Welcome to stories of the zoo.
These stories are the tales and history from my local zoo over the years. These stories are about the animals and the site itself. How's it have change it's design, treatment of animals, animal they house and more.

The zoo in question is Bristol Zoo, or Bristol Zoological Gardens as it's rightly called.
Being the 5th oldest zoo in the world, Bristol zoo has a vast history that I would like to share.

I am affiliated with the zoo ONLY as a student and a volunteer. Nothing else. Many of these stories are public knowledge. And these stories are told to raise awareness for species in captivity and how zoos have evolved for the better over the years.

I gained more stories through my work with the local museum (Bristol museum and art gallery). Who the zoo has sent taxidermies animals, skeletons and feathers over its course of operation and continues to this day. (Mainly with feathers and insects). Stories in museums are also public knowledge and free for the public to know.
