Chapter Eleven

AllenVex2020

The cult building had looked amazing and he slowly walked inside as he opened the doors. But when he did all eyes immediately locked on him and he was grabbed by different men and before he knew it he was knocked out and his vision went black.

As he woke up, he was tied to a bed with metal chains. He had looked around and breathed heavily due to all his muffled screams. Many men walked past him and there was a key in the pocket of the man who was speaking to someone else and Isaac figured he could get it if he distracted him well.

It would be hard to escape because there were chains on his arms, but luckily, there were no chains around his legs or neck so he could insert the key in the lock-in his wrist but he needed to figure out how he would get it.

He closed his eyes and said a prayer. But he couldn't rely on just that, he needed to do work for it to be answered. He then realized that there had been a dead body under him, but not just that. They had a dagger. So when they all turned their backs to do something else, he tried to grab it using his feet. The first time he tried, his feet would barely move, but once he got the hang of it, he got it in between his feet but then it slipped right out.

He tried countless times again and again but when the man had walked by him again he had seen the big round circle attached to the key. Instead of getting the dagger, he hooked his feet around the circle and as the man began walking again, the key pulled right out.

He tried his hardest to unlock his hands and when he did he had been free. He got the danger just in case and hid in a closet that was nearby which had uniforms on a hanger.

He immediately thought of a new idea and put the uniform on and he began running his hand through his hair changing its style.

Then, he walked out of the closet and looked down. He looked around before seeing stairs and he immediately ran up them.

Once he got up, nobody had seemed to look at him with suspicion but he knew if he didn't rush out of there quickly, they would chain him up again.

He quickly ran out of the room and within seconds he was already in the tunnel and on his way back to the castle. The tunnel seemed shorter since his last visit but as he ran through the tunnels thoughts dashed through his head.

When he finally reached the library, he noticed two people holding hands and looking around. Lusilla and Elijah... He didn't know what all this was about. Did she make her decision to be with him? What had he told her? He would've wanted to see what this was all about but it was then he wanted to tell his father everything. His mother's state, what just happened to him. All of that. But he was busy with his work.

He wanted to know more about the tournament but didn't know who to ask. He thought about telling Lusilla but he wanted to see what she and Elijah were doing. Did he win over her heart? His heart pounded and throbbed as he watched their every move. He could only hear a little bit of what they were saying but if he got closer he could hear. Before he had the chance to do anything, they went up the stairs to the second floor where he was, and he hid behind a bookshelf.

"Yeah, I thank you for that. Those doughnuts were extremely good. Did you make them yourself?" Lusilla asked, smiling at Elijah.

"Yeah, my grandma used to be a cook here so I learned a few things from here... but umm... I know you told me to wait and patient but I feel like I need an answer now... do you love me or not?" Elijah asked.

She smiled and didn't answer; instead, she began looking at books to try and change the subject from a question she didn't want to answer. "This looks like a nice book."

Then a voice said, "Me or him?"

"Huh?" Lusilla looked at Elijah and said, "What do you mean you or him..."

"Me or Isaac!?" he yelled.

Lusilla turned her head around and sighed. "Both of you are pressuring me... pressuring me to do something I don't want to choose! Even if I chose one, the other one will become angry and try to kill the other one. If my brother were still alive today, this whole fight for my heart wouldn't be a thing!" she yelled.

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..."

"Of course you didn't but I need some time alone away from this stress," she said.

"You're right... I shouldn't have asked" he said walking away.

She sighed and when she finally began walking again, a very opaque tear dripped down her face. That symbolized her pain and sorrow. Walking forward towards where Isaac was hiding she turned her head and saw him, in the corner with his head down.

"What are you doing here!?" she yelled.

He looked up at her, tears streaming down his face. A pale face with a blurry vision, and his eyes becoming red. He got up and ignored her. He walked down the stairs and left the library. She chased after him but he kept on running away from him.

"Why are you running away from me!?" she asked.

He stopped walking and while looking at the ground he thought about her and Elijah holding hands and immediately continued to walk and continued to ignore her.

"What do you want... I'll give you anything just tell me what's wrong. I can help..." she said.

"Even your heart?" he asked.

She stopped and blushed.

When he heard there was no response, he sprinted away not even thinking about looking back, the only thing he thought about at that moment was Elijah and Lusilla and it was a constant loop. He felt this evil inside of him wanting to kill Elijah for what he had done. And it wasn't long before Lusilla lost him but he noticed that the castle doors were opened so he must have run outside.

The sound of blood splattering erupted in the distance and she rushed outside.

Opening the doors, Isaac laid on the ground, grunting, with a small patch of blood leaking from his jacket. Blood, splattered on the grass, and a sword, clenched in his hands.
