Author note: ok. So this is more of an idea that came at 3 in the morning than anything else. It's not even a prologue. If anything, it's more of a concept of what a how to train your dragon story from me would look like. Since a chapter like this would be more on the tail end of the first arc. Since those from the mechanic know that, i like to show everything that happened after the main character is betrayed, lol

Story name: the exiled one

Story description:they exiled him for being different. They exiled him for daring to be ambitious, and they exiled him to find another solution to their problem. Well, if they don't want to listen to him, why should he care what disgrace he causes to the last name Haddock.

Shipping: hiccup X mala or hiccup x mirabel madrigal. Like I said, this is more of a concept than anything else. So I'm undecided about the shipping

At the sea

* There wasn't a cloud in the sky, the air smelled crisp and the sun was on its highest peak. It was a beautiful day for being the captain of a ship. Or it would be, if a certain prisoner of the ship wasn't interrupting his quiet midday, the ship captain sighed as he got up from his bed and left his quarters. There in front of him In separate cages were the group of barbarians he captured with his crew.  While some resigned to their fates. One of them, a blonde in her mid 20's is still screaming and kicking the cage door in hopes of opening it.*

Halle: This is the thanks I get? I feed you a lot. I let you take fresh air, and yet. All you do is scream and complain. Give it a rest, will yah

Astrid: When I get out of here, I'm gonna kill you all and shoe your decapitated head on a stick in front of your wiping mother!

*Astrid yelled, acting like a ravenous, rabies infested animal. The rest gave the girl knowing better than to try to calm her down. Snotlout tried it and received a knockout punch for it. The boy is still on the ground since getting him would mean getting close to the furious viking woman. The captain of the ship rolled his eyes unamused, unaware that his second in command was coming running to his side.*

Halle: Sure, you will, sweethearts. Man, I can't imagine anyone paying much for this one. She's far too opinionated

Kare: Sir. It would appear we have guests of the dragon variety

*kare said, making Halle and the vikings of berk eyes widen as they looked around but saw nothing. But they could feel the change of the atmosphere. Something was wrong, and now that Astrid was quiet, they could sense it. Halle frowned but remained calm, cool, and collected, showing all the signs of the leader.*

Halle: Is it him?

Kare: I believe so, yes.

*kare said with a worried expression, as they knew this was a possibility. They heard the rumors of what taxes will have to be paid to sail these waters. Since the waters were protected by the mythic dragon master. That myth turned into reality when the dreaded figure appeared in their ship, being ridden by his dragon the last of the night furries. Hiccup climbed down, walking up to the captain, with the confidence as if this was his ship.*

Hiccup: Hello there. May I say this is some ship you've got here.

Halle:.... thank you. Are you him? The dragon master who I was warned about?

*Halle asked with a careful tone in his words, as if he one wrong word could be his doom, which it kinda was, hearing the growl of the dragon from behind him. The prisoners of berk looked at the dragon master who's been a pain on their side for a very specific reason. Because all the collateral damage this dragon master has caused berk had to pay. Hiccup took off his helmet and showed the world why berk had to pay because the dragon master was the responsibility of berk.*

Hiccup: Yes. But please. Dragon master is for my enemies. And for the moment, we aren't that. So call me by my real name. Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III

Astrid and the rest of the prisoners: Hiccup!!

* The prisoners of berk yelled to get his attention. He turned his head and looked at who screamed his name in such a hateful tone, imagine his surprise when he saw his old classmates. Hiccup put on a bright happy smile and walked to their cages, acting as if this was a casual reunion between friends, when it was anything but*

Hiccup: Hmm? My oh my. Ain't this a blast from the past. My old tormentors. What's it been? 5, 6, 7, years? Ah, no, no. It's been 10 years, right?

Halle: You know these people?

*Halle asked, surprised, as hiccup looked at Halle then back at his old classmates, giving them a small wave, as if he was seeing them behind a wall at a zoo. When hiccup spoke, his tone was so whimsical and innocent, even if his words betrayed his emotions. When speaking about that hellhole, that is his old island.*

Hiccup: I was born in their backwater of an island. It's not important anymore, I guess. So! I bet you're wondering why I decided to grace you with my presence.

Halle: I can take a guess. You want to make sure their no dragons on this ship

*Halle said, as hiccup returned his attention to the captain, completely ignoring the prisoners, to the point that he can't even hear their screams for him, though that would also be because, the Guards are poking them with sharp sticks for them to shut up, while the captain is speaking. Hiccup returned his gaze to Halle, with his smile never leaving that innocent expression he had, since why shouldn't it? Hiccup was the one in control of the entire situation.*

Hiccup: That won't be a problem now, Will it? If you have nothing to hide, I'll leave, and you'll continue to do whatever it is you were doing. Of course, if they're dragons underdeck, seeing how you all are inching your hands to your weapons, I see that they are. Well. I wouldn't like that all that much.

