Anjali was eating her food but frown not hearing the commotion she had associated to the arrival of Aarav's grandparent.

She stood up and went to hall and was shocked seeing the scene in front of her.

"Look at my boys..... You two have grown so big..... I can see my bahu here is taking good care of the house. " The lady who was side hugging Payal said and Payal blushed at the praise.
"And who is this beautiful lady. " The woman asked as she moved away from Payal and closer to Lavanya who smiled nervously knowing the woman was her mother in law.

Everyone became nervous seeing this but the lady and her husband were so engulfed in their curiosity that they failed to the nervousness on the faces of their son and nephews and the others.

"Am Lavanya. " The tension in the hall increased. "Am the assistant of Mr Mehra. " Lavanya said and the woman smiled at her but turned and frown at Nk who gulped seeing her frown.

"Nandkishore." The woman called out and Nk groan in annoyance because he hated being called Nandkishore. "How could you take this delicate flower as your assistant to that goddamned  jungle. " The woman scolded.

"Mom..... Lavanya is my new assistant here.... And as for my wildlife project..... It's over. " Nk revealed and the woman squealed and moved over to him and hugged and kissed him all over his face. "Mom stop it...... Am no longer a baby. " Nk voiced out annoyed and the others giggled at this.

"Shut up boy...... You will always be my baby even if you are hundred years old. " The woman said and Nk sighed in defeat knowing she will never stop.

Payal called Hari Prakash to take their luggage to the guest room as they sat down with them.

The couple are the parent of Nk, Manoj Mehra and Surbhi Mehra.

The couple were chatting with the boys and Payal and Lavanya when Aarav with his bag on his back and Khushav holding his hand arrived and looked confused at the couple.

Arnav called Aarav over as Akash picked up Khushav and placed him on his lap.

"Papa.... Who are they? " Aarav's whispered to Arnav but enough for everyone to hear and they all chuckled.

"This man here is your uncle Nk. " Arnav said and Aarav's gasped and looked at his father.

"The one who sends me those cool animal magazines!? " Aarav said and Arnav nodded and he waved at Nk.

"And the lady beside her is Lavanya..... She is your uncle's assistant. " Aarav waved at Lavanya who was shocked that Arnav had a son but she composed herself and waved back. "And do you remember your grandmother and grandfather whom I told you were living in Australia. " Arnav asked.

"Yes.... They ones that always send me gifts. " Aarav replied enthusiastically.

"They are your grandma Surbhi and grandpa Manoj. " Arnav introduced and Aarav got of his lap and rushed and hugged them.

Surbhi then picked him up and made him sit on his lap.

"Grandma.... Grandpa...... Why didn't you come to my birthday parties. " Aarav asked as he had never seen them before but always got their gifts.

"We wanted to my boy..... But your grandma was very sick and so we had to stay in Australia but now she is completely healed and we are here to stay in India permanently. " Manoj replied seeing the look of concern on Aarav's face.

This news shocked everyone even though they were happy, they were also nervous about Nk and Lavanya's situation.

Khushav seeing Aarav on the lap of Surbhi wiggled off his father's lap and moved closer to Surbhi who picked him up and place him on her lap.

Everyone was in awe at the scene as both boys were engulfed in playing with Surbhi long and glossy hair.

Nani and Mami were sad about the ignorance they were receiving from Manoj and Surbhi.

Mami had always been jealous of her younger sister's relationship with Akash as they were more of a mother and son than aunt and nephew.

"Why are you ignoring me Su? " Mami asked sadly and everyone knew they was about to be a confrontation seeing the scowl on Surbhi's face.

Arnav called Hari Prakash and asked him to take the kids upstairs.

After they disappeared Surbhi looked at her sister in anger.

"I don't condone people whose only aim is to cause misery to the people I love..... You have always been the reason of Akash's pain.... I have loved him and Arnav as equally as my son but you only used him and Manohar as your meal ticket..... You cared more about materialistic thing than your own son..... You and aunt support her. " Pointing to Anjali. " In her destructive behavior...... And you have the nerve to ask me why am ignoring you...... Just because we were in Australia, that doesn't mean we didn't know what was going on here in India..... So please..... I and my husband are here for my nephews, son, bahu and grandsons only..... So please stay away from us because I don't want to hurt your three with my words. " Surbhi said sternly and Nani and Mami looked down in shame.

