... You hear me..... I love Aahan. " She cried out.

"No it was never love but obsession because if you really loved him then you would have wanted his happiness even if it wasn't with you........ You were just obsessed and your obsession made you kill them but they will live forever because their blood runs through me......... My children will carry on with their blood and so will their children and children to come....... Aahan and Shreya will never disappear but you...... You Garima will disappear forever...... Your death will end your filthy blood line for good....... While my parent will live forever and remembered forever......... You could have had a better life after escaping...... You could have had children and a loving husband but Devi maiya punished you and made you barren because of your sins....... I pity you Garima Mehta........ And thank you for coming into my life even if you snatched my parent away from me....... They gave me babuji and jiji but you are all alone........ In the end I won Garima Mehta and you lost me, jiji, buaji and babuji....... Thanks to you, I have a loving husband. " A shocked Garima looked up and that's when she  saw the mangalastra on her neck and a ring on her finger and her partition filled. "A son and a new found family....... I am now complete but you are empty...... Goodbye Garima Mehta....... And may you rot in hell for all eternity. " Khushi said and Arnav held her hand and they both walked out of there.

Garima slided to the ground in tears as the words of Khushi rang in her ears.

"I lost...... I lost it all...... " She kept on chanting as her voice faded into oblivion.

Khushi and Arnav got to the exit of the cell house and saw Aditya who moved closer to them.

"Do you want to speak to your sister?." He asked.

"No I don't....... I have no relationship with her anymore and don't care what happens to her. " Immediately Arnav was done speaking a scream was heard and Arnav knew it was his sister.

They all moved to the her cell and saw her hyperventilating and scratching herself on the floor.

Behaving like a lunatic and the police women moved closer to her and restrained her from hurting herself.

"My brain is melting in my head...... Help me..... Please help me. " She chanted while hyperventilating.

"Sir she is burning with fever. " One of the police women said and Aditya commanded for an ambulance to be called.

A few minutes later it entered the police station and a hysterical Anjali was put into it.

Aditya was shocked seeing Arnav not showing any form of emotion but Khushi understood he had lost all emotions for his sister.

Arnav turned to Aditya and looked at him sternly.

"She is a con artist and you better have her guarded twenty four seven or else she will escape and if she does..... I won't spare you. " Arnav threatened in a deadly tone making Aditya gulp in fear.

Arnav then moved out with Khushi and into his car as they drove out of the police station.

A few meters to RM, Arnav stopped the car at a bus stop which confused Khushi.

"There is something of need to tell you before we get home. " Arnav said.

"What is it? " Khushi asked and Arnav proceeded and told her everything he discovered yesterday and she sat shocked.
