'WAKE ME UP WHEN IT'S ALL OVER...' the usual morning wake up.
'I'm coming!' I get dressed as quick as I can and smooth my fingers through my hair.
'Rogue! Come on I want to find out how the trials went last night!' Gajeel shouts about as exited as he can get.
'I know me too.' My mind flashes back to yesterday when we were watching the trials.
It was almost like... no. It was just a black screen. Mr zeref said this might happen... but why... why couldn't this shadow just... go away...
His shadow had stopped talking to him only recently. It was very persuasive after his parents
died...
We arrive at school and go inside. I start getting my books ready when I am glomped by an overly exited sting.
'Omglaxuswonheissclassiamsohappyomgandthereisgoingtobeapartyandyouhavetocomeoriwillbelonleyomgomghewonhewonhewon!' He says exitedly in one breath.
'Umm... I got the laxus and the party but... wait he won!'
'I know right!'
I suddenly realise that he is still hugging me and I turn red.
'U-um sting can you get off...'
'Oh... sorry I was exited...' he says scratching the back of his neck.
Wait is he blushing? Naw it's just my stupid imagination. I want another hug... WAITNOWHAT
'There is a party?' I ask changing the subject.
'Yeah! Gray and natsu are organizing it. It is at gray's house on friday. Basically the whole school is coming!'
'Erm... I don't think I'll go...'
'Huh? Why not?'
Because the last party I went to I got super drunk and ended up in some chicks bed..
'Well.. I haven't the best experience...'
'Noo! But you have to go!'

'I'll be lonely!'
I feel my face go red
'W-what about everyone else?'
'It's natsu's party though, you can trust him!' He looks at me with pleading eyes.
'...fine.' I give in

'Oh shit it's 9:10 already!' He starts running to class.
'Hey wait!' I run after him.
We both go quickly inside and sit down saying
'Sorry were late.' At the same time. Natsu looks over to me with a sly grin on his face as the lesson resumes. He passes a not over to me.
N- hey rogue~ why are you late~
R- why do you care?
N- Oooh~ was rogue getting some quiesh quiesh?~
R- WHAT NO WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN
N- heehee u are so in

R- NO AND YOU ARE CRAZY
N- then why r u so mad~
R- why is your mind so fucked up because WE ARE JUST FRIENDS WHO JUST MET. THAT. IS. ALL.
N- he's drawing you~
I look at sting's notepad just as he turns the page and writes something.
R- no he's not you idiot
N- he was...
I roll my eyes, scrunch up the note and get on with my work.
~Time skip to end of class, because idgaf~
The bell rings for the end of class. Gray. Comes up to me.
'Rogue why were you late?'
'Nice to see you too.'
'Was sting with you?'
'Yeah, why?' He smirks at this.
'Omg no what is wrong with you!' I say, guessing what he is thinking. Natsu walks over, smirking as well.
'True love~' he says, making my face turn red.
How did he guess what we were talking about?
Then sting walks over to us.
'Hey are you ok rogue? Your face is red.'
Really? You don't say...
'Oh it's nothing...' I say gritting my teeth.
'No it's just that he likes y-' natsu begins.
'Yummy pancakes! Yeah I love pancakes... especially with syrup.' I interrupt quickly.
'Omg I love pancakes too!' Sting says.
Phew... wait why was I so bothered by natsu teasing me? Maybe... no. Nonononono.no.
I shake my head a bit as we all go to our next class. Once we sit down the teacher comes in. I see sting drawing something again so I pass a note to him.
R- what are you drawing?
S- nothing.
I see him quickly close his notepad.
R- really?
S- hey I kept quiet about your amazing voice so shut up.
R- DON'T YOU DARE TELL A SOUL OR I WILL KILL YOU.
S- heehee your life is in my hands~
R- you really sound like natsu sometimes 0-o (now bye.)
He goes back to drawing and I look at his golden hair.
Hmmm...
straw coloured hair...
no it is more golden than that...
Why am I trying to figure this out?
I go back to my work and I can feel someone watching me.
~time skip to lunch- qwerty berty.(idk)~
The bell rings for lunch and I go outside. I decide to take a shortcut to lunch through an empty hallway.
Hello rogue.
I jump, and look behind me to see him. my shadow.
'Go away.' I say but I know it is hopeless.
Don't you remember me from the good old days? You were so easy to use back then...
No. Not again.
I feel depression wash over me as I am forcefully reminded of my dark days.
Seems like you have made some friends since I last saw you... I wonder what they will think of you when you are in your true form...
'No. Go away! You are just an illusion!' I stumble backwards and my back slams against a locker.
An illusion eh? We'll see about that...
I start to feel it again; a sense of hopelessness and loathing.
Just let go... no more pain...
My shadow starts to take control.
'Rogue! Rogue!' I gain control again as I see sting running towards me.

I feel the voice weaken in my head as my world turns black.
'Rogue! Please wake up!' I see two blue orbs peircing my vision, then a sea of yellow. When the world comes ito focus I see sting shaking me.
'Sting?' I breath in air slowly, trying not to panic.
'What happened? Who were you talking to?' He. Asks me worriedly.
'My shadow...' I wisper.
'What?'
'Nothing.' I reply quickly. I try to get up off the floor and fail, so he helps me up.
'Thanks.'
'No problem.' He says and I realise he still has his arm around me.
Shit he's too nice...
'I-I can go to lunch now.'
'Are you sure?' He asks with worry in his eyes.
'Yeah.'
We both start walking down the corridor towards lunch.
Maybe I can tell him...
'Sting.'
'Yeah?'
'Me and gajeel live alone. Our parents died in a car crash.' I feel my voice falter.
'I'm sorry... my dad died when I was young... so my mum remarried... but they divorced... natsu stayed with our mother and... me and laxus lived with our stepdad for a long time... yeah. Not the best time.' He gives a nervous laugh. I look at him and for the first time I notice the scar near his right eye.
And laxus has a scar too...
We walk into the cafeteria and sit down next to everyone.
'Why were you guys late?' Asks lucy, winking at me.
'Umm... got held up... by a teacher. Yeah. Almost got detention.'
'For snogging in the halls...' natsu snickers.
'WHAT?' I shout
'What?' Sting asks confusedly.
He wasn't even listening...
'Omg! A new otp!' Lisanna starts muttering incoherently and squealing.
'Lisanna, you sound like Mira again and natsu, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOUR BRAIN NO-'
Suddenly the bell rings and natsu says
'I ship it.' Sting still looks confused.
~le time skip 2 class~
'Rogue!' Sting leans over to me.
'What is it?'
'I don't get it!'
'What?'
'Well I don't get this equation stuff and I don't get why natsu and gray are looking at us creepily!'
Great. Now we are being shipped.
I am about to reply when the teacher says
'No talking in class, thank you.'
And I see natsu pass a note to sting who reads it. his face goes red and he scribbles something else down quickly and passes the note back to natsu.
What are they talking about?
Focus rogue. I go back to my work and ignore the note passing for the rest of the lesson. When the bell finally rings, I pack up my stuff and go out into the corridor.
Hello rogue. Just to let you know that holy mage can't help you. I am more powerful, and besides he won't be much use when you've killed him.

I suddenly feel the dark presence disappear and I look up to see sting walking towards me.
'Hurry up rogue! We're gonna be late!' He says, grabbing my arm.
