A ringing noise was ringing in Jeongguk ears. He barely slept free hours and now his phone has been going off for the past five minutes. whoever it is doesn't catch a break.

He groaned loudly as he opened his eyes. The sun is shining right through making it hard to adjust. He grabbed his phone from the side table and looked at the caller ID.

"..Hello?" He said in his raspy morning voice. 

"Jeongguk oh my god why were you not picking up your phone?!?! Do you know how worried I have been?!?" His mother yelled at him.

"Why? everything OK?"

"Didn't you see the news? the venue we went to last night blew up. We are lucky we made it out!! or we would have died. You weren't picking up your phone so I thought...I thought something bad happened to you"

"Oh,that's sad. Don't worry mom I got out five minutes later you went home. Don't worry anymore I'm safe in my friends house. I just wake up that's that's I wasn't picking up your calls,I'm sorry" 

"It's okay,sweetie. I am just glad you are alive,please don't ever scare me like that again and pick up your phone!!" 

"Hmm,how is...Um my precious little brother?"

"Yeah that brat was acting last night but since he technically saved me from dying I didn't scold him that much" 

"You should be thanking him mom,treat him or something"

"Shutup, Anyway I am also kind of sorry for taking you there. I am just thinking if all this didn't happen i might have risked your life i-"

"Mom, please don't stress about it. We are fine and that's what only matters. Now hang up so I can eat something,I'll visit you soon okay?"

"Hmm okay,I love you Guk"

"love you too mom, byeee" He hung up the phone as he sighed. He put it aside,his head falling back into the pillow staring at the ceiling. 

He was in this spare room in Taehyung's apartment. Honestly he really wanted to sleep next to Taehyung but since both of them were exhausted from everything that went down last night,Jeongguk really didn't want to annoy taehyung and ruin his sleep so he just let him sleep alone. 

He looked around and noticed that this place was actually really nice. It looked expensive to afford. After last night he wonders what really is Taehyung's Job that he can afford something like this. 

He had multiple questions popping up about Taehyung in his head after last night. Just who is this man? What is his job? who were all those people he was after and why were there kids in the basement. 

He is some kind of cop? a gangster or maybe a part of some mafia? He has no idea. He just knows whatever he does,it's very dangerous. 

He shrugs off all the unnecessary thoughts. A bit too sleepy to think more. Getting out of bed and going into the bathroom to freshen up. He was shirtless and wearing only his dress pants from yesterday.

He was going to ask Taehyung for some extra clothes he could wear but Taehyung passed out the moment he reached his bed. It seemed like the older one was really exhausted after everything that went down. Instead of bothering him and not looking around his cupboards,he just had to deal with what he has. Taking off his coat and dress shirt and just wearing the pants so he could be easy.

Once he was done with washing his face and other stuff. He got out of the room,walking into the little kitchen. He saw Taehyung making breakfast. Leaning against the door frame,staring at the boy who looked so at peace while frying some eggs. 

"You are up,be grateful because if your ass was mate you would have to make yourself breakfast" Taehyung said as if he sensed his presence,not even looking at him. Guess Taehyung really has some good hearing. 

"Why didn't you wake me up?" He asked him. 

"Why would i- Why are you standing naked in my kitchen?" Taehyung asked him with wide eyes. Jeongguk definitely caught him checking him out. The hard work he put on his body is really paying off.

"Come on sweetheart. It's not anything you haven't seen before" Jeongguk told him with a smirk on his face. He saw Taehyung looking down,totally flustered. It's so easy to rile him up considering how cold he is naturally.

"Shut up,please wear something before I kick you out" 

"I don't have anything to wear. Please I don't wanna wear that tight dress shirt anymore. Can you give me something to wear please?" Jeongguk asked him. Taehyung rolled his eyes.

"I took clothes out for me,they are on my bed. Just go wear them I will wear something else" Taehyung who was still in his pj's said. Too busy making breakfast. 

the younger nodded and walked off to the bedroom.

Once he was done changing,he walked back to the living room where Taehyung was sitting eating breakfast and there was a separate plate for Jeongguk. He smiled and sat down next to the older one on the couch. Taehyung was checking him out again.

