Rouge was being carried around by Midnight by the scruff of her neck, The wolf treated her as if she was his own wolf cub, the one year old hoglet didn't seem to mind...after all she was still learning.

"Eh!?" Rouge whimpered holding her arms up to Shadow, So far she only knows Shadow and the nice G.U.N scientists, cause the day Shadow and her were rescued she was still a new born, freshly out of the womb Shadow rubs his eyes taking the hoglet from Midnight, who walked away with the raw meat he was given. Rouge saw the picture of the white bat, who was wearing a wedding dress with Shadow, "Mama?" She cooed her little tail wagging. Shadow blinks when he heard her cause the bat, Mom. A part of him wanted to correct her...a smile curled up on his muzzle, taking care of her wasn't hard not without Midnight's help...and her lack of fear of that big wolf, and with G.U.N paying for everything he's had time to recover from the trauma.

He sets Rouge down on the table, the light blue hedgehog was wearing a blue dress with a blue headband, she tilts her head at Shadow, who clearly looked upset, she had seen her father cry before...was it about the bat? Did he miss her?

"I know she'll like you..." Shadow admits as he wipes away the few tears from his eyes, "I...I missed her..." the hedgehog was snapped out of his thought by his phone alerting him about motion at the front door, he glanced over at Midnight who's attention was fixed on Rouge, the paranoia started to hit him as he picks up his phone to see who was at the door, he swallowed the lump in his throat.

On the Screen was a Helen and Christopher Thorndyke, two Scientists that worked for G.U.N well Helen was close friends to Shadow, she is Rouge's primary doctor. Shadow felt his heart sink he's been avoiding going out...mostly because he knew that the Asylum wasn't going to contain Sonic for long...and he was afraid that the Blue Hedgehog would find him. He went over to answer the door.

"Hey Shadow..." Chris greeted. "It's been awhile and we want to check up on you"

"I'm fine..." Shadow admits.

"Well I know...but you could still use the checking in...It is demanded of Towe"

"Tsk..."

Shadow let both humans into his house, Midnight had gotten Rouge down from the table before she could hurt herself.

"Are you sure you want that th-"

Midnight growls at Chris, the wolf was more than just a pet, and knew how to kill, after all the wolf is a predator...he just grew up around a mobian that took care of him when he he didn't have anyone else...and now that they weren't around Rouge was his owner now, just until Sonic comes back.

"Nevermind..."

"Well as long as he's not hurting her..." Helen smiled, "I can see that she's healthy...has she said her first words yet?"

Shadow pinned his ears down and looked away, "She...called...Rouge her mom..."

Both Chris and Helen were shocked "Really!?"

"I guess it's because he's not around her now...and she saw a picture of me and her on our wedding day" Shadow lets out a small sigh. "I just don't know what to think..."

"Well think of it as progress...from what we saw with HIM he's not gonna be coming back, but you did say that he has four personalities right?"

"Yeah...and I've only met three, it's the fourth one that scares me the most...since I never met it" Shadow admits.

It was nothing but a conversation with the two scientists that came to check up on him, he closed the door and slid down the door, he wanted to cry to bad...but he couldn't get the thought of Sonic's victims being murdered, their screams...the fact that he was forced to help him. He just rests his head on his knees.

What is that fourth personality? And why hasn't he have witnessed it?
