Takahiro has been nervous the whole day.

His younger brother -- Misaki -- apparently had something important to tell? Of course, Takahiro thought, it must've been something recent -- a girlfriend, maybe? Or was something related to school, Usagi, or health or--

Takahiro knew he shouldn't be so nervous about his brother. They're closer than most -- purely because of what happened to their parents. He also knew how emotional Misaki was over Minami -- holy, was Misaki going to tell him he had a crush on Minami?

Goodness, that would make things extremely awkward between them.

Well, here they are. In Takahiro

Misaki looks visibly uncomfortably, sitting on Takahiro's coach. Takahiro suddenly realizes this must've been extremely important -- well, that makes complete and utter sense. Misaki did say that it was important.

"Well?" Takahiro asks calmly, handing Misaki freshly brewed coffee. "What is it you want to tell me."

Misaki sighs uncomfortably. Like, complete and utter pure discomfort. Golly. "Oh, uh," Misaki blushes. "Promise me you won't disown me or anything...?"

And that makes Takahiro laugh. "You're my only brother, Misaki. Why would I?"

"Because..." Misaki blushes more. "I'm uh, dating Usag- Usami-san."

What? Did he hear that right?

Akihiko? His best friend -- who he's known since highschool, was dating his younger brother...?

"You're probably going back on that, aren't you--" Misaki trails off.

"How long?" Takahiro asks. It's honestly jarring to him -- he's more confused, startled (betrayed?) than he is mad.

Misaki grabs his arm, blushing. "Uh," He hummed. "Christ, how long have we been dating...?"

The fact Misaki has to think about it is what startles Takahiro.