"You look good"

"Thanks"

"It's not a compliment to you. Those are my clothes so of course you look good" Taehyung declared,breaking eye contact to focus on his food.

Jeongguk chuckled at how cute the older one was despite his cold persona. This man is just a soft baby who pretends to be tough. He is so mysterious that Jeongguk can't help but dig more. He wants to know more about this dude.  Want to get past this face to see who the Real Kim Taehyung. 

"This is so good. Do you cook a lot"

"Sometimes"

"Wah sometimes? I have to cook for myself everyday but it's never as good as this"

"Sucks to be you"

"Can you stop giving me small responses? Why do you hate me so much? I thought we vibed well" Jeongguk questioned the older man. Taehyung looked at him with a poker face. 

"I don't hate you, I just don't want anything to do with you. I don't date my hookups,Jeongguk. So stop getting attached to me" Taehyung told him.

"That's why I want to be more than that. We started as one night stands,my bad. Let's start over,I want to seriously date you" 

"I don't. I haven't dated anyone for the last 7 years. Why do you think you are special?"

"I am hot?" Jeongguk answered. Making taehyung once again give with a straight face. "Fine,whatever I don't care I still won't leave you alone unless you like kill me or something" 

"Why would I do that?" Taehyung asked him.

"Talking about killing,you have a lot to explain about last night,Mr.Kim or..should I call you,V?" Jeongguk said,ignoring his question. 
 
"Please don't call me that,like ever again.  I really didn't want to involve you but you have to be stubborn and follow me back when I told you not to"

"I technically helped you. You should be thanking me"

"If things went wrong you could have died Jeongguk that's how serious this situation was:"

"But I didn't, so don't fret over it. Now let me just ask you the question that has been bugging me all night...who are you? What do you do? Are they part of a gang?"

"I am..an undercover cop?' Taehyung said,Jeongguk now gave him a poker face. 

"Sure"

"I am serious"

"Come on Taehyung. I won't annoy you more into telling me what you are because you obviously are lying to me right now. Instead tell me who was that hag you were after?"

"He is a gangster,leader of his own gang. They do every type of fucked up shit you could think of. You saw children in his basement so I think you have an idea what I am talking about. I was there to kill him and burn his drugs and all that shit. So I took the easy way and blew up the whole place"

"But what about the innocent people who died there?"

"There were no innocent people in there, Jeongguk. The innocent ran out because of the fire alarm and the only ones who stayed were the rats of Sungwoo. Maybe if they weren't so loyal they would have been alive now. Which is why you shouldn't trust anyone Jeongguk,not even me" Taehyung told him, making the younger one gulp because of how hot Taehyung stare was.

"Why were you there though?" He asked Jeongguk.

"My mother had some kind of business deal with Mr. Kang so he invited her here. Thanks to you I was able to get her out of there before as I made my little bro help me make some excuse to get her home. We are all she has so she takes us very seriously"

"You should have also gone, why did you follow me there?"

"I was worried"

"Ok but please don't ever involve yourself in something so dangerous" 

"Aw,Are you worried about me?" Jeongguk teased him but stopped when he saw how serious Taehyung was.

"Yes,I don't want to be the reason for an innocent person's death...again" Taehyung muttered the last word but the younger one still heard it. 

He was a bit confused and seeing Taehyung expression he knew it was something very close and serious. Before he could ask any more questions,They both heard the front door get unlocked as Jimin came inside.

"Taehyung and..Jeongguk? you stayed the night here. Did you guys-" Jimin was immediately cut off by Taehyung.

"No we did bit Jimin. We couldn't risk him going to his house so I just told him to stay the night" the older man explained it to his best friend as Jimin nodded in response. 

"What happened to the kids?" Jeongguk questioned jimin.

"Don't worry about them it's all handled. they will soon reach their parents. Thank you for the help last night though" Jimin thanked the younger boy who smiles in response. 

He was going to leave them alone in the lounge but he realised he had to talk to Taehyung. He stopped in his tracks and turned around towards them. "Taehyung, can we have a word...in private?"

