"I loved Adrien Agreste."

Chat's body stiffened beneath her legs, the hands that were trailing over her knees came to a sudden halt before quickly starting up again so Marinette wouldn't notice. "O-Oh yeah?" He cursed himself as he let out an accidental voice crack.

Marinette furrowed her brows as she nodded. Regret was beginning to form in the pit of her stomach but she knew that she needed to tell him. It was only fair, seeing as he had told her that he had been in love with Ladybug, who was technically her. Not that he knew that, of course.

"But like I said, I loved him. I'm not in love with him anymore. You're the one that worked his way into that, you sly cat." When she saw his sharp toothed grin, Marinette finally felt herself relax. Pulling back her legs, she moved so that she could rest her head on his shoulder.

"I wanted you to know, okay? So you don't have to worry."

"Okay."

"I love you?"

Chat grinned down at her, quickly stealing a kiss before looking back into her big blue eyes. "I love you too, princess."

No matter what.

"Dude, Adrien! That's awesome for you man! I didn't think you had the guts, but then you went and proved me wrong!" Adrien laughed as Nino slung his arm over his shoulder, pulling him into a side hug.

"It's not a date with her, if that's what you're thinking." It's truly only a date for me, but no one else needs to know that. Plagg already won't stop laughing about it. He grinned, happy about the fact that he would get to hang out with Marinette while doing something normal, and alone.

Not like it wasn't gonna be fun hanging out with her today along with Nino and Alya. Even still, he'd much rather spend time with Marinette and Marinette only.

"Bro, you're gonna get there, just wait and see. But since when have you had a crush on Marinette dude? Please don't say since before me." Nino's excitement tapered as he glanced over at his blond friend. "Cause then I'd feel really bad man."

"If I did, then why would I help you out at the zoo?"

"Because you're that kind of a guy, dude." Nino chuckled as Adrien shook his head defiantly. He oh so desperately wanted to point out that he had purposefully kidnapped Marinette away from Nathanael that day they went to the museum, and the time he fought Jace for her before he reeled back.

That fight with Jace never happened, remember? It was all a part of Sandman's well, nightmare for me.

Adrien's smile suddenly dropped as a horrifyingly familiar feeling settled over him, bubbling in his veins to the point that he needed to stop walking with Nino.

"Dude?"

It sent cold shivers down his spine, raising the hairs on the back of his neck. He was biting his tongue harshly as the overwhelming feeling of destruction took over his body. His vision went blurry for a second before returning back to normal.

"Adrien? Are you okay?" Adrien looked up at his friend, green eyes blinking before he finally answered.

"Yeah, I'm okay." Nino shrugged and they continued to walk to the movies where they'd be meeting up with Marinette and Alya.

"So what movie should we see? The girls want to see that new romance movie, what was the name of it again?" Nino watched his friend's smile grow at the mention of the petite blunette and he couldn't help but feel happy and excited for his bet friend.

What Nino didn't notice, however, were the bloody crescents that had formed on Adrien's palm, the substance dripping down to his wrist before the blond shoved his hands into his pockets.

Short and sweet! Or maybe not so sweet. What's happening with Adrien? Maybe we'll find out in Marinette's and his date in the next chapter which will be out on Tuesday, I swear!

Sorry for no updates, I have been gone on spring break and I've been trying to get adjusted to my new schedule for school, so IM SORRY!!!