Anjali rolled her eyes at Surbhi which didn't go unnoticed by the youngsters.

"So I heard about your new project...... Which company are you collaborating with this year. " Manoj asked breaking the tension in the hall.

"A&A Designs of Australia. " Akash revealed but looked confused just like the others seeing the shock on the faces of Manoj and Surbhi. "Why?..... Is there something bad about the company we should know? " Akash asked.

"No dear..... It's just that.... The owner of the company is the reason why Manoj's cousin disappeared without a trace. " Surbhi revealed shocking everyone.

"Wait..... Does that mean Mr Adarsh Gupta is my uncle?" Nk asked and his mother nodded shocking Nk and the others. "I have worked for him before and you both knew and never told me. " Nk said disappointed and his parent felt it.

"He stop being family to us a long time ago..... He and my late uncle were the reason your other uncle had to leave and we don't know where he is. " Manoj said in sadness remembering his big brother.

"Papa....Am confused..... What did he and your uncle do to separate you from your other cousin. " Nk asked and his father sighed knowing it's about time his son knew of the family secrets which he had hid from him.

"You already know your grandparent died in a car accident right. " Nk nodded. "Well after they died I was devastated and my uncle the older brother of your grandmother took me in because your grandfather's family said I was a bad omen for killing their son..... He had two son.... Aahan and Adarsh..... Adarsh was very protective and possessive of Aahan and hated sharing him with anyone..... For the two months I was with them, Adarsh was always hostile towards me because of how close I was to Aahan..... It took a lot of convincing from Aahan for him to let his guard down a little...... We three become inseparable afterwards. " Manoj smiled remembering the good old days and continued. "Years later my uncle decided to retire and hand over the company to Aahan but he wanted nothing to do with it because he had always dreamed of becoming a policeman and this lead to a fall out between them.... When Aahan was twenty one years old, a marriage proposal was brought to him but the bride pulled out before the engagement...... For the next three years it will go on like that as all the women who were supposed to marry Aahan rejected the proposal at the last minute..... Aahan thought he was cursed but we later found out Adarsh has been scaring them away by blackmailing the family or the bride because he didn't want to share his brother with any woman. " Manoj said and everyone was shocked.

"OMG..... How selfish of him. " Nk said in disappointment because he knew Adarsh to be a good man but this has changed his perception of him.

"True..... Well Aahan was furious and never spoke to him for three months..... He took over the design company of his father and that was when he met Shreya..... It was love at first sight for them and they started dating afterwards..... I was the only one who knew about it until it was time to for Aahan to introduce her to the family..... To our surprise Adarsh was welcoming of her but my uncle didn't like it because she was from a middle class family but he had to give in because of my aunt..... So the date for the marriage was set and the engagement went well and we were all looking forward to the marriage but after the engagement Adarsh started distancing himself from Shreya but we didn't take it seriously..... On the marriage day, Adarsh striked again when he barged in and stopped the wedding claiming he had tested Shreya to see if she was a gold digger and she fell for it..... According to him, Shreya called him saying she wanted a million dollars and will leave Aahan and she did take the money but didn't leave Aahan..... And he come to the wedding with papers showing a transaction to an account in the name of Shreya..... I and Aahan and aunt didn't believe him but uncle did and when Aahan was asked to stop the wedding he didn't...... Uncle then asked him to choose between the family and Shreya and Aahan chose Shreya..... Uncle disowned him because of that and he took aunt's blessing and left the marriage hall never to be heard of again. " Manoj said with a misty eyes and Surbhi held his hand knowing how touchy the subject was to him and he continued.

"Aunt couldn't take the division and fell ill afterwards..... She died five months after Aahan and Shreya disappeared and I left the house after her funeral..... Uncle couldn't take the fact that his wife died with anger in her heart for him so he passed away in his sleep of heart attack two months after aunt died and I have never spoken to Adarsh since even though he tried many times to talk to me but I warned him to stay away form me and my family. " Manoj ended and everyone felt sorry for him and angry at Adarsh.

"Bhai..... I have made up my mind..... After the show..... We will cut all ties with him and convince Khushi and Preeto to leave the company...... I can't have them working with a man like him whose jealousy destroyed his own family. " Akash said and Arnav shook his head making Akash confused.

