What do his words mean? I look at him with confused, afraid eyes. In return, he just flashed me his cocky smile. Doing that he turned and walked out of the room leaving me stunned behind. I bit my lower lip thinking if he knew about my identity or he was just playing with me. His behaviour was making me so confused. I don't think he knows my identity, he is just trying to threaten me like that day. He will never see my face without a mask and sunglasses. Before It happens, I will make sure to kick him to another branch where he can go and suck their blood.

With a determined mind, I walked out of the empty meeting room with files In my hand. To execute my plan I first need to talk with Zanvil. I went to my office and kept all the files related to the meeting then walked back to Zanvil's office. Standing in front of his office I took a deep breath. Now or never. I know I'm backing down from my responsibility but I need to do it for the peace of my mind. I knocked on his door.

"Come in" I heard his faint voice asking me to enter.

"Zanvil I want to talk with abo---" I said those words as soon as I entered his office without realising he had the company of none other than his demon cousin. Listening to my words both of them looked at me, making me shut my mouth as I felt two pairs of intimidating eyes on me.

"I will come after some time," I said and was about to excuse myself when the green-eyed demon opened his mouth.

"No come in, we were just talking about you," he said, making me look at him with raised eyebrows.

About me! What were they talking about me?

"Yes, I was telling Skylar how much I trust you and you are so efficient with the work I trust you" Zanvil praised me, making my cheeks burn red. He never does that in front of me. It was a rare occasion and I felt proud of myself after hearing praise from his mouth. I was smiling like an idiot behind the mask but I stopped smiling as realisation fell on me. Dang, now I can't tell him I can't do the partner company thing he trusted me with. I don't want my praise to turn into a curse on the same day. I think today it's not the day for me. I will tell him tomorrow and explain to him properly so he won't think I'm backing away from my responsibility. I was still in my thoughts when I heard an annoying cocky voice.

"I was telling him to find me the same secretary as you or else Zanvil, why don't you send Miss.Smith to me until I find a new secretary," Skyler said, looking at me with a grin on his face, passing the vibes of uneasiness.

"What," I said in my shocked voice, making Zanvil look at me.

"I--l mean I can't you know how much paperwork is left here as you are busy with your marriage preparation and become CEO in the same month," I said in my shuttering voice while trying to reason. Listening to my shuttering the amusement again flashed in green orbs making me nervous. I was feeling panic rise in me.

"Don't worry I won't send you to him?" Zanvil said while chuckling, making me puff out the air out of my mouth as I took a deep breath in relief. I was so busy saving myself that I failed to notice that the man sitting across from him was monitoring my every movement with his green orbs. It made me compose my emotions.

"Interesting" I heard him mumbling those words while his eyes were still looking at me.

"Excuse me," I said while looking at him, daring him to repeat what he said.

"Don't mind me, you can continue your important talk you were about to do with my cousin," he said leisurely while resting his back more in his seat while moving his eyes all over my face with mischief in his eyes. I looked at Zanvil but he shrugged looking at me.

"Yeah, don't mind him, you can continue. So you were saying," Zanvil said while looking at me with a small smile on his face, putting me in a big dilemma. How can I say it in front of him? I gathered my courage to say it to Zanvil but I can't say it when a green-eyed demon is looking at me like that and, not today.

"It's not that important I will talk with you afterwards," I said in my polite voice and turned to leave his room. I walked fast before he called me back but to my bad luck, he stopped me when I opened the door.

"Miss. Smith, be ready at eleven. We will go together to see the suitable sides for the company's headquarters" I heard an annoying voice from behind my back. I could hear the smirk in his voice and it made me immediately look back.

"What" I again said in a stunned voice.

"Problem," he asked me arrogantly while tilting his head while looking at me.

"Yes," I said in the same tone, making him raise his eyebrow in question.

"It's the job of the research team to find a suitable place for the headquarters and I have more important things to do tomorrow than hunting for a place," I said with a smirk on my face not wanting to go with him anywhere.

"Do you think finding the perfect place for your partner company's headquarters is not important?" he asked with an authoritative tone while looking at me with the same raised eyebrow.

"I never said that. Both of us' definitions of importance are different. As finding a place for your headquarters is important for you. Tomorrow's meeting in my company is important for me too. I can't miss them. We both have important things to do so I can't accompany you in finding a suitable place for headquarters" I said in a stern confident tone. As I was saying those words his jaw clenched, making me squeal from inside. I was winning against him. He looked at Zanvil for help but Zanvil shrugged with a smirk on his face as if he was enjoying our conversation. I will go with him over my dead body. But to my surprise, he unclenched his jaw and the flickers of anger I saw on his face were now gone. There were no traces of it left on his face. Making me glare at him from behind my sunglasses. If it was possible I would have burned him with my glares.

"Then I guess I don't have any choice than asking Jane to accompany me," he said with a smirk on his face as he moved his hard green eyes from me to Zanvil.

"As you wiz---" I was about to complete my sentence as he had finally left my back but before I could do it I was interrupted by a storming voice.

"No, she can't go with you," Zanvil said in his manly voice and glaring eyes.

"Why can't she if Miss.Smith can't accompany me Jane will do it happily you know that," he said in his firm voice as if his decision was final. I know what he was trying to do. This manipulative green eye demon. He knows how possessive Zanvil is when it comes to Jane and he is using it against me. God, please grant me the power of lava beam eyes so I can melt the manipulative demon. I thought with a clenched fist. Zanvil was still glaring at him with contemplating thoughts as he looked at me and then at him.

"I guess I don't have any choice. I should call and inform Jane" he said in his final voice as he stood up to walk out with a smirk on his face. If he wants company so bad then I will send my assistant with him.

"Ok Hazel will accompany you," Zanvil said in his defeated voice, making me gasp at him with bulging eyes. He flashed me apologetic eyes saying I was on my own. Again I was about to refuse when his voice cut me.

"So then it's fixed you will come with me," he said while walking at me with a winning smirk on his face.

"If you want a company then I will send my assistant with you," I said, rejecting his suggestion.

"I don't work with amateurs. Do you think I'm asking you to accompany me for fun? I don't ask women to accompany me for fun, the definition of my fun with women comes with hands tied with tight rope to my bed naked," he said in his authoritarian voice while looking straight at my face with his darkened eyes. He said the last part in his low voice so only I could hear it by moving his face near me. Making my eyes almost fall out of my eye sockets as a shiver of foreign sensation ran to my whole body after hearing his words. What did he just say now? I was suddenly feeling hot. His tone was promising all the bad things to me, making me bite my lower lip in anxiety. I knew I had no choice but to go with him tomorrow. With a warning, he left as if he was my boss.

"Don't be late I don't tolerate late comers"