Jeongguk smiled awkwardly,thinking what they want to talk about is so private but then again it's none of his business. What Taehyung, a guy he barely met almost a week ago, does is none of his business. Taehyung without questions stood up and followed jimin into the room for their private conversation. 

Once they were in the corner,making sure Jeongguk couldn't hear them because he didn't know about them. Jimin spoke up.

"boss called and was happy as fuck that we were successful. He said we should check our bank accounts...I think he paid us.. a lot for the mission so I cannot wait to check that." Jimin informed Taehyung about their pay check.

"About time,the bills were piling up. I am glad he paid us early this time. I mean we did risk our life so it better be worth it" Taehyung said to the older man who nodded in agreement. 

"Agree,anyway did you sleep with him again?" Jimin asked him once again. Taehyung rolled his eyes and shook his head.

"No,I told you before too. I also don't sleep with my hookups again you know that"

"But he is hot" 

"And???"

"I don't know I thought you guys are like fuckbuddies now...I would be that with him...or not I would just date him" Jimin answered his question,thinking about it. Taehyung raised his eyebrows.

"Why would you wanna date him?" Taehyung asked the shorter dude who just gave him a resting bitch face.

"Are you serious? He is a full package. He is hot,cute and very charming. Also the fact he was in that event last night means he is definitely loaded. He is super boyfriend material" Jimin's answer took Taehyung by surprise,yeah Jeongguk was all that but so what? 

Taehyung started to stare at Jimin in a weird way. 'Why is he complimenting him so much does he really likes him?' Taehyung thought to himself.

"Why are you looking at me like that? don't worry I won't steal him from you" Jimin backed up with a smile on his face. Taehyung scoffed,rolling his eyes. 

"I don't own him or whatever. You can date him if you want to" 

"I would have get him but he is more interested in you than me. Also though he is handsome I don't think he is my type so instead you should shoot your shot" He gave him a thumbs up.

"You know I don't date anyone,Jimin"

"Jeongguk isn't just anyone he is our friend now" 

"Is he?"

"Is he not? He helped us last night and he is very interested in you and we both know he isn't giving up any time soon now." Jimin told him. Taehyung didn't know what to say. 

"I don't know jimin. Jeongguk is somewhat nice but I just...don't want to date anymore I don't wanna risk it...Don't want to feel it again" Taehyung told him,his head held down.

"You know Taehyung, everyone's not the same. You never know...Jeongguk might be the one who will finally help you move on" Jimin put his hands on his best friend's shoulder and gave him a comforting smile. 

"Ugh I don't know. Let's just go back, he must be getting too curious" Taehyung turned back around,going back to Jeongguk who was getting impatient eating breakfast alone.

He saw younger,munching the food while he was on his phone. He looked up when he heard someone's presence next to him,it was Taehyung with Jimin next to him.

"Oh you guys are back on time. I know you are free today,wanna hang out out me?" He asked Taehyung who gave him a straight face.

"No" He replied coldly.

"Come on,it will be fun I promise. Do you listen to songs?" Jeongguk asked once again. Taehyung being the stubborn person he is...he once again replied with a no. 

"No I don't"

"He loves Ariana Grande" Jimin decided to join their conversation. Taehyung gave him a cold stare that was staring right through his soul. 

" What a coincidence!! me too. OK listen as you both know I sing. I am going to my hyung's studio to record a song so I wanted to ask if you both could come with me. I swear it's very fun in the studio,Namjoon hyung, the hyung whose studio I am going to,is also very cool so he won't mind you two. What do you say?" The younger looked too excited and though Taehyung wanted to keep his facade up he doesn't want to...make the younger sad.

"We would love to!! I have always been interested in that. Come on Taehyung let's go,we don't have anything to do anyway so let's experience something new" Jimin responded with the same level of excitement.

"What's in it for me?"

"I'll pay for the dinner afterwards. We can go anywhere you want" Food is Taehyung's weakness.

"Deal" He mumbled.

The other two jumped up in excitement. Getting ready to finally go to the studio as he finally agreed. They could not wait to get there already.
