Once there was a barn where a little boy and his mother collected eggs from the hens."Henry," said his mother, Mrs. Cook, "will you please finish gathering the eggs for me?"

"Yes, ma'am," replied Henry.

One day he was helping and accidentally snatched a little egg. His mother said, "Henry, this egg is too small. What do you do now?"

"Use it ourselves?" Henry guesses.

"No," Mrs. Cook said. "We'll give it back to the hen."

He put it back in the nest and the chicken cackled like she just laid it. Henry and his mom laughed at the crazy chicken.

A few months later, the egg that was too small hatched and out came two healthy baby chicks.

A/N: I was 10 when I wrote this, and my style was to try to surprise my teacher with my stories, so please forgive 10-year-old me for the inaccuracies. ;)