"Akash..... I know you are angry and so am I but Khushi and Preeto love their jobs and taking that away from them means taking a part of their lives aways
from them..... Yes he is a horrible person for what he did but cutting ties with him will cost the jobs of his workers and it will be unfair to punish Khushi, Preeto and his workers for that. " Arnav explained and they all knew his was right.

"Wait..... This Khushi you are talking about..... Is she Arnav's Khushi? " Surbhi asked curiously and Arnav blushed and Surbhi smiled. "She is. " She squealed in happiness. "After all she is the only one powerful enough to make the great ASR blush just hearing her name. " Surbhi teased wiggling her eyebrows and everyone laughed and Arnav widen his eyes in shock and embarrassment but Anjali was fuming in anger but convinced herself this was going to end bad for Arnav.

"So what are we going to do about Adarsh and uncle Aahan. " Nk asked looking at his father.

"Well with Adarsh.... I want all of your to be professional with him but don't let him be personal with you..... And as for Aahan bhai..... My PI has traced him to India and he is still investigating...... That's one of the reasons we are here in India. " Manoj revealed.

"I hope the PI find uncle Aahan..... And maybe I will have more cousins who are as crazy and fun as me be unlike these  Mr always anger to your nose and Mr four eyes here. " Nk said making fun of Arnav and Akash who glared at him and he glared back at them.

Everyone with the exception of Anjali burst out in laughter seeing the exchange.

"Oh my God..... Look at the time..... It's so late...... Now you all get to work...... In fact....... We are coming with all of you. " Manoj said shocking them but they agreed.

They waited for Manoj and Surbhi to change and join them and they were all moving to the cars when Surbhi stopped and looked around.

"Where is Lavanya? " She asked and immediately she asked Lavanya came down all dressed up shocking the others.
"Oh my..... You are looking so beautiful my dear...... All the men at AR will be so mesmerized seeing you. " Surbhi said and Nk marched up to them and pulled Lavanya by the waist shocking everyone.

"Lav..... You are to stay by my side all the time..... Understood. " Nk said possessively to Lavanya shocking her and everyone.

He then dragged her to his car leaving the others with their jaws hanging.

"Can you feel the love. " Surbhi whispered to Manoj but enough for everyone to hear.

"Oh..... I think our boy is falling in love with his assistant. " Manoj snickered and Surbhi nodded.

"I like her....... But I feel she is letting something hold her back.... I feel she has a horrible past which is holding her back or something that bothering her. " Surbhi said in a serious and concerned tone.

"If you feel that way then I believe you..... I just hope it won't hurt our son. " Manoj said and moved to his car leaving the others with mixed emotions.

Payal and the kids left with Manoj and Surbhi in one of the cars and Arnav and Akash left in another.

They all moved out of the mansion and on their way Arnav and Akash were both lost in thought.

"We have to tell uncle and aunt the truth...... I feel bad hiding it from them." Akash said.

"We have to talk to Nk and fix his mess...... But I will never trust Lavanya no matter how sincere she is. " Arnav said and Akash sighed as he drove on.

After a few minutes Akash smiled remembering what he saw yesterday.

"I see you and Khushi are getting along really well..... I just hope you ask her out on a date because no woman will just kiss a man if she doesn't have feelings for especially a woman like Khushi. " Akash said and Arnav stepped on the brakes jerking them forward and backwards shocking. "Bhai..... What the hell? " Akash yelled at Arnav who looked at him in shock.

"You.... You.... You saw Khushi kiss me? " Arnav stuttered and Akash nodded.

"I was on my way to bathroom when I saw her kiss you on the cheek so I excused myself out of there. " Akash revealed.

"So she tricked me not bad Miss Gupta. " Arnav said with a smile and admiration.

"What did she do? " Akash asked curiously and Arnav told him about how Khushi kissed him in the office and at the restaurant and made him believe he was hallucinating.

Akash burst out in laughter making Arnav frown.

"OMG..... Bhai you have finally met your match...... I have to congratulate and award my baby sister for outsmarting the great ASR. " Akash said and laughed his ass off and Arnav started the car and drove towards AR as Akash kept on  laughing.

"So Miss Gupta..... You did kiss me and made me believe I was going crazy..... Get ready because it's now my turn. " Arnav thought and smirked.