Halle: So what? Do you think we're gonna be scared just because you got a night furry?

*Halle said with a laugh that was all bluff and just to inspire confidence on his crewmates. The crew heard and sw started laughing, while others took out their weapons and started walking towards the large creature. While toothless. He didn't react. He even spinned in the ground a few times and took a fake nap to insult them. Hiccup chuckled softly as he shook his head at the captain.*

Hiccup; what? Do you mean toothless? No. Of course not. He's a sweetheart. Aren't you, buddy? No. No. I believe you're gonna be scared from the 3 Shellfires I have swimming around this ship, just waiting for my signal.

Halle: Your bluffing.

*Halle said with his eyes squinting. Hiccup just smirked, as he took a small dagger from his pocket and tossed it back to the ocean, they heard the dagger fall into it, and then the ship started to tremble something awful, it was so strong that many fell to the ground, while hiccup remained standing as on 3 different directions, they all saw the dreaded beasts of the ocean, trapping the ship in a sort of triangle formation. Halle looked up at Hiccup shock, while hiccup kept looking at him with a calm smile. They saw one of the shellfires shoot it's ball of flames at the berk ship to show what would happen if they didn't comply.*

Hiccup: Am I? Am I really? So! Here's what gonna happen. You're gonna let the dragons go. And after my brother over here makes sure that no more dragons are in this ship. You'll be free to go.

Halle: What about them?

*Halle asked, looking at the prisoners he captured in the latest raid. Hiccup looked at where Halle was looking at him, and he shrugged in an uncaring fashion, which made the people of berk more furious with him. Well. It made Astrid more furious. The rest knew not to expect anything from hiccup. Hiccup spoke in sort of an amused tone behind his words.*

Hiccup: What about them?

Halle: their from the island you were born in. Surely you'll want them free too, right?

*Halle asked, thinking he must have some sort of loyalty for his people. But hiccup lost that 10 years ago when they chose their pride over their heir. So hiccup has no loyalty to give since they haven't been his people in a decade. So let this pirate sell them of, after all, it would be rude to leave this business man with nothing to sell.*

Hiccup: Hmm... as tempting as it it, to have them be saved by their exiled heir. Nah. I don't care about them. Sell them for all i care. I'm just here for the dragons

Snotlout: What?! Hiccup! Don't you dare leave us here!!

*snotlout who just woke up said, furious that his cousin was gonna leave them here to die. Hiccup took one of the sticks and jammed it on snotlout shoulder hard. Not enough for it to bleed, but enough for it to hurt a lot. He then looked down at the cousin who made his life hell,  the cousin that his disgrace of a father wanted hiccup to become like. What a joke. But hiccup gave him a smug smile seeing his hateful expression towards him.*

Hiccup: uhu. And what exactly are you gonna do if I don't help you? Chances are I'll never see any of you ever again, and that works fine by me. Also, Halle. Why are you still standing there? Tell your men to release the dragons. Before I lose my patience

Halle: R... Right! Release the dragons!! All of you! Don't just stand there! Release the bloodied beasts!

*Halle said as he left with his men to free the dragons. He flinched when he saw the night fury the dragon master came with, following after them to make sure that all the dragons were really released. Halle gulped, but he let it happen, since what's he's gonna do, tell it that it can't come? No thanks, Halle chooses life. Once the people born in berk were left alone, hiccup looked at them, leaning on the stick, as if it was a cane.*

Hiccup: Lovely. Well. As lovely as it was to have this little reuinion. I've gotta go. Unless you all can make it worth my while to stay.

Fishlegs: What do you want?

*fishlegs said, before Astrid could say something insulting, since now was not the time for that, hiccup was literally their only mode of salvation. Hiccup gave a cheshire cat type of smile to the larger man. Seriously, what did he eat? He was almost 3 times the size he was the last time hiccup saw him. But he shook his head at fishlegs.*

Hiccup: Now that's not how this works. No. You all have to give me a reason to buy your freedom.

Astrid: we don't need your help.

*Astrid said her tone laced with genuine hatred, as she even spat at him. Hiccup remained calmed as he cleaned the wet spot on his face and looked back at Astrid with bored eyes behind his gaze at his first crush. God, what a mistake that was. But to be fair, it was either Astrid of ruffnut since everyone else was either too young or too old on that island, given that anyone else was killed by their fight against dragons. Hiccup spoke slowly so someone as stupid could understand the situation she was in.*

Hiccup: Really? Cause it kinda looks like I'm your last hope of freedom. In fact. I'll be generous. Hey you!

Erika: Ye..yes sir?

*one of the guards for the prisoner said nervously, since pretty much everybody got scared by the flex that hiccup did to bring 3 almost mountain size dragons to threaten them. Hiccup pointed to fishlegs on the cage, making the larger man flinch confused as to why he pointed at him. But what hiccup said next shocked everyone in the cage.*

Hiccup: How much for that one? The fat one.

