Chapter Seven
Erin's P.O.V
I paced back and forth in the Chaos cabin's living room, unshod tears threatening to fall. Nothing was right, Percy was gone, Chaos hadn't spoke to us since the mind conversation (and that didn't even count), we had lost so many campers, Gaea was waking, and she could only be destroyed by Percy! My life was a mess.
You may be wondering now what happened to my mother, Hestia. Turns out, she was controlled by Void because he wanted her for her healing and warmth, and as a wife. She's back to normal now, just so you know.
I sighed and glanced at Percy's room, my heart aching to see him again. His messy hair, his twinkling eyes that always lit up when he saw me, his confidence and ability to make me flustered at a mere comment. I was in love.
Zoë burst into he room. "Meeting....Big House....Chaos.....all of the warriors!" She panted, doubling over. I mumbled something about fast runners and placed my hand on her forehead, returning air to her lungs.
She smiled at me and I rolled my eyes. My best friend was just so lazy and impatient sometimes.
"Common Zoë." I grinned, and fire-traveled us to the meeting room. Basically, every part of the body turned to fire which could visit anywhere, and take you anywhere. It was especially powerful and easy to do in places with a fire already burning, or where a fire had burned previously. It was a newfound power. My mother and Chaos had informed me of it, and taught myself and Beckendorf how to use it properly.
As soon as we reformed into humans again, Zoë ran over to Luke, sitting own next to him. As Percy's second in command, he was in charge now. I was third in command usually, a joint spot with Zoë, but now we were both second and so forth with the rest of the army. (A/N the order is mentioned in chapter one of the first book)
All the Olympians were there, along with the head counselors. And surprisingly, Chaos. He looked worried, his face etched into a frown.
"My Lord." I bowed to Chaos just to annoy him. He chuckled slightly, then snapped his fingers, Zoë fell on the ground clutching her sides. I was about to snap at her until I looked down at my clothing and saw that I was wearing a pink dress worthy of Aphrodite.
"Get it off!" I screamed, running around before tackling the creator of the universe, my hands alight with white hot fire.
"Only if you agree not to call me Lord again!" He demanded.
"I promise." I said, while holding a pair of crossed fingers behind my back. Call me childish, but hey! A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do to be able to annoy her boss. Behind me, Leo and the Stolls saw and chuckled.
"Good." Chaos said, snapping his fingers. I was back in my uniform, and I mentally did a happy dance.
"Alright, those of you who don't know why we are here, ask Chaos because I don't know either!" Zeus bellowed.
"Turn it down drama queen!" Luke, Zoë, Silena, Beckendorf, Bianca, Orion (they were here now, as all Chaos warriors had to be present) , Perseus, Jason, myself, and all of the head counselors including Thalia who had just arrived, yelled.
Zeus just glared while Hades chuckled and Poseidon shook with laughter.
"EVERYONE SILENCE!" Chaos shouted, and the room quieted down. "Good!" He said cheerfully, before his demeanor turned serious. "I have news about the war. Gaea has awoken now without the help of anyone. She is rising quickly, with her children alongside her. Although the Elder Cyclopes won't join here, as well as the Hundred-Handed ones, they have demanded to stay neutral in this third giant war. E giants and titans are rising, and I'm afraid only the one who killed them before in years past can kill them now. Which means that most of them might survive, because Perseus is in the void."
I caught my breath. "No. We will hold them off, long enough to sort out Percy's situation!" I yelled, my fists on fire still.
Calm down Erin!
Percy?! I asked in my head, my excitement growing. The others were looking at me strangely now.
Who else?
Percy where are you!?
I'm out of the Void, if that's what you're asking. Actually, I'm outside the Big House. Why don't you make it a surprise that I'm here?
Idiot.
Love ya.
I turned away and acted like I was still very angry. I turned on my heel, making sure to keep the scowl on my face, and threw open the Big House door only to be enveloped in a bear hug by the one and only Perseus Jackson.
"Percy!" Luke, Chaos, and everyone but myself and Percy screamed. We were too busy laughing. That is until they all tackled him to the ground, leaving me standing.
"Help! Erin! Call 911! Get these fat oafs....Oof! Off of me!" Percy yelped, his voice strained. I rolled my eyes and continued to watch. A blast of white energy soon followed, and everyone was thrown back a few hundred feet.
SORRY! Percy shouted in all of our heads. I growled, and began to run toward a where I knew he was standing. I could hear Luke ordering everyone to stand back, so I could have my lovey-Dover reunion with my boyfriend. I decided to kill him later.
In three seconds, I was on top of Percy, pinning him to the ground. He laughed as I punched him in the stomach.
"What was that? Are you trying to tickle me Erin?" He teased. In response, I leaned down and kissed him softly.
"I missed you." I mumbled.
