Who is Blind

What's the score dad? I asked dad as I reached home from the office.
Sometime earlier it was 127/3, dad replied.
What's the target we have to chase? I asked again.
281 he said
Are you not watching match? Television was off when I entered home. So I curiously asked dad. My dad is a very fond of cricket and usually he never misses any match.

Virat Kohli is out so there is no hope that we will win today. Dad replied sadly. And I can't read the score on the screen sitting here on sofa so not watching, he said this with a deep sigh.

I paused for a moment and realised how age is impacting us. Ageing is inevitable and we have to accept that we are growing old.

We will go to see doctor this Saturday. I think your cataract is due now. I replied.

We have visited eye care clinic and as expected dad need to operate for cataract. We have fix up the date for operation and everything went well as it should be. Dad's eye vision has improved and now he can enjoy Virat Kohli's century while relaxing on sofa.

The other day I saw many people are going to temple. It was Maha Shivratri, the Hindu festival of lord Shiva. People worship Lord Shiva with leaves and milk. People are pouring milk on idol of Lord Shiva and that milk is going into drainage. Complete wastage!! We negotiate ₹ 1 with vegetable shopkeepers and here we gladly waste milk in the name of worship. This is just an example of how we behave differently at different places. We blindly follow the religion taught to us. Ironically there is no clinic which can cure this.

This trigger me a question that Who is Blind?
An old age dad who couldn't see properly due to ageing or people pouring milk which goes to drainage?"

You know the answer, right? :)

Disclaimer: I am not against any religion. This is my personal belief only.