Erika: You want to buy him?

*Erika said, surprised that hiccup was not just demanding for their freedom. But of course, this was just another flex. To show those from berk that he has the power of dragons and the power gold on his side. Hiccup nodded at the woman, looking slightly annoyed that he had to repeat himself.*

Hiccup: That's why I asked, isn't it? The rest can rot for all I care. But fishlegs were at least kind, and we did share some moments in the library, talking about this and that. I feel like that's good enough to get his freedom

Erika: I'll, uh... go ask the captain.

*Erika said nervously as she ran to find the captain to ask for a number for  Hiccup to pay. It didn't matter the price, but Hiccup would pay it without blinking twice. Fishlegs looked around at his friends and then at hiccup, surprised that he was buying his freedom just like that, when what hiccup said happened only a handful of times. But this was more to send a message than helping the fat 25 year old viking.*

Fishlegs: Uh. Thanks, hiccup.

Hiccup: Don't mention it. Since you really only need 1 person to send a message.

*Hiccup said as if he was saying it to himself. Fishlegs looked nervously at the dragons swimming on the ocean around them. Something told Fishlegs he didn't really have a choice in the matter. Giving this message was now the highest of his priorities.*

Fishlegs: And what's the message?

Hiccup: Tell that excuse of a leader of yours to drop that bounty he has on me, or else I'll have to respond in kind. And trust me. You don't want my forces on your island.

*Hiccup said with a tone that left no room for negotiations. He was getting tired of all the bounty hunters who thought they were hot shit and could take down an emperor like himself, not to mention with his wife about to give labor, it's about time for him to tell his father to stop with these petty attempts to make him pay for his crimes. Hiccup isn't gonna do that. Fishlegs gave an unsure nod, not wanting to keep this conversation going, but knowing that he had to.*

Fishlegs: I'm almost afraid to ask. But what do you mean in kind?

Hiccup: You've seen those dragons in the ocean? Yeah. I have bigger. Stronger dragons that I can use to turn your island into a smooth rock so that nothing can grow again. Tell that chieftain of his that if I could kill Drago Bludvist and take over his empire, I can kill him too.

*Hiccup said as he took his sword and activated it, turning it into a burning sword, for no other reason than to flex on these people. Fishlegs just nodded terrified since hiccup pointed the flaming sword at him, while in the background, the twins were having a morbid chuckle about the sword being the only thing that would burn off fishlegs's fat. But before hiccup could continue, the guard from before came running in, staying a safe distance from the sword, as she spoke.*

Erika: Uh, he says xxx

Hiccup: done. Open his gate.

* Hiccup said, grabbing a small pouch from his bag and throwing it at the feet of the pirate. Erika took it and looked inside, seeing more than enough to cover the price for the fat man. Hell. To cover the price for everybody's freedom. But Erika won't be doing that and would be pocketing the difference. After all, she is a pirate. Erika opened the door and let fishlegs out. Fishlegs got out and just looked uncomfortable, since what the hell was he supposed to do now? Well. Astrid made it known what she wanted to do with his now freedom.*

Astrid: fishlegs, hurry up and help us!

Hiccup: ok. How exactly is he gonna help you?  I'm genuinely curious about that.

*Hiccup said with a loud chuckle as he turned off the flames and put the sword on its hilt. Astrid looked at the man with nothing but hatred behind her eyes, this man who had nearly bankrupted berk to its knees dared to act superior to them. She got as close as she could to hiccup, wanting to make sure he gets the message.*

Astrid: Shut the fuck up, before I make you.

Hiccup: Oh, I'm quacking in my boots. Please. Fishlegs.

* Hiccup said in a loud tone to get his attention. Fishlegs flinched and looked at the man, who was looking back at him, fishlegs kinda wishes he was back in the cage, at least there he was more safe than the outside with the dragon master aka hiccup there.*

Fishlegs: y...yes?

Hiccup: I'm not gonna tell you what to do. But making a deal with the captain to travel to berk might be your best shot.

Fishlegs: Uh, right. Thanks

*fishlegs said as he started taking a few steps back away from Hiccup. Hiccup looked up at the sky and smiled, seeing all the dragons flying free. One of the Shellfires separated from the group and swam with the flying dragons to be their guide to safety. The captain of the ship walked out from the bottom and walked up next to hiccup.*

Halle: there. All the dragons have been released. Your Uh... brother. Made sure of that. Did not appreciate that he was right behind me at all times

Hiccup: Don't care. Well. I got what I wanted. I'm gonna leave. And fishlegs. Don't forget the message

*Hiccup said as he walked to toothless and climbed on. He whistled loudly, and the other two hellfires returned to the deep of the ocean while hiccup put back his helmet and flew off with toothless, leaving the vikings of berk to whatever their fate will be.*
