Forest of Illusions
Coming into Mirkwood was like coming into a closed room.
The air at once got thicker, and red leaves hid the sun. While you were used to having air constantly flowing into my lungs, this was like a too-hot carven, and it got my head to hurt. I growled, pressing a slender hand to my forehead. Bilbo looked concernedly up at me, who hadn't left my side. "Skipre? are you alright?" I looked at him at the sound of my name before glancing forward to see the dwarves still moving, not noticing me in pain.
I took a deep breath and nodded, not wanting to worry little bilbo anymore. He didnt question anymore, but I could feel his gaze upon me from time to time. At one point, the path turns a corner. Thorin takes the lead saying, The path goes this way.
We all follow him, and as we do so, the path twists and turns over all sorts of terrain, such as bare ground, high ledges, fallen tree trunks, and more. The color palette used is very blue/gray and gloomy. Dwalin thumps the handle of his hammer on the ground to find the paving stones of the trail. This way, he says, and we follow him.
The pain in my head intestines, and I groan softly, trying to keep silent. Balin, walking in front of me, seems to notice this and gives me a concerned look over his shoulder. But I dont see his eyes, focusing on the path beneath my feet. Air. I need air.
I hear one of the dwarves say, and I start to look up for the sun to try and get some healing from it. But I can only see it glimpse through the canopy over our heads before we all suddenly stop abruptly. What's happening? one dwarf asks, and thorin walks up to Nori, asking, Keep moving. Nori, why have we stopped?
The dwarf points to the path in front of us, saying, The path...its disappeared!
this causes the dwarves to shout, Whats going on?
we are standing in front of a cliff, and there is no path ahead of us. I growl lowly as thorin orders us to look on. The Company wanders through the forest. The forest is beginning to affect them mentally, and they stagger about. Meanwhile, I moved to bilbo's side, sitting beside him.
I listen to the dwarves bickering before feeling movement and look to bilbo to see him absentmindedly pluck a spiderweb; it vibrates, and the vibrations continue through the various linked spiderwebs far off into the forest; I can hear them. Bilbo plucks the web again. I hear a strange whispering voice, and a thought shoots through me. We are not alone.

well, I certainly didnt expect to get into a fight with giant spiders.
But it seemed that it wasn't that hard. you depicted them in minutes and immediately turned your attention to my company to free them from their bindings. It was a quick task, and soon they all were rushed down by their submission to gravity, and I smiled, happy that they were fine and would get out soon. You glanced over to bilbo, who smiled and nodded. He would have to get down another way. But you didnt listened and grabbed him easing him into your arms like a father to a child.
The halfing yelped and grabbed onto the fabric that enclosed your slender body. You chuckled at the embarrassment that rushed to his cheeks when he heard my laughter, and soon I landed on the forest floor; the dwarves came over to us, still partly covered in webs.
Thorin seemed to have another air about him, like more appreciation was poured into his gaze as he caught your dark blue eyes with a small smile of thanks. You smiled at him and let bilbo down from your arms patting his curly head.
We then ran through the forest. More spiders jump down on silk threads before you and hiss at you all.
While thorin Thorin raises his sword in preparation to fight but pauses and looks up. You follow his gaze to see a blonde head coming toward you all. He runs through the treetops and then swings down a spiders silk to land on it and kill it. He slides on the forest floor under the spider facing Thorin, slicing it in half, and comes up kneeling with an arrow nocked in his bow and pointed at Thorin.
You step up, although all the arrows are pointed at you and the company. Legolas dont seem to notice you as he sneers at your dwarf king. Do not think I wont kill you, dwarf. It would be my pleasure.
You smirk and step closer to thorin, placing a hand on his shoulder and snarling, "you would not have the time to elfling" Legolas looks at you, his gaze widening, but his bow is still pointed at you "who are you?" he asks coldly. You smile and dip your head as you already feel that this elf is royal.
"My name is Skipre elf prince, and you do well to remember that name if you ever see me again. It might be your death" while your threats are subtle and well hidden, Legolas catches them and seems thrown off guard enough that he lowers his sword.
He holds your gaze until you hear a familiar scream. You whip your head aorund to see kili, a spider pulling him away by the foot. A female Elf runs through the forest. She kills three spiders with her bow and knife, then kills the spider pulling Kili with an arrow. She turns to attack another spider behind her, and yet another spider rushes toward Kili.
This time you step in quicker than any others can see, and the spider slumps to the ground dead when you are visible again. The female elf with dark brown hair looks at you with surprise and wonder, but you only glance at her and turn to kili.
"you alright?" you ask, offering your dwarfish freind a hand.
