Chapter 6

"You piece of shit. Get over here," Tyler shouted as he tackled Delirious to the ground.

"Get the fuck off me, bitch."

It had only been two days since the gang had moved into the smaller house, but it had been a lifetime of fighting between the two most violent members in the gang.

Alice never bothered to stop their conflicts after she tried the first time for she had many important things happening and none of them included dealing with childish boys.

Dmitri hadn't contacted her ever since her escape and there was no apparent attack from Evan or word about her father. The fact was that she was basically clueless and she absolutely hated it.

She was helpless. The most she could do was wait and hope for the best. Though, that wasn't how she did most things. She made her own decisions and was reluctant when depending on people who weren't as close as family. Depending on Dmitri Mendoza a risky choice.

A soft tap on the bedroom door made Alice jump and the person who had opened it had noticed.

"You've been completely out of it since you came back," Nogla started. "I just wanted to check if you're okay."

Alice laughed softly. There was no denying the differences to her now compared to before. After this entire situation with Evan, her father, and Dmitri, she was afraid. Her loud, aggressive talk had reduced to a quiet mutter of words. She began to ask instead of order. The green eyed girl was even jumpy and always on edge. Everyone noticed.

Staying with Evan for so long and being afraid of another outburst, Alice had been the same around him. It became a habit she didn't even know she obtained until she came back to the gang.

"I can't do anything but wait." Alice finally replied. "Its killing me and I'm losing control over this gang. I can't even stop Jonathan and Tyler from fighting. He fucking ruined me without me even noticing!"

It took Nogla a few seconds to figure out she was talking about Evan and he felt horrible. It wasn't only Jonathan and Tyler who had been giving her a difficult time over the past two days. It was only then he realized that Alice went through hell and no one had bothered to stop their antics.

He couldn't do much. He wasn't Alice's best friend and he wasn't much of a good listener in these things. The most he could do was showed he cared and give her support.

His arms wrapped around her tiny frame and Alice didn't push away, which made him worry even more. This wasn't Alice. She was broken and only time would tell if they'd be able to fix it.

--------------

"She's still asleep?" Lui asked, concerned.

"I tried to get her to get up to eat, but she said she wasn't hungry." Craig explained after checking in on Alice. "She hasn't eaten in two days except for a small sandwich I left her last night."

More days had passed and Alice's mental state was deteriorating with every passing hour. No one had really talked about it at first, but Daithi had mentioned the amount of stress the gang leader had been going through.

Since then, the conflict between Delirious and Wildcat had ended and there had been a few "meetings" held just to discuss Alice.

Brock spoke up. "I never imagined Alice could be like this."

"I don't think anyone ever imagined to see Alice as fragile as she is now," Wildcat replied. "

"Well, what are we supposed to do? She's falling apart." Delirious felt a painful amount of guilt for adding to the amount of stress Alice was going through.

No one believed that the tiny girl shaking under the covers was Alice. She wasn't fearless or fierce. Where did the beautiful and strong warrior they looked up to disappear to?

"We can't do anything and neither can she. That's what's getting to her. She's helpless."

Alice couldn't go out and search for her father or Dmitri in fear that Evan would learn that she was alive and the rest of the gang wasn't able to do the same since they couldn't reveal their location or they'd find themselves in a dangerous position in Evan's game.

Terroriser was silent most of the conversation. He wasn't the closest to Alice, but he cared for her and trying to find a solution to her stress was the least he could do in return for everything she had done for them in the past year.

A sudden idea came to him. "Brock? Please tell me you have someway of contacting your brother."

"I haven't seen him in years. The only thing I have is his old cell and believe, I've called over hundreds of times before."

Even after Dmitri died, Brock was broke, starving, and alone. The only reminder he had of his brother was his voicemail. If he had any spare change, he'd go the nearest phone booth and phone his brother just to hear his voice again and to leave a heartbroken message he knew his brother would never get to hear.

Though, he now knew Dmitri was alive. In high hopes, Moo believed that Dmitri still might have his old phone. He always held it close to him whenever they were together so li ng ago.

After, Brock's response, the gang was silent. "I can try though."

That caught everyone's attention and they watched in agonizing apprehension as Brock pulled out his phone and dialed his brother's number.

A single ring left Brock ecstatic and so was everyone else. If it wasn't sent straight to voicemail, Dmitri probably still had his old phone.

Another ring came, but it was cut off in the middle. "Hello, brother."

---------------

Short chapter. I absolutely love having Brock's backstory in this. Thank you to everyone who commented on my last note. Its amazing to know that so many people support me and @kaotic_belle deleted her comment and blocked me, which I would consider a win so thank you all so much. I'll really try to update soon but I can't promise anything. I also wanted to ask how would you guys feel about an H2OVanoss fanfiction. Vote and comment what you think

And as always I hope ye enjoy^-^
