I wasn't paying attention to wear these men were taking me, part of me was hoping it would be death meeting me at the end of this journey. But death would be to easy for me wouldn't it be God? I used to believe in some one up there watching out for us, but as my life went on I realized that no one is actually looking out for me. Soon the men's grip lessened on me, not enough where I could get away but enough where I could stand on my own feet. I was to tired to try and stand up though. So I just hung there, slumped over waiting to be beaten. They started to drag me again, this time at a slower pace, but still to fast for my legs. I just hung my head and waited.

I was snapped out of my dazed state by being thrown into a small cage. I immediately crawled into the corner.

"What are we going to do with her now boss?" One of the men asked.

"Nothing we will wait for Luke to get her and handle her. We can't hurt her because she is under his protection. Did you call him?" The boss asked and as if on que Luke walked in.

"What happened" he said running over to the cage and trying to undo the lock.

"We don't know she made eye contact with us before she started running away, we knew something was off, so we chased her. You owe us a big one Luke, we wasted time and energy that could be used else where because of her." The boss said.

"I'm sorry man I don't know how she got out and I will make up for the time and energy spent on her." Luke said as he opened the cage. I didn't move, I wasn't going to make this easy on him. "Come on, Its time for us to leave." He said looking at me but I refused to move anywhere. Luke looked up at his boss and shrugged his shoulders. "I don't know what to do boss, I just found her the other day and she's barely spoken." Luke said standing up to have a conversation with his boss.

"Well have you seen the marks on her body? and when she was running from us and twisted her ankle pretty bad, a fall like she did would have made any grown man cry, so she has a very high pain tolerance and by the marks on her I can tell you how she probably got them. We've dealt with cases like her before when we've been on raids. Jut look at her." The bass said while walking around my cage and bending down to eye level with me in my corner. I quickly scooted into the middle of the cage. "Child, come back here." He said in a very soft tone it almost made me want to trust him but my instincts kick in and didn't let me move. "Boys bring the restraints." When he said that I started to tremble, two men had walked over to the cage door and were standing there with two towels and some rope. I didn't know what to do, if I moved anywhere in the cage someone would grab me from the outside and if I stay here the men will tie me up. I didn't make my choice quick enough because the two men were already holding me down. One held my legs while the other first laid the towel down and then tied the rope tightly around my legs. then they switched to my hand and tied them in front of me. I must have zoned out because now both the boss and Luke were both walking up to me. The both kneeled down in front of me but I kept my head and gaze on the floor.

"You see Luke, she wont look anyone in the eyes, she's shaking like a leaf in the wind. Plus look at this," He paused to lift up the front of my long sleeve shirt, "Those bruises are punch marks, you and I know all too well what those look like, those deep cuts are stab wounds. She needs help Luke, this is only her stomach," He paused to roll up my sleeves, "and look, self harm. she is way more than you can handle Luke, remember your spot in this group, by trying to care for this child, you will lose your high rank, she is to much for you, I will have one of my men put her out once night fall comes." he said getting up and walking away, for a second there I thought he was going to help me and care for me, he sounds so kind and his voice was so familiar, but no, I was going to be killed in a few hours and no one is going to rescue me. Luke was still sitting on the floor in front of me, he was staring at me for about ten minutes before he started to untie my hands and feet. Once he was done he pulled me by my one arm, so I was now standing. He held on to my upper arm and lead me out of the cage and through a tunnel to a door with two men standing outside of it.

"Don't let her go anywhere." Luke said to one of the men, then he turned to me, "I am going to tie this rope gently around your wrists so then they can hang onto that instead of touching you." I didn't respond but he did what he said anyways, once he handed the rope to one of the men he walked into the door, leaving me to wonder what will happen to me.
