LOGAN'S P.O.V.

I sighed heavily as I entered my house and immediately went to my bedroom. As always the house was completely empty since my parents were on yet another business trip, but it wasn't a problem for me, I liked being alone and I have learned to take care of myself.

I throw myself on my bed and start reading the book the teacher assigned for English class; I had already read it many time since it was my favorite book, but I didn't mind reading it once again.

An hour past before my ringtone brought me out of the story, reminding me that I still had to eat, so answering the phone I got up and made my way to the kitchen.

"Hello?" I answered without looking at the ID.

"Yo Nerd, how are you?" A deep voice said from the other side of the phone.

I sighed faking annoyance even if a small smile was playing on my lips.

"Hello Virgil. I'm okay, how about you?"

Virgil and I have been best friends since freshman year, when he transferred from another school and I had to show him around for the whole day. It immediately became clear to me that we would have become good friends when we both started talking about conspiracy theories about space, books and the world in general, and I was not surprised to be right.

"I'm good. I heard there are two new students, have you met them?"

I sighed once again, this time actually annoyed, at the memories of the arrogant guy.

"Unfortunately yes, I met both of them."

There was a second of silence between us before Virgil's mildly concerned voice reached my ears.

"What? Are they both assholes? Are they jerks? " He started asking question after question, making me smile a bit affectionately, shaking my head.

"Calm down, they were not. Well, one of them was an asshole but the other one was really nice and I actually think you two would be good friends considering both of you love puns." I answered trying to calm him down. I knew he would still ask me what happened with the other one.

"He sounds really nice. But what happened with the other one? " He asks making me roll my eyes at how predictable he was.

"He is just really arrogant and self centered and he thinks he can act however he wants here and get whatever he wants just because where he comes he is a prince! Patton said, and I quote, 'I know he is acting like a meanie but he is really just a big ol' cuddly bear once you get to know him! He just likes to be respected' . Honestly though I don't know how much I believe him. Roman didn't seem all that nice to me if I have to be completely honest."

Virgil just hummed in response before dropping  the subject. We talked about everything and anything as I prepared dinner, but for some reason I just couldn't take my mind off of the weird and arrogant new guy.

Sorry guys if this is so short but this week has been a mess and I have almost no motivation left. I'll do my best with the chapters that will come and I'll try maybe to write the day before the one I have to update and we'll see how it goes. 

I still wanted to publish something so here's a low-quality 500 words chapter.
