Phoenix

Fire might be seen as something bad by most people, but not by her. Nobody knew why, but it seemed as if she was drawn to it, always staring at the sometimes destructive warmth in awe. Many people tried to tell her that she should stay away from it, but she never listened. And one day, she found out why...

Cinis was a unusual name, but the red haired girl wasn't normal, either. While she had a short temper, she never meant any harm. Though, society will always see different people as outcasts, and nobody cares about those. Humans are strange beings, they fear things that are unpredictable, so they hate them. They fear creativity and nature, yet they claim them as theirs. It disgusted her to be called one, even if she didn't act like them at all. The fire that they despised so much, those beautiful golden flames, they were everything that managed to keep her alive, fueling her energy and accompanying her whenever she was sad or simply lonely.

But...other people, students mostly, started to notice Cinis' strange behaviour, soon starting to tease her with it. And, cruel as they were, they'd start actually hurting her, while finding it funny to dump water on a small and defenseless flame in front of her. Normal people, no, normal humans, wouldn't care at all, since it was ' just a candle' . However, the girl snapped at the hurtfull sight, jolting forwards, while protecting the little flame.

That only made them call her even worse names, but at the moment, she didn't care. The only thing she cared about was the little orange light, which flickered slightly, but thankfully, it didn't die. Suddenly, it grew stronger and bigger, now covering her entire hand. Despite everything all the adults said it didn't hurt Cinis. It didn't even hurt as the wonderfull sensation took over her left arm, even if it tickeld slightly. Soon enough, there was nothing left of her but a pile of ashes.

Right as the bullys wanted to scream in shock and helplessness, something moved within her remains. Slowly stretching it's body, there was a lovely little bird, whose feathers seemed to be on fire.
